Very cosy hotel in a convenient location next to the Independence Square. Its beautiful yard offers nice views to the Virgen del Panecillo and the room had a comfortable bed, and handy furniture and storage space. The staff was really friendly and flexible, they carefully listened to all my requests. Breakfast was tasty.

water temperature in the shower was sometimes unpredictable

This is a fab friendly exceptionally clean Hostel. Beautifully presented in an old colonial house. Breakfast is great. My room delightful and the bed really comfortable!

The area is close to amenities but there is nothing in the actual long street except one (very good) little restaurant. No shops or cafés nearby. The shower never got hot. Water cold (they are going to look into it). If it hadn't been for that it would have been 10/10

Location is nice to Historic Center, but its not the best of areas, especially at night! Its very Ghetto.

The Hotel was fine, just be in a better area. I did not feel unsafe, but just be aware, Everything closes very early in this area.

Located very close (2min walk) to Quito Old Town where the famous Churches, cafes, restaurants, shops are. Staff was helpful and friendly. I arrived before 9am (after an overnight flight from Santiago) and was provided with a room to rest for a few hours before transfer to my room. I truly appreciated this service. What I also appreciated was the (free) loan of umbrellas for guests. It rained almost everyday I was there; typical Quito weather. Breakfast was superb with some variations (unlike other hostels which offer the same menu everyday). The room was clean and with adequate supplies of soap and shampoo. The rooftop is great for views and some peace & quiet. * For those who wish to join day tours, make sure you ask in advance, what is included in the price and what is not included (to prevent unpleasant surprises).

The hotel is located in a very convenient location, only minutes away from the main attractions in the old town. It is very tastefully decorated and the rooms are a decent size. Water was hot which was delightful as it gets cold at night. The hotel serves breakfast which was both convenient and tasty! And finally the staff are all very pleasant to deal with and helpful in providing tips and advice. Great value for money in the middle of Old Town!

Our bathroom was humid all day long (that’s the climate though) - we do appreciate the hotel changing our towels and floor mat daily because otherwise I don’t think anything would have dried. Our bed/mattress was old so there were spots where it sagged. Not a massive deal as we still slept well but gives you a bit of a sore back.

Amazing location in the historic centre. Staff was friendly & helpful, even made me a cup of tea & a snack when I arrived late the first night. Bed had warm, cozy blankets & the room was cleaned and fresh towels replenished everyday! Lots of cute patio spots to enjoy & get some work done while sitting outside! Breakfast was simple & yummy. Hot water in the shower worked most of the time. I was a little cold- a mini heater in the room would have been amazing! A few dollars cheaper to get a taxi right from the airport instead of using their transfer service!

Beautiful, affordable hotel with wonderful staff and FANTASTIC food. They offer a lunch special that is absolutely delicious and only costs around $3. Staff were warm and helpful. Free breakfast as well. The room was clean.

There was only one working electrical outlet in the room, which can make it hard for travelers who need to charge computers, phones etc.

The location, reception , room and building in general were fantastic. The desk staff helped with transportation, and flexability to get breakfast. The old colonial elements to the building really made a huge difference to me as I love old historic buildings and this one fit the bill.

HEAT. Had only one luke warm short shower which turned to frigid. The rest were frigid. There also was no heating and that made a difference which cool nights this time of the year although this was less of an issue being in Equador.

The location is excellent right in the heart of the Old Town under the gaze of the Winged Virgin Mary. The tradional family run (assisted by some other great staff) hostel has a courtyard layout once through the front door, all prettily & freshly decorated with nice furniture & many pretty pot plants. Hostel offers a private vehicle for airport transfers & local tours & can assist with tours wider afield with prices displayed. The rooms are comfortable, clean & well appointed there are various sizes of rooms all unique with different layouts although common decoration & furnishings tie the hostel together. Reliable hot showers with cold water at the sink, there is a room safe & sturdy room furniture. Beds are comfortable with plenty of clean bedding. The WiFi is great with streaming channels at the room TV. The hostel is safe with staff granting access through the door gate whenever acces or exit is required staff on site 24/7. The staff are all polite, attentive & professional the overall feeling is relaxed & informal but behind the scenes it is obviously professionally & well run.

The staff were very friendly, professional & helpful. Raulito gave me good advice about day trips with Quito Bus Tours & made bookings for me. The room was cosy & the view from the patio is spectacular. It is only a few blocks to the main Plaza.

As a woman travelling alone, I couldn't go out at night because the streets in the old town aren't safe after dark. That was a restriction.
