This hotel couldn’t be in a better location - right in the old town and two steps from the port area. In the Montreal heat it was very welcome to be able to walk easily to attractions, restaurants etc. The hotel’s public areas are beautiful. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but enjoyed the room service we ordered (though it was a touch expensive). We were lucky to have a huge suite which included an amazing private terrace complete with loungers, sofa and dining table. Coming from Europe we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and facilities.

Some furnishings, including in kitchen, were showing signs of wear. However, that is a very minor comment.

The hotel is beautiful and the superior king room was a large suite, the price was less than I would expect for such an expansive, well appointed suite. Location was perfect, right in Old Port. The pedestrian only street, St. Paul Ouest, was crowded and touristy but there were so many good restaurants. If you walked the other direction it was much less crowded and there were even more great restaurants. No problem finding excellent food in Montreal.

Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was not good, I would not recommend it for breakfast or dinner. We walked to Park Mont Royal, but it is a vigorous, stadium steps approach and not really much when compared to parks in other large cities.

- accessibility to restaurant, attractions, transportation - from booking.com sites saw the nearby attractions & that’s how I planned my stay.

- location - cleanliness. they even have a program to donate $5/day to a local charity if you opt out of housekeeping for the day. I did participate. - the amenities: coffee maker (& supplies!), hot water pot (for tea), fridge, microwave, dishes, dish soap, dish cloth. It was like .. “need a dish cloth, oh there it is”. “need a dish soap, oh there it is. - needed to change room (they upgraded me but it didn’t work for me-thanks tho) & it was done quickly.

Excellent location, with some of the front desk staff being very helpful. The room was spacious and overlooked the cobbled street which was very nice. The location was in close proximity to many of the landmarks and the nearest train station was less than a 5 minute walk. Plenty of places to grab a drink and relax.

The payment method was very odd as we chose to pay at the property. They took a deposit, room deposit and payment and held it at the beginning of our stay. When we left, they did not use the held money but took the payment as a separate transaction, almost doubling the initial cost (albeit temporary). Be mindful of this, as your bank account will appear weird and it took almost a week to rectify.

Montreal is our favourite city to visit and we travel here often from Toronto, Ontario. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were all so incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious, one of the largest we have stayed in. The location is perfect, right behind the cathedral and surrounded by the pretty restaurants and shops of Old Montreal. This hotel is now our favourite and go-to for future travel.

Perfect location in Vieux-Montreal with lots of fascinating shops and fabulous restaurants within easy walking distance (Restaurant Bonaparte is a must). Place d’Armes Metro stop is a 6 minute walk away which puts the rest of Montreal within easy access. The room was large, made even warmer and cozier by the electric fireplace, and the king size bed was incredibly comfortable. We’ll absolutely have no problem staying here again.

The hotel could probably use a bit is a spruce up at some point, but it still provides a classy, comfortable stay in the best part of Montreal.

It was a beautiful, large room with a large bath. Well decorated, up to date furnishings, etc. Plenty of electrical outlets and charging slots. Fridge, little kitchenette, window opened onto main street. Very comfortable king bed, nice toiletries (after using them I purchased some Occitane Verveine). Everything we needed and wanted was there. Location was outstanding, right behind the Basilica and near lots of shops and restaurants. Great concierges, Odette and a charming man originally from Mexico City whose name I don't recall, both with so much helpful advice. Front desk clerks couldn't have been more helpful or more friendly, doormen, esp. Daniel, were great. We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends.

It was my fault to have booked a hotel with a king bed and a sofa bed. I was doing a lot of bookings for the trip and mixed it up with one of the other bookings in thinking it had two queen beds. The sofa bed was not terrible but was not terrifically comforatble. Restaurant's breakfast was good but not worth the price. It would be nice if they offered a quick, light breakfast to get guests on their way.

The hotel's location is superb, next to the Notre Damme. It's housed in a historic building but is completely renovated, still retaining an old charm. Our room was very spacious overlooking the courtyard and old Montreal. The staff was professional, friendly and gracious.

The hotel's restaurant Oskar is nice with a friendly service but could use better chefs. My Waldorf salad was missing grapes (one of the main ingredients) and the salmon was not fresh smelling almost badly.

The suite was spacious, modern, well-furnished, and quiet (facing interior patio). The location is superb, only steps to Rue St-Paul and a short walk to the cruise ship terminal. The valet staff, desk staff, bartender, and concierge (Antoine) were superb. Because we were first-time guests, we were upgraded to a balcony suite at no extra charge. This accommodation compensated for the minor inconvenience of waiting until 4pm to collect our room key.

The spacious suite had plenty of room for a king-sized bed, but was equipped with a queen. One or two luggage stands would have been helpful, but there were none. Expected more closet space in a suite, which would be essential for longer stays. The TV news channels included BBC, CBC, CNN, CBS, etc., but do not include FNC, which is available in Canada.

Really nice room with a balcony. Kind and helpful people working in hotel. Enjoyed the restaurant, food excellent people working there super friendly.

I only stayed one night so it was a fleeting experience. The check in a little slow but otherwise a positive experience. I really appreciated the gift tote bag. Nice ambiance in the hotel it was aesthetically appealing which I really like. It made me want to stay longer to enjoy it more but I was on a schedule. Some trouble with e coffee maker, getting it to make 2 cups.
