The room and balcony were beautiful and clean. Housekeeping was very friendly and always made sure our room was clean. The beach is only a few feet from the front of the hotel, and it is a short walk to all of the restaurants in Tamarindo. We walked to dinner every night and always felt perfectly safe. We kept to the road and there were always a lot of people walking at night. The beach is beautiful, not a lot of shade though, so if you need shade, you'll have to walk towards town and rent one of the beach umbrellas. The water is nice for swimming.

LOL, I wish there had been an ice machine, it would have made our beach trips easier. There were definitely animals in the walls, but that was more of a source of amusement than something bad. It is to be expected in that part of the world.

Wonderful place. Great and very cozy location. it's pretty much at the very beginning of Tamarindo town but the town itself is small enough when walking an extra 5 min is not a big deal. There is a bar/restaurant connected to the hotel which made it super convenient the first night when we didn't feel like walking far after a long drive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. This is our second time staying in Tamarindo and this was much better experience with lower price and higher quality of the place for the money. The outside garden is very nice!!! I could see the beach from it. There is a little river that runs between the property and the beach, in a low tide you can walk though it although get ready to get muddy, otherwise it only takes a min to walk out to the main street and access the beach through the next property nearby.

One of our rooms had a shower that could have been updated. Back in the day it was probably awesome with lots of settings and jets, but now that creates more confusion and didn't always work properly. Warm water was not always steady but this is a common issue in majority of the places on the beach, so I don't think it was that property issue.

It shares an entrance with an AWESOME restaurant that leads straight onto the beach! Staff was wonderful and rooms were comfy. There's a beach shower for rinsing off and hammocks for lounging.

Stairway light shuts of automatically (and very quickly!) Make sure to note where the switches are so you can easily find them again in the dark. If your windows are facing streetside, be prepared to join whatever party is happening outside. You will hear EVERYTHING!

Pretty much right on the beach so was easy for us to get out there everyday and enjoy making the most of it. We stayed in two rooms as we ended up extending our stay by one night and both were in great condition, very clean, comfortable beds and good showers. The staff were very friendly and accommodating

The sliding door didn't really lock very well and since it was on the ground floor this was a bit inconvenient

Fantastic property! Close to the beach and the rooms look identical to the pictures. What you see is exactly what you get. Sandy runs the place and she is so nice and welcoming and truly cares about her guests.

Only downside is the restaurant next door can get a little loud sometimes but it’s not too bad really and things usually get quiet by 10 at the latest.

Great location. Close to the beach and far enough away from the noise, but not too far from the action. I really appreciated how close it was to Playa Grande which was just across the estuary. They also cleaned the room everyday! Loved the ambiance of the dining area. I had dinner my last night and it was delicious!

Although dinner was very tasty, I thought the pricing was a bit high. It was a nice treat for my last night.

The location is good next to the beach. It is a walking distance of the city centre. Wifi was good, aircon worked fine and grand old Lady in reception was very helpful. The rooms are clean and the hotel seems safe.

In my opinion, the room was smaller than was written on booking.com. Our 4-bed room for four adults was a bit tiny. As it was heavy raining during our stay, we had to stay a lot in a room and we did not like a half-open "bar-door" to the bathroom, it did not give needed privacy to visit toilet...

Location was on quiet end of the Main Street with walking distance to the action. The patio outside our main floor room was shaded and enjoyable to use. *Even had monkeys visit in the trees above.

Rooms were clean and large but very basic. As we were there on the weekend, the music from the restaurant attached was constant until 10 pm close. It was gentle music but was loud.

The room was very average, had a bathroom with a shower. Had a TV and a fridge and safe in it. Fairly quiet in the room. Great location to the rest of Tamarindo, fairly short walk to all the shopping, restaurants and the beach. The Red Dor that's connected is AMAZING. best food and drinks around. Fairly cheaper than a lot of the hotels nearby
