We have stayed at the Barcelo Marbella before and this stay did not disappoint. We love the location, being within walking distance to San Pedro. The bedrooms are well appointed and good size. Breakfast is more than adequate. Spotlessly clean throughout. Reception staff are welcoming and courteous. Great gym. Pool area excellent and plenty of beds and shaded areas. Will definitely stay here again.

There was a 'whistling' noise when the shower was on. The wardrobe doors banged loudly when closing (need some sort of cushioning pads on them) We had an adjoining door to our room and when there were guests staying next door, we could hear everything! Opening times of the gym could do with being earlier, at the moment the gym opens at 10am.

Its a vey fine hotel, our room was very good with a view over the pool, quite large with a terrace and good Wifi. The breakfast was very good, great choices and the buffet in the evening was very good also.

Calling the hotel Barceló "Marbella" is just is taking way too much Poetic Licence, it is 25 minutes drive from Plaza de los Naranjos // The Old Town, of cource it is in the Municipality of Marbella so you need to be aware of the hotels location.

The room was spacious and very functional with good air conditioning The breakfast buffet was generous and covered all requirements The bed was a good size and extremely comfortable

Having arrived late not having had a chance to eat, I was disappointed that the kitchen couldn't provide a light meal, when I visited the restaurant at 10.30pm. I would have expected that it should be possible to obtain a snack.

We enjoyed the stay at our hotel, very nice and spacious room, nice area of the hotel, reasonable price comparing to other hotels in Marbella, good choices of food for breakfast, nice gym and swimming pool area.

The very big issue is that there is only one person making the eggs of your choice for the hotel guests (approx. 100 guests or more each breakfast) and you have to wait in queue for long time to get your eggs done. Also the staff is not speaking English or very bad English.

While we very much enjoyed our stay, at the weekend, when the hotel was much busier the standard of the breakfast went down considerably. Some food wasn’t properly cooked, a lot ran out and wasn’t replaced (until I asked) even though there was still half an hour or more left of the restaurant breakfast time being open. even basic things like bread and margarine ran out! Also there was nothing happening in the hotel in the evenings. It would have been nice to have something, even just a bar with a little bit of life but it was very quiet.

dinner time way too expensive for mediocre food. the pool was only open between 11 and 5 which meant that we never had chance to enjoy the pool because we had trips planned. this was very disappointing. Also we had to pay to park the car in the hotel which we didn't think was fair

Firstly, pool only opens 11am-6pm which is ridiculous in this heat, especially with children. We got the kids out at 6pm sharp but then saw people in the pool later on! They were NOT as punctual when opening the pool funnily enough. Secondly, park and kids’ club was closed and there was no jumping castle so facilities for children were very poor. Booking.com should have made this clear. Bar/restaurant didnt open until 11am either, which was also inconvenient if you didnt want the (average) buffet breakfast (which was not included by the way). Two female waitresses at the restaurant were super rude as well, which was extremely off-putting. Parking was also very expensive, considering the amount you pay to stay. i would never stay again.

The room is huge with a big and comfortable bed. The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub. The breakfast was more than expected and really good. They even offered freshly squeezed orange juice.

It was very noisy. We woke up from our neighbor snoring and people coming back from partying. The dinner had a big variety but the quality of the food wasn’t really good.

Rooms with lounge access on the 4th floor were lovely. Very spacious. Pool area was very clean and the breakfast and pool side lunch bar food was very nice. The staff were great, particularly reception. The hotel was very clean.

The pool didn't open until 11.30am and you couldn't get towels for the beds for a further 20 mins after that!. The bar didn't open until midday! Often the lounge on the 4th floor didn't have food and/or had run out of water. The location wasn't very good, we had to get taxi's everywhere.

We liked staff, location and room mostly, but there were other things we liked.

Some loud foreign guests knocking on doors during night and another foreign teens turning fire alarm at 6:00AM and having to evacuate the hotel with the kids.
