Hotel Tadoussac

The location is scenic. Tennis court and a pool with a bay view is a nice touch. We were lucky to stay there during a very warm and sunny weather! Breakfast buffet was really solid - a good amount and variety of food and dishes to choose from, like fruits & veggies, sausages, eggs, potatoes, yougurt, cornflakes, buns, toasts, jam. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was friendly! Would love to come back to that hotel sometime in the future.

There was nothing upsetting for us during our stay at Hotel Tadoussac, maybe a few little nit-picks, which are not worth mentioning here. The building is in a good shape, though it is quite old, you can feel it by the way the lobby and the rooms are designed, but that's the charm of that place. Anything super new, like a hotel building made of glass and concrete, would ruin the whole aesthetic of this place.

Location and views

Next to nothing as facilities no bell boy , no room service , no extra pillows !!!! I came back after visiting the sand dunes on day 2 and asked for extra shampoo at the front desk. The staff named Leo asked me if I had a reservation in the hotel and I asked him how many random people walk in asking for shampoo if they are not guests... Then he asked my name and room number. Clearly the question was seeing the color of my skin. Wonder if he'd ask anyone else the same question. If they asked for extra shampoo

too old and out of date inside the room and washroom no AC, only ceiling fans, that you may be bothered by the noise from downstairs if they are using it during the night the couch in the room is so old and doesn’t look clean, you won’t want to sit on it😓

Great location - right in middle of town. Room was dated but fine. Great view overlooking the water. Staff was friendly and accommodating (despite shortages in personnel). Ate one supper in the restaurant and it was very good.

No housekeeping because of staff shortages. No idea how they will deal with this in the future. Perhaps, a small reduction in my final bill could have been offered. No such accommodation was forthcoming.

Historic hotel with lovely architecture and lots of character, including the iconic red roof visible from far out in the St. Lawrence. Great location on the harbour near whale-watching departure points and restaurants. Comfortable, spacious and nicely furnished lobby area. Very good buffet breakfast, with lots of choice and certain items like eggs prepared to order.

Rooms were a little small and room furnishings were dated.

Classic historic hotel in the best location in town. The hotel has all the facilities you need (restaurant, bar, pool, tennis courts, etc. The view from the chairs on the lawn are amazing. Sit back with a drink and watch for the whales swimming in the harbour.

There is not much to dislike here. The hotel is not modern BUT it is true to its historical roots. If you need modern luxuries you are out of luck here (and in Tadoussac in general)

- Classical building, gives you a cozy feeling - very central in the small town, walking to the port in a few minutes (that's why most guests are here - whale watching) - breakfast is decent - nice idea to have puzzles etc in the entry hall to use, kids loved the game center in the basement - outdoor pool

- rooms are showing its age but it's ok for a couple of nights there - front view will be certainly nice, otherwise you'll see the car park

Exceptional location Very good staff at front desk able to answer enquiries fully and deal with check in efficiently and dealing with our change of booking by a day with ease. Rooms were past their best but functional and very comfortable beds I would recommend this hotel

The rooms but it was not the sort of place were you stayed in your room a lot so not so important. Dining room could be made to feel more modern but food was very nice.

historic inn. beautiful. great location. close to marina, shops, and walking trail by river

some upkeep of grounds needed. some repairs of windows needed. one front desk person could be a little friendlier and less abrupt

spectacular location, but heavy reliance on the historical reputation of the inn. Microbrewery down the street is one of the best we visited in Canada.

Lots of deferred maintenance. Room chairs need reupholstering. For this price, room should have a refrigerator. In early season, there are virtually no restaurant choices in town, and the hotel restaurant, while good, seemed very understaffed.
