The best thing about the hotel is its location in the centre of the village. Many areas of the hotel offer great views towards the St. Lawrence river. The Le Coquart bar provided a relaxing place to end the day, with gentle live music, a good range of drinks and once again, the superb view towards the river. We had dinner at the Coverdale restaurant one evening - the food was outstanding and good value for money. Parking at the hotel was free and there was no problem getting a space in large car park. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room seemed a little dated and could probably do with modernisation. That said, it was clean, comfortable and quiet which is what we expected.

Having read reviews we knew it would be old fashioned with modest facilities, which was in line with the price, but actually the history of the place is fascinating and it does feel like you are being taken back in time, in a good way. The location is amazing and sitting in a chair on the lawn looking out at the view amazing. Food pretty good too.
Like all reviewers say it could do with a make over in parts without losing the character. Would love for the place to have a gym and safes in rooms. In places there seemed to be a lack of staff, bar doesn’t open until 3pm… why? Only ever saw one very lovely but over worked lady behind the bar.

Location is perfect. I like that there is an elevator to bring up luggage. The conservatory section has terrific views. The grounds are enchanting. I would definitely make use of the pool and tennis court during a summer stay.
Only negative is that the conservatory section could have been warmer when we went for breakfast. Below are suggestions. To be more environmentally friendly, it'd be nice to provide a small jug of milk for coffee instead of single use creamers. If possible, it'd be nice to have an automatic opening front door as it can be tricky to open the door when you have a suitcase. Also, an option of dinner and breakfast would be a nice addition.

Since you’re really the only reputable place to stay in the area for anyone who wants to go whale watching The truth about your bed size is fundamental to the expectations of your guests A double bed is a double bed In all of North America and Europe I upgraded for a queen size bed and got a double bed When I asked front desk about this The story was a sad convoluted story about bed sizes in North America compared to Europe Definitely lessens our experience of your facility

We had a great view of the river and the marina! Watching the sunrise and sunset, walking around the grounds and town, and catching a whale watch without driving were all big pluses. The food was superb! The breakfast buffet has everything you could ever want including custom omelets.
The rooms can get a bit warm. Most of the time the river keeps it cool and comfortable, but sometimes that is not enough.

The location is scenic. Tennis court and a pool with a bay view is a nice touch. We were lucky to stay there during a very warm and sunny weather! Breakfast buffet was really solid - a good amount and variety of food and dishes to choose from, like fruits & veggies, sausages, eggs, potatoes, yougurt, cornflakes, buns, toasts, jam. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was friendly! Would love to come back to that hotel sometime in the future.
There was nothing upsetting for us during our stay at Hotel Tadoussac, maybe a few little nit-picks, which are not worth mentioning here. The building is in a good shape, though it is quite old, you can feel it by the way the lobby and the rooms are designed, but that's the charm of that place. Anything super new, like a hotel building made of glass and concrete, would ruin the whole aesthetic of this place.

Location and views
Next to nothing as facilities no bell boy , no room service , no extra pillows !!!! I came back after visiting the sand dunes on day 2 and asked for extra shampoo at the front desk. The staff named Leo asked me if I had a reservation in the hotel and I asked him how many random people walk in asking for shampoo if they are not guests... Then he asked my name and room number. Clearly the question was seeing the color of my skin. Wonder if he'd ask anyone else the same question. If they asked for extra shampoo

I like this hotel very much. Although it is a bit old, it is very comfortable. The front desk gave me a room with a view. Looking at the beautiful sea view, I felt very happy. The location is also very convenient. The beach is downstairs, and the children can dig shells at low tide. The breakfast is very good,

Check in was easy and staff was really nice. Location was perfect. The outside grounds were really nice as well. The overall aesthetic of the building was amazing.
Pool was closed until after we left. The nostalgic feeling comes with dated facilities. Didn't go to the restaurant but looked expensive from the menu.

exceptional location overlooking the baie to enjoy the beauty day or night, rain or shine, many options for cafe, restaurant or market beautiful exterior looking and lobby
too old and out of date inside the room and washroom no AC, only ceiling fans, that you may be bothered by the noise from downstairs if they are using it during the night the couch in the room is so old and doesn’t look clean, you won’t want to sit on it😓
