Very friendly staff, everybody I spoke to spoke proper English. The room was very big and comfortable. Despite ongoing constructions nearby, the room was dead silent. Free water, vegetable snack and soft drinks were very nice addition. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I had in Asia! Large buffet with plenty options for vegetarians, and some for vegans as well.

The room could be a bit cleaner. Generally it was clean (for example bed was spot on), but some parts of the floor were not cleaned properly. I am a very cleanliness-sensitive person and room was clean enough for me, so I guess it should be perfectly fine for most people.

The location is very good. It is very close to the bund and very close to the metro line 10, which goes from Hongqiao airport. The staff was very friendly and spoke very good english. They called us a taxi to the airport and we could leave our bags at the hotel after check-out. The breakfast was perfect.

Great location, very close to Metro Line 10 and 14. 10 minutes walk to Yu Garden. We are warmly welcomed by the employees from the hotel. They are really helpful, efficient and professional, especially Mr. Yin Feng . We had a family suite with a king bed, a queen bed and a sofa bed, which was perfect for a family with four persons like us. The room was new, beautiful and clean. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choices, Chinese food as well as western food. When I visit Shanghai again, I will definitely choose this hotel as well.

The breakfast spread was really good, the baked goods were one of the best part of the breakfast. The staff is polite and courteous and look after the guest well. The best part is the location, restaurants and pub right below the hotel, very close to metro station and great street food area of Yu Yuan Garden yet in a quite lane. They also have a free laundry service which was great for us as it was quite hot and we had tones of stuff from our Beijing trip. You can get coffee and bottled water from the lobby any time you need. They also had one plus one offer on beers during happy hours with a great view in their restaurant.

Breakfast is various! The reception is also friendly, well-spoken English and willing to help. Beds are comfy with free snacks in the room. Moreover, the location of the hotel is fantastic! It is only 3-5 minute walk from the metro. I even walked to the hotel from The Bund for 20 minute ;).

There is smoke smell from the air-conditioner during the night which is very uncomfortable and hard to sleep since the smell is very strong and it does disturb me and my family. However, during the day, the smell is normal.

Very comfortable bed. Very close to the Bund and Yu Garden, comfortable to use the subway or bus. Lovely art inside the hotel and free coffee/ tea in the lobbys sitting area.

Room although big, was not very clean. Quite old looking and wasn't clean thoroughly, here and there paint was going off. Building outside looks terrible. Something was falling off at night. No tea or coffee inside the room. It's more like an apartment to rent, don't expect too much.

The room size is very ideal and the upkeep of the entire property is very good! Location is also accessible as it is a good walking distance from the metro station and bus stop. Free mini-bar, use of gym and laundry area are also good addition to its amenities. Such great value for money! The cafe and its rooftop view provide a very suitable place to unwind at the end of the day. Hotel staff are very accommodating (speak English well). My family and I enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely return on our next visit to Shanghai.

Near waitan, easy to get a taxi. Can reach several restaurants and supermarkets on foot. Also the restaurant in the hotel is good. Very modern facilities, good service as well.

The isolation of the room windows are not so well, since there is construction downstairs, it could be loud at night. The curtains are not possible to be closed completely, so it's not perfect dark at night

The hotel is located very close to a metro station, although not at the center of tourism. Quite close to Yu Yuan Garden. The room was OK. The bed was great!

The staff spoke very little English, so they did not know how to direct me to restaurants or even a supermarket, which was just to the left of the hotel. The room was cleaned every day, but not 100% clean. The floor was not wiped thoroughly.

Nice hotel, big room. Location is ok, walking distance from many attractions. The breakfast is very good.

A glass separates the bathroom/toilet from the bedroom with a curtain that didn’t work properly so you could see through (they tried to fix it but the day after the same was happening). The room was not very well cleaned (especially the cabinets).
