We stayed three nights in this beautiful place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was right at the heart of the old town, close to the Wenshu monastery and the attractions nearby. You can't beat the location. You also can't beat the quality of the room and facilities. The beds were so comfy that the bathroom was first class with an amazing shower and a modern toilet. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel is managed so well, and things run smoothly there. We were allowed to use the washing machine, which was most welcome. Most of the staff spoke excellent English and were so helpful with all the local information and advice. We learned about the didi cab hailing app from the reception staff, and that really helped us during our 3 week trip in China. We are really grateful to the staff for everything. The hotel restaurant was great and the breakfast spread was absolutely amazing.

We loved everything. We will book there again and even wish we could transport this lovely place to other places we travelled.

The staff were so professional, friendly, caring and thoughtful. As I mentioned that my sister was pregnant, they booked us nearer to the lift and planned our travel itinerary so we do not need to do so much walking. They were always helpful when we made any requests or enquiries, and assisted us with purchasing tickets as we are not familiar with the methods of purchase. When booking for drivers from the hotel, the pricing rates were very good and the service was door to door, with English information printed out for us when we depart, along with drinks that we didn't fully expected. The room is cleaned daily and fresh amenities are replaced. Although they are a smaller hotel, but the level of service is definitely better, if not on par, with many of the best hotels I have been!

Room was large and spacious and the round bathtub was lovely after a busy day in the city. The bed was large and comfortable. The room had high tech lighting and curtains were also controlled by a button. There was a huge projector screen in the room too and the toiletries provided were high quality. The staff here were the most helpful and friendly of our whole 2 week stay in China and they all spoke a great level of English. They helped us book tickets to the Panda centre and sort airport taxis. The breakfast buffet was great - a lovely choice of food and they made you fresh coffee. On the day we left, they made us up a breakfast box as we left before breakfast time. There was a luggage room available - although we didn't need to use this. The area of the hotel was great - in a more historical part of the city and close to many restaurants, cute shops and the monastery. Would recommend this hotel to all.

Very friendly and helpful staff that answered every question, helped to book tickets, plan things and helped with navigating around the city. Everyone spoke very good English as well. The hotel has a very good location, close to the subway and area with a lot of local restaurants. Rooms are spacious, very clean and super modern. Hotel has a very cute yard inside where you can enjoy really good breakfast or just rest after walking around the city. One of the best experiences I ever had staying at the hotel. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Chengdu.

Nothing really comes to my mind

The hotel is exceptional. I stayed in a single room for 3 nights. The decoration, the design, the quality of equipment, the toilet and shower were far beyond my expectations, including high quality toiletries. You find bottled water (2), all-in-one instant coffee (2) alongside the kettle, replaced daily. And on your arrival, you find some nice selection of snacks, candies and fruits in your room. And a lighter selection is available at the reception all day. The breakfast is open buffet for 6 days, changing slightly each day with some special dish, and it includes good quality fresh coffee too, butter, bread, milk, flakes, and local dishes and fruits for sure. If you are not good with chopsticks like me, they have a lot of fork and knife. For Sunday, you need to check among 8 fixed selections on Saturday. It will be ready exactly on the time you asked for. The English level is higher than big business hotels, and it eases all process during your stay. The manager, she is always on her duty, very kind and helpful. Location is great, just in downtown, in 5-7 minutes walking distance to Wenshu Monestary and the metro station. The wifi connection is stable and fast. My two Chinese colleagues stayed for 2 nights too. They were first suspicious about my choice, recommended regular big business hotel but after seeing the hotel, they enjoyed the hotel and admitted that this was a great choice. Overall, great experience and I will definitely prefer Xinshu Garden Inn for my future stays.

I think this is the best hotel we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in quite a few. First rate service, anticipating a traveller's needs and if there is anything else you need, the staff are super helpful, speak excellent English, and go above and beyond. Fantastic, varied breakfast with both authentic and continental options. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped, and the beds are huge and comfortable. We got tasters of local snacks on arrival, and just in general, the attention to detail was really high. We had a great stay, thank you for everything. If (when) we come back to Chengdu we will definitely be staying here.

Situated in one of the nicest parts of Chengdu near the monastery, this is a little oasis of calm. The whole team from owner/manager to junior staff speak good English and are eager to help and advise and book tickets etc. Our room was very well appointed and spacious, and the little courtyard where breakfast is served also has a bar where you can sit and have a drink in the evening.

Difficult to find! The hotel location is wrongly marked on the map by Google, Maps.me and Booking.com at the time of writing. In addition to warning people that the location has moved recently (the written address is correct on Booking.com) it would be helpful to put a sign out in the street as the hotel is a bit hidden down an alley way

The staff is lovely. Ms Sophia has an extraordinary English level, is super helpful and kind. The rest of the staff are amazingly kind and helpful. The restaurant has several options, including Chinese and western food. The location is superb. Walking streets just at the corner, and close to a subway station. Rooms are cozy and clean. And they have four little birds in the garden.

A couple of minor issues... Despite the beauty of the hotel and rooms, there is no place to open the bags. Also, the bathroom sensors can be boring, switching on the lights and fan when someone wakes up at night. Good if there is a way to disable it.

Absolutely amazing experience. I would recommend everyone coming to Chengdu to stay here! The staff are attentive, friendly and English speaking. My room was full of cute panda-themed decorations and they left me an adorable fruit and candy platter after a long day outside walking around! The free breakfast is phenomenal, with lots to chose from. They also have a menu full of both authentic and more western food for a wide array of palates. There is a beautiful outdoor space too and the entire atmosphere was very relaxing- I didn’t want to leave! Also very luxurious rooms with high tech functions like automatic curtains and a toilet warmer.

The property was extremely clean. everyday they would come to clean and bring new slippers, towels, toilet paper and water. There was a smart toilet in the bathroom with heated seat who opened every time it sensed you were approaching. as soon as you were done it would flush and close on its own. the beds are sooo fluffy and you can close the curtains by pressing a button near the bed. there is also the AC who saved us in the heat. we were so cozy that we almost felt sad when it was time to go out, ahahahah. It was my birthday and the staff was amazing i can’t begin to talk about how more than perfect they were. I really did not expect it. They put a birthday song when i went to the breakfast area and they wrote happy birthday with the carrots in my noodles!! they also gave me a cake with a crown and a candle. The cake was delicious. I almost cried. they were so?? my english is not good enough to express my gratitude at the fullest. Also the breakfast was always so good (i loved the salad with the special sauce and the spring rolls). 100000000000/10, would recommend. I’ll come back if I ever come back to chengdu.
