Edgewater Inn and Suites

The rooms were large and clean and we had a great view. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. It was in a good location right next to a grocery store and restaurants.

They were remodeling which caused a few problems but not much. The hot tub wasn’t open which was a bummer. The housekeeping was the worse part of our whole stay. We stayed a week and only on our last full day did they actually do anything in our room. They never cleaned our room or replenished our room supplies. We had to ask them for new towels and took our own trash out. Once a housekeeper opened our door without knocking. We were in the middle of getting ready for the day. Had they done their job our stay would have been perfect but I can only rate this hotel a 5 out of ten.

Our room was newly renovated, clean, and comfortable with a spa-like feel to the bathroom due to its new fixtures, rain showerhead, and large new towels. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated that the lamps contained built-in electrical sockets (bring your cubes) for phone charging and running my husband’s CPAP machine. We enjoyed the huge new TV and downloaded a couple of our favorite apps to watch some shows. Although there was no landscaping in back, we had a small porch and water view, which was nice. The indoor pool is open, and there was a small exercise room with a treadmill, stationary bike, and elliptical. The hotel was convenient to Highway 101, the front desk was friendly, and there was a Safeway just across the parking lot to serve our snack needs. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel does not have any sort of breakfast available, although there is 24/7 access to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby.  Be aware renovations are ongoing throughout the hotel and there are boxes and supplies in the hallways, but they really didn’t bother us or interfere with enjoyment of our room.

Screen door was off it's rails and we were unable to put it back ourselves. There was no available maintenance staff to fix it and the other staff didn't have time to look at it for us. It was a shame as it reduced our ability to appreciate having the outdoors right outside. Also this door was only fly screen and could not be locked. It would be better if it was, so you could go to sleep with the fresh air but feel secure. There were no luggage racks and the staff could not access any.

Check in and check out went smooth, hot tub was very relaxing, water view was nice, bathroom and shower looked brand new (very clean) bed was comfortable. Location was convenient for our needs.

On/off switch for hot tub didn't work properly (however we were able to make it work) We booked a room with hot tub and seating area but the only seating we had was two plastic lawn chairs we found outside on the deck. TV was very small (32in I believe).

clean and quiet. Not far from the beaches and local shopping and near by restaurants. 2 major grocery stores within walking distance.

The room had a weird layout with the closet being kind of in between the door and the bed. They were having tv cable service problems and we only received 1 channel for the 2 nights we were there. They offered a $20 credit but haven't received any conformation regarding the refund.

It was close to the freeway which was nice- If you need any supplies or anything it is basically in the parking lot of safeway and fred meyer! They are remodeling and put in new flooring, paint and bathroom. The receptionist was very nice

We had an adjoining room and it was very noisy and could hear the neighbor talking all night:( The breakfast was very slim- OJ/coffee/fruit and pastries. It is breakfast, as advertised, as many hotels offer a hot meal it was a bit of a surprise.

The check in person/process was very nice. The clerk was friendly and helpful. I loved having a room kind of out of the way. We were on the ground floor, at the end of a hallway, with no neighbors. It was wonderful!

Nothing the facility could fix, but the person/people above us were really loud. It sounded like they were dropping heavy objects on the floor. This lasted until way into the night.

I travel from Florida because my son is in college in Coos Bay & I have tried other hotel & I promised myself I would only stay at Edgewater Inn.I like the comfort, the cleanliness,they provide you with all the necessaries you need, to me it's perfect

I don't like what they offer for breakfast it seems cheap.I think they should offer more varieties like bagels,cereal,pancakes etc.

The location of the hotel is wonderful.

This is the first time (we’ve stayed at this hotel a few times) that our room had not been thoroughly cleaned. The in room coffee maker had coffee grounds left in it, there was a hairclip on the floor and a cigarette butt on the patio (where it says no smoking). Not a super big deal, but if it was the first time we stayed there, it would have left a bad feeling.

I stayed here while waiting for escrow to go through on a property I was waiting to move into. The staff at the Edgewater Inn made a stressful time of my life, being literally homeless, prior to coming to Coos Bay, I had been living in a tent in the forest, long story... But they made me feel right at home with my two dogs as we waited for our forever home.

There was nothing I didn't like. Only maybe that I had to leave. 😂
