We loved our stay. The hotel and building was quaint and charming. Lucia and the staff were so accommodating and friendly and go out of their way for whatever you need. The location is great, just a block or two from all the main sites. We always felt safe and enjoyed being able to pop into our room whenever we needed a break from touring. Breakfast, along with Lucia's explanations of juices and Ecuadorian traditions, was fabulous. We were very satisfied with our stay at Casa Hotel Las Plazas and would stay again if we ever go back. Our room was comfy, with a good bed and nice furnishings. The staff was fabulous, without exception -- they set up transportation from the airport, served amazing breakfasts and kept the room spotless. Their location is superb, in the Old Town area a couple of blocks from the plazas, churches and restaurants that are in everyone's guidebook. In addition to tasty eggs and rolls, our host for breakfast gave us fruits and juices from Ecuador which were completely new to us and she explained how and where they were grown. You got an education in addition to a good meal. The hotel is family owned and operated and they do a superb job.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was unbelievable! Thank you Luis, Jonathan, and Louisa for everything you did to make our visit to Quito delightful. You are all such caring people! Daniel, the English speaking driver/guide you hired for us was so knowledgeable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Hotel Las Plazas.

There was nothing not to like. When the staff are amazing, the hotel is spotless, the breakfast is plentiful & delicious, and the water is hot, then it's PERFECT!!

In the historic old town section of Quito, the entire hotel is a beautiful, renovated hacienda style courtyard building built around 1846, and that used to be a single family residence...it' boasts tenants such as the Vice President of Ecuador many years ago. It is family run and they are on-site. A super sweet and kind family. We were in Quito during the 2022 indigneous protests that shut the city down and they helped us figure out what we could do in the city and what we couldn't. They arranged all our transportation in the middle of this crisis. They were calm and realistic, and funny too, about what was happening outside the doors of the hotel. And here's the kicker...The mom, Luisa, makes the included breakfast everyday, and it is multi-course and delicious... with fresh made juice highlighted by a specific Ecuadorian fruit or vegetable that Luisa tells you about as she serves it. And she is in traditional dress...lovely.

Lucia was kind enough to walk us through it’s origins and its beautiful restoration to present day. *Outstanding breakfast, great location, and super clean. *The staff delivered 5 star service! This charming boutique hotel is operated by a very warm and welcoming family who communicated in English as well as Spanish. All staff and family members were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel is well located, in the heart of the old town.

We loved the delicious breakfast and the explanation of the food being served. This hotel had such charm and character, and the staff was so friendly, helpful, and caring. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Old Town Quito!

Great location. Beautiful historic building. Nicely done rooms. Welcoming and attentive staff. Breakfast was great.

Breakfast hours started at 7 am. We were only able to sit down for breakfast one morning because of earlier departure on the other mornings because of tours or when we were flying out, which was a real shame since it was nicely presented.

Fantastic location in a historic building within walking distance to all of the historic district. Secure building with good attention to security. Very friendly and helpful staff with a great breakfast. Highly recommend. They will do anything possible to make your stay enjoyable.

The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was amazing! Luis organized transportation for us from the airport which worked perfectly and the hotel was waiting outside with umbrellas as we arrived because of a light drizzle. Breakfast was great and clearly the staff was so welcoming and told us about the local fruits we were eating. The location is very central to the sites of old town and restaurants. I would highly recommend!
