LH Vintage Design Hotel Sax

Check-in and check-out were simple and at convenient times. The hotel is compact and all rooms are easily reached by elevator. The room was quite large and comfortable. The vintage design is a surprisingly refreshing change from other hotels. Room service was standard. The breakfast was decent albeit nothing special. The location is excellent and just a few minutes by foot from the Malostranské náměstí tram stop. It is a particularly safe area of Prague, perhaps at least because the hotel is right next to the U.S. Embassy. There is a variety of restaurants, bars, and pubs in walking distance. The Charles bridge is also just a few minutes away by foot.

The windows in my room faced the corridor, so unless the drapes were fully closed, anyone could see inside from the hotel corridor. However, with the drapes fully closed, there is no natural lighting in the room. The shower has the typical design issue of flooding half the bathroom, and there is visible water damage to the floor and door frame next to the shower. Neither the clock in the room nor the lamp embedded in the bathroom mirror worked.

We booked a family suite for two nights and it was lovely. We travelled to Prague with two kids, aged 8 & 11 and they had their own little room which contained a single bed and a trundle bed that pulled out from underneath. The main room was quite spacious, with room for two chairs at the foot of the bed for the kids to watch tv (as they get up early!). Breakfast was included in our rate and it starts at 8. It is very good, a selection of hot food (sausage, bacon & eggs), pastries, breads, fruit, cereal, yoghurt....something for everyone!! A short walk from the Malostranské náměstí tram stop, with so many restaurants and cafés in the area, you won't need to go far! 10 mins walk to the castle (Pražský hrad on the signs!). It's up a lot of steps but so worth it for the view, then it's an easy walk from there back down to the Charles Bridge (Karlův most) and on into the old town. Very easy to get a tram back as well if you're not up to the walk!

Honestly, I have no complaints.

- Nice location: close to Karlov Bridge, Pražský hrad. As well as metro station Malostranská is near by; Quiet neighbourhood, shops and cafes not far away. - Hotel and room design: room is equipped with all necessary things, even with coffee machine. Design itself is modern. - Warm rooms: both heating and air conditioning available

- There is no hot water in the hotel, due to boiler or other issues, it is quite complicated to take a shower after cold long walk. It is a big disadvantage :( - If there are a lot of guests at the hotel, it could be difficult to find a free table for breakfast, as lobby (where breakfast takes place) is quite small. - It would be nice to have a soap dish and a glass for toothbrushes/toothpaste in the bathroom

Lovely hotel with loads of mid century modern items and artwork. Lots of interesting lighting and fixtures. Great location. Although at first I was apprehensive about having an internal room (no fresh air, no window to outside) I ended up really enjoying my 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious (included scrambled eggs and other hot food) and the bathroom had a nice big tub. The rooms did not have a kettle but they did have a coffee machine which produced hot water if you ran it through longer. This was fine for a short stay and the reception staff were very good.

In an internal room, you need the air con all the time (especially in summer), so the filters need to be cleaned really often to make sure things smell fresh. I mentioned this to reception already and they made a note to tell housekeeping. There was also an air purifier in the room, so that has filters too. If these are cleaned then that takes care of the air quality well.

Stylish, boutique hotel in very center in Prague. Super comfortable beds, silent and superb breakfast for those who want something light, as chia with yogurt, fresh fruit salat or nice options of hot food options.

Breakfast staff serving food with flip flops and leggings doesn’t look appropriate for any hotel. I was mislead by Parking icon which was in description- minimum payment is 22 € so count this additional to your account. Breakfast odours start coming early in the morning from lobby, so close the room doors to avoid them waking you up.

Everything was perfect! The location is fantastic between Prague Castle and the city center. We loved the breakfast offering, very delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was small but it was clean with confortable bed and very cozy. We were glad that gave us the opportunity to store our luggage earlier than the check-in time. We appreciated the fact that they prepared our breakfast before the regular breakfast time as we had to leave early for the airport.

One funy thing happened, when we arrived the guy at the reception desk gave us only one room for the three of us who actually were collegues !!! He seemed to be tired and out of the scop !! Apart from that, the hotel is really cut and people are nice as well as the rooms. But, heater in the room didn't work and shower neither. But we really enjoyed the design and the wellcoming of the staff and the envirenment is so calm and beautiful. If I have to go back to Prague, I definetly will go back to this hotel !

The hotel is a lovingly designed and uniquely furnished gem. The suites are very spacious and offer ample storage space. The breakfast buffet is varied and lavish. The location is fantastic between Prague Castle and the city center. There are streetcar and metro stations nearby. Within walking distance, you'll find an enormous selection of different restaurants and bars. The hotel offers several parking options.

I would have loved to stay longer.

The location is a little set back, but actually great if you're not interested in always being downtown as it's well connected by tram. The decor of the hotel is also truly unique in a field of generic looking hotels. If you like the retro look, you'll be in heaven. Breakfast was average, but perfectly decent for the price.

We basically had no hot water the whole stay, but the hotel were very surprised and apologetic about it. Main negative for us was the WiFi, it only seemed to work in reception, in rooms it was pretty much non-functional, couldn't even load a webpage. So if you need to do any form of work, you may need a hotspot.

Great location, very close to the castle and to Charles Bridge. Super safe area because of a lot of embassies, police station, etc. Possibility for safe parking in a garage 1 minute walk from the hotel. We had a deluxe double room and we loved it so much: super spacious room, comfortable bed, nice interior design, big bathroom, huge windows facing a very calm street, Lot of nice restaurants close by. We had to leave very early so unfortunately we missed the breakfast, but we were offered breakfast boxes which we could take with us on the road and we thought it was lovely of them. All the staff members we met were very nice and polite. We would absolutely book here again!
