Auberge Saint-Pierre

A lovely hotel with an excellent location for exploring the old city and convenient for a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops. The room was clean and well appointed and we appreciated the little extras such as free coffee in the reception areas and places to sit and relax. However, it is the staff that make this place special. Very welcoming, nothing is any trouble - whether it is advice on where to eat or places to see and things to do they are very happy to help and that creates a wam and friendly atmosphere. We really appreciated all the help that Jimmy, in particular, gave us - he was so accommodating and knowledgable and did everything with a smile on his face. We would certainly come back here if we return to Quebec City.

We Did not take the breakfast option but the location, the accommodations, the desk and concierge service and the room staff were Fabulously Friendly and Ideal ! We felt extremely Valued and Welcomed ! Upon entering our room we found a very sweet message welcoming us on our 50th Wedding Anniversary along with chocolate Bon Bons ! Such a nice touch ! And I believe our room was upgraded to the 2nd floor too ! There was nothing not to like about The Auberge St Pierre and Quebec City as a whole ! Magnifique !! We’ll be back ! Merci !! Ps Loved the restaurant Matto as well !

Cannot think of anything quite honestly !

The room was amazing! Large, spacious bathroom and open are area ahead of bathroom. Front desk were very helpful and I was able to leave my bicycle in a secure area. Parking was just on the other side of Museum of Civilization (which we attended). Nice areas to have tea and lounge near lobby.

Nothing really. We enjoyed it very much.

The room was quite nice and we really liked it.. Large, simple but nicely appointed. Whirlpool was a very nice touch. Nice eating nook and sitting area. Incredibly high ceilings. Lovely sitting areas in and near the lobby with lit candles in the evening. Note: If you have physical challenges, you may want to avoid this style room. There is a set of stairs to the bed and then another set to the bathroom, both without rails. Going to the bathroom in the dark in the middle of the night is not for the feint of heart. Also, if you want a view, ask for a fourth floor room facing the St. Lawrence.

Unfortunately, the sound travels and we were constantly disturbed both early in the morning and late at night. We stayed in room 101 and the people in 201 above us sounded like they were constantly stomping around and dropping things. Not sure if it was just them or that there is a more general problem with the way the hotel structure transmits noise. At these prices, it would have been nice to have a quieter room.

the location was perfect quiet little street just across the museum the hotel lobby had lots of amenities for guests with families, like board games very very clean And staff went out of their way to ensure you had a good stay. i highly recommend this hotel

nothing, really outstanding place!

I'm assuming the hotel was a sort of renovated older building so it looked brilliant with the brick walls and such. The beds were spectacular, especially with the four pillows. AC was available and worked great. There were umbrellas provided by the hotel which were especially useful due to the heavy rain that occurred during our stay. Free bikes were available to be used for a duration of three hours, although there were only four of them. Great view, we were able to see the fireworks that were next to the river from our room.

The bathroom was great but one of the towel rails kind of broke partially, but it didn't really affect the stay.

The hotel was beautiful and comfortable with lots of amenities and interesting spaces to relax and spend time. The room was clean and came with a refrigerator, hot water kettle, tea/coffee maker, and great-quality soaps and shames in the spacious bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the space as a whole was open and airy. But what made the experience special was the kindness and friendliness of the hotel staff, who were not only able, but eager, to assist us in any matter that arose, from needing extra towels, to checking out a day early. They were all extremely accommodating, fun, and very nice.

The continental breakfast was good, but the price was very steep for what you got--for $24 per person, we would have liked some hot food, even if just scrambled eggs or oatmeal. But the breakfast was still very good and much appreciated.

We stayed at this hotel several days earlier when we travelled by train from Mtl to Quebec before taking the Charlevloix train to Baie St. Paul the next day. On our return to Quebec from Charlevoix, we were stranded at that train station at 8pm because the taxi we arranged never showed up and the actual train station was closed down for the day. I called the front desk at Auberge Saint Pierre and spoke to the wonderful gentleman who answered my call. Jimmy was excellent responding to our situation of being stranded at that train station and unable to make our way to the Auberge for our overnight stay. Jimmy contacted a taxi company to send a car to pick us up which we were. We cannot say enough how relieved and happy to see that car and meet Jimmy when we finally arrived at the hotel. Thank you very much Jimmy for your excellent assistance in our hour of need! Besides wonderful Jimmy, the bed pillows and mattresses were extremely comfortable, great sleep!

Pricey buffet breakfast at the hotel was the only breakfast option. As we did not want to pay for this breakfast, it is difficult to find other options in that area near the hotel though we eventually did.

I loved our room, exposed brick contrasted with airy white. The location was super convenient to restaurants and shops. There were lots of little sitting areas around the main floor if you didn’t want to stay in your room. A water station in the lobby was an eco friendly option I appreciated.They also had umbrellas at the front door in case of emergency- lots of thoughtful touches.

Since breakfast wasn’t included with our stay, it was better for us to go out- cost and selection both.

The hotel was very charming and the location was great. It was an easy walk to nearby restaurants and shops. The incline tram was a short distance away, but the walk up the hill wasn't so bad. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The onsite restaurant "il Matto" was fabulous. The breakfast buffet offered many wonderful choices, but not necessarily worth the cost. Free hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot choc) and water are available all day and night in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again.
