I like the location since it is just a walking distance from The Bund and Yuyuan Garden. The breakfast is good as well.

Central location, walking distance to old city and Yuyan gardens, confortable twin room with modern bathroom, complete breakfast.

Big construction works started in February 2024 (and for at least a few months) in the block accross the hotel, from 6am till late night. Not the fault of the hotel but the noise caused short night sleep.

Excellent price and great value for money! Nothing fancy but everything that I wanted for a week away. Good internet, quiet, view over a park. Daily house keeping with water, coffee tea provided. Good shower and comfy bed, USB power plug in so no hassle with adapters. Great location!!!! Quick walk to Nanjing pedestrian street, Peoples Square, The Bund and Yu garens. Subway also a quick walk for everything else. Friendly staff, overall a great experience and would stay again!

Restaurant was only open for breakfast

The hotel is tidy and the beds are comfortable. The kettle provided was clean and usable. The housekeeper meticulously cleans the apartment on a daily basis. The hotel's cuisine was delicious. I stayed there for over a week, and breakfast was included, so I ate there every day. Both Western and eastern cuisines were available. The yam dessert balls were delicious and irresistible. Aside from that, it is a lovely place to stay. The location is convenient to the city and the Yu Yuan Gardens station, as well as a number of bus stops. It is especially safe for women to walk home at night. Additionally, it is close to a renowned food street that serves delicious local cuisine at reasonable prices.

Since there is no air conditioning and only a heater in the spring, the room was quite humid.

For China... Very good breakfast and taste. Very good location even at the beginning it doesn't look like. The rooms are spacious and you have all you need in there. (We just came from Tokyo wehre the rooms are tiny) Provided amenities when I asked for. There wasn't anything in the rooms we booked but I recommend you for Japan and China to have a camera finder just in case.

The stuff is not interested at all to help you if you have any questions how to get to some spots you want to go. I do speak a bit Chinese and used as well a translator, the answer was "the Hotel doesn't pay me to answer questions of tourists". The security who checks if you have breakfast included or not kept telling me everyday that I don't have breakfast included and I have had to go to the reception to get it "approved"

I don’t think it’s possible to find a better deal per night in Shanghai. I looked and looked and this was the best rated and decent looking hotel available for a more than reasonable price. It’s also a Campanile brand hotel, so while not a life changing stay, you can always count on a clean room and (usually) a convenient location. This hotel in particular was a bit old, some construction going on nearby from 7:00am, but we didn’t have an issue with noise. Two metro stations withing walking distance. One takes you to Disney (a transfer is needed to line 11) and the other one is the Yu Garden Station which takes you to the airport (a transfer is needed in East Naning).

Bit old, some renovations are needed in some areas. Water takes too long to heat up. The washing machine and the dryer require payment to be used and do not work as expected unless you load them below half of their capacity.

This was my second stay and I like the convenience; lots of facilities nearby, 20 minute walk to Nanjing Road and the Bund. I will stay here on my next visit and recommend Campanile to my friiends.

Really good breakfast. Location good - food streets, metro all close walking distance, but did not feel like a touristy (hence overpriced) location

Check-in was a bit slow (unclear why it took so long to process our passports, registration etc.). Wasn't clear how the payment arrangement worked (the first credit card presentation at the start of the stay was actually for a deposit and a block for the full amount, not the full settlement, which was completed at the end of the stay with a second signature).

The hotel has a great location for tourists. It is five minutes away from a central metro station; the Bund, the Yu Garden, and the Shangai museums are all walking distance and can be reached on foot in 15 minutes or less. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious, and had a nice bathroom. Overall, the breakfast was OK (croissants were not very tasty/good). If you fancy a beer or a nice cocktail, there is a nice bar next to the hotel.

There are not very many restaurants or shops near the hotel. Also, when checking in the receptionist asked us many times to confirm that my partner and I (both men) were happy to sleep in a king-sized bed (despite having booked exactly that!).

A very clean, well run hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. It was good value for money and is in a good location less than 10 minutes walk from People's Square.

I didn't like not being able to control the temperature of the room. It was stifling hot in there, but occupants have no control over the heating system. The thermostat control was just for show, and changing settings made no difference. I had to keep opening and shutting the window to get comfortable. I still enjoyed my stay though.
