We stayed at the Ibis,initially for 3 days but this became 4 due to storm Ciaran. the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful with the unexpected extension. The room was immaculate and well serviced. The breakfast buffet was great value and very well stocked and attended to. the car park is secure and easy to get to. The hotel is right on the quayside of a busy and lively fishing port. If you understand this, then the room with a balcony is the one to get,so you can watch the fishermen at work while you have a glass of cidre!

The lifts to the rooms and to the rear car park are quite small and can get busy. However, the stairs provide easy access as long as you don't have heavy luggage.

IBIS Port en Bessin for us meets every requirement excellently. It's location is charming and convenient. Breakfast and the the bar are open at hours not offered by so many hotels proporting to be luxury. The rooms are always clean and well prepared with modern efficient shower facilities. But at this property it is particularly the welcoming and helpful attitude of the staff, lead significantly by it's Manager that puts IBIS PEB way ahead of the more expensive hotels in the whole Bayeux area.

For us there is nothing not to like ...we will continue to return..

The room had a wonderful view right out onto the boating canal and we had a table and chairs on the balcony. Breakfast was exceptional. And never were we rushed. The car park at the back of the property was very convenient, reached by elevator, which was especially nice for me as I walk with a cane. We were a short distance to the town. We drove to the handicapped parking near the port and walked. Many restaurants and shops and we enjoyed the weekly market. Shopkeepers were very friendly. Our French was limited, but everyone was very accommodating.

Hard pressed to find something I didn't like about the property.

This is a busy hotel but in a quiet location on the harbour side. Port-en-Bessin is a really interesting place to stop as it is a working fishing port. We enjoy watching the comings and goings from the balcony in the room! The hotel is on the opposite side of the harbour to the town but it is a pleasant and easy walk to the restaurants and shops. We have stayed here a few times before and find it an excellent base for exploring the Normandy sights.

The breakfast selection is very comprehensive but it gets really busy at popular times. Best to go early if you can!

Great location for Bessin. Easy parking. Good selection of restaurants and coastal walks virtually on the doorstep. Also memorial to 47th Marine Commandos who took Port-au-Bessin near the end of the second world war at great loss to themselves.

The bed had a plasticised mattress topper so that even with air conditioning, it was sweaty in bed. We had no soap in our shower and, while I asked for some when we went out in the evening, it was not delivered so I had to tell the staff again when I left.

I had a problem with my motorbike and the young lady at reception was fantastic! She was very helpful in resolving the issues regarding it. I’m very grateful. Thank you very very much 👏👌😇

There was no Tomato sauce to accompany my bacon and eggs with my breakfast. Some sliced bread would have been nice for my toast (Not Brioche) Not right with a breakfast to my taste having sugary toast

We had a great time in this area. The staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful! I would for sure come again! I also enjoyed the morning breakfast. Fresh and tasty. The only issue we had was that the beds were not comfortable ( we asked for additional comforters to add cushion on the bed.)The bathroom did not smell good. Not sure if it’s the pipes but even after the young lady cleaned the room the bathroom just smelled bad. But even still I would return and hope for a room with better beds and bathroom that had no smell.

See above. Perhaps new mattresses and get the pipes fixed.

Hotel location was perfect for our needs. Exceptionally clean, nice bedroom and an excellent breakfast. 9 out 10.

But. advertising having a bar was a bit much no beer on draught till 4 days later, running out of bottled beer after 6 bottles and not serving Cognac for a French hotel was a bit much. But still a good spot for touring.

Good choice. Very tasty breads and good coffee from the self service machine.

Having back problems I found the chairs somewhat hard to move. Smokers standing outside the door a little off putting.

My ferry was delayed and we only arrived at the hotel at 12,30am, but the hotel wrote to say it wouldn’t be a problem. Great lively lobby with friendly staff, seating and bar. Good view of the harbour and a short walk to the shops, restaurants and sea.

The hotel was hot. Really warm! We had a great view of a working fishing harbour but that meant it was noisy if you left your balcony door open.
