Hotel Schwaiger

This hotel couldn't be a better choice in Prague, away from the crowd of tourists. Close to a park, in the north, between lots of embassies, it's placed in a very nice location with access to public transportation after a short walk and in a very safe area. If you are looking for a retreat in Prague this is it. The staff was very welcoming with us and gave us really nice tips around Prague, which we appreciated very much. Rooms are large, clean with lots of amenities and the breakfast was very good. You have to try the restaurant near this hotel, besides the one at the hotel which unfortunately was closed when we arrived.

If you are looking for a quite room, do not take the one with balcony or facing the street. The cobblestone street is making a humming noise when cars pass by. Plus Na Slamniku restaurant sometimes has concert nights which end at 00:00 and the bass can be felt in the room. With windows closed it's really not bad at all, but sensitive people might have a hard time with this. After a long day of walk in Prague, we were so exhausted that these didn't matter and we were already used with living facing a busy street and late night sleepers. So maybe these rooms are not suitable for you if you prefer quietness and you are a light sleeper.

Lovely hotel in a quiet, leafy embassy area, with nice squares with plenty of bars and restaurants located within walking distance. No mass tourism at all. Great park for running some 200 m from the hotel. The staff were very good; one morning the taxi was delayed, and I was getting late for work. Martin at the reception promptly offered to get me an Uber on his personal account. His helpfulness saw me delivering my lecture at the university in time. Such acts along with the location, the breakfast, the spacious room, the atmosphere etc means that I can give Hotel Schwaiger my highest recommendation.

Nothing really

From the moment we entered the lobby, we felt warmly welcomed and taken care of. Our room was spacious, with a cozy bed, nice linen and choice of pillow. Bathroom was good size. Room quiet through the night. Breakfast included many choices: cereals, meat, cheeses, breads, sweets, even a waffle maker. Breakfast staff was helpful and smiling. Hotel neighborhood is one of the nicest and safest in Prague. Beautiful restored buildings including foreign embassy residences. Just 5 minutes walk to shops and many restaurants, as well as the Hradcany Metro stop- handy for reaching other areas of town. Also just a few minutes walk to a huge park with ponds, gardens and many trails.

we were already for the second time in Hotel Schwaiger. A small, cozy boutique hotel in a very safe and nice area. less than 2 minutes there is a beautiful park for walking. 7 minutes walk to the Metro station and with 3 stations you'll be downtown - or with about 15 minutes walk you can reach Prague Castel. The room was a very good size, recently renovated with a nice decoration, clean, new bathroom. Breakfast was perfect, very fresh, and had many choices. The Staff is very polite and helpful. definitely again when we come back to Prague. The only point is the hotel has no Parking. and also is located in Blue Zone so if you travel with your own car you need to pay during the week day, but the Staff helps you with Parking reservations and finding a place... all easy, not a big deal.

The room was nice, the staff were very kind, and the breakfast was perfect. Yet, the best for me was that the hour limit for checkout was very reasonable, later than many other hotels in the surroundings, significantly improving our experience on the last day. Fortunately, we could have our fantastic breakfast, calmly finish packing, and prepare for leaving.

I have any bad comments, yet the location is indeed a little bit out of the route. Still, it was possible to walk (for a while) until downtown and the castle... and there is a bus nearby, but the connections are not so straightforward. Sometimes it was easier to walk from the tram station to the hotel.

I’ve never seen a more spotlessly clean bathroom than here. Beds are super comfy. We had a cute nice room 3rd floor where you felt like you had even more privacy. Staff are all super friendly. Food was great, breakfast and dinner. Cute little touch with the waffles station.

That the metro station is around 10but I’m a lazyperson so don’t mind me 😂it’s a cute little walk through all sorts of embassies and it’s fun to guess which country it is based on their flags outside, so time goes by fast.

Fabulous hotel for a good price; good location (although better take an uber to go to town), very good and correct breakfast, very friendly staff, and excellent room (nice, clean, cosy and spacious!). The hotel is hyper-well organized and has eye for detail: the little soaps they provide are excellent quality, the bed is great, and I even got a bottle of complementary sparkling wine on day 3. Nice gestures!

I had a little issue with a fosset that wouldnt open (but fairly rapidly corrected); and although 1 window has a screen that closes perfectly for the night, the other one didnt, so some light peaks in in the early morning. Also, you get 1 L of complementary water irrespective of the stay (they should provide a bottle every two days). But these are really minor details.

The room was huge, comfy and very clean. Beds were good and there was also a very nice bed four our child. Air conditioning worked well so it was a nice temperature in the room. Breakfast was really good, all the food was highest quality. The location of the hotel was perfect, the surrounding area (Bubenec) was good for just to walk around, there was also a good restaurant just a cross the road and many more little further away. The hotel also arranged easy transport from the airport.

Really can't complain about anything. The elevator broke up one day, but was fixed within a couple of hours.

I have to say 10/10 I didn't give many times before. But this Hotel extended my expectations and was the best hotel I ever stayed in Prague. I am traveling to Prague very often I tried more than 10 hotels in city centre so far. Staff super helpfull, room was new, clean, comfort. And the breakfast incredibly good and modern. After a long time I saw someone who follow actual food trends and I really enjoyed it! I reccomand with 5 tars and always pick up this estate in future.

Everything with this hotel was great! We had the most pleasant stay with them and the service and staff were 5/5. If you are looking for a hotel a little further away from the city center or Prague Old Town (as we were), this is perfect for you! Everything you want to visit and see is still at a walking distance but away from the most crowded tourist attractions. The staff will also guide you with anything you need, and provide you with tickets for public transportation. The breakfast was small but still everything we needed, and we also tried the hotel restaurant during lunch and dinner time, which was great. A special thanks to the staff; we visited this place during my birthday, and they kindly took that into account and left us a little bubbly surprise at the room that day when we were away in the city. Overall, absolutely perfect! When we visit Prague again -and we will- this is where we’ll be staying!
