Location was very convenient, close to the M6 but with plenty of nice scenery and fields surrounding the property. From previous visits, I know the hotel is dog friendly. The staff were excellent, with a friendly, helpful attitude. We were given complimentary drinks on arrival. The air conditioning was not working in our room and we raised the issue with reception. The response was fantastic with a view to resolving the issue. As it could not be fixed we were given a new room and upgraded.

The restaurant menu is a little limited and not as good as it was on our previous visit.

I liked the refurbished room Was clean fresh and modern I liked the ample safe parking Really good to know my dog is always made to feel welcome in the hotel and the outside garden area makes it a nice place to stay The room I had was peaceful and quiet The extra touches in this room was lovely - coffee maker and fridge Although I did’nt use anything was nice to have the option The booking staff and reception staff are always friendly and welcoming

My room was great but a bit cramped with a corner sofa and cushions that looked nice but I don’t need this and just found the room is small enough without this sofa that took up a lot of space and sort of got in my way The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable - Only one small window could be opened and not much opening space allowed I prefer a room with more windows that open as it was a bit stuffy in the room I brought my own electric fan to make the sleep a bit more comfortable Having said all that I managed to have a great nights sleep - it was lovely and quiet with a nice green grassy outlook

The hotel and room were very clean, the bed was so comfortable we all slept well, the staff were friendly and welcoming, there was enough space to park and the room was a decent size and cool considering it was really hot outside, it was nice to already have a iron n board in the room and some biscuits with the tea and coffee, breakfast aside I would stay again and would recommend

Breakfast was varied, lots to chose from it tasted good but it wasn't very hot but was edible unfortunately my husband and i ended up with a bad stomach by the time we arrived home, the coffee from the machine was nice though and my daughter enjoyed the pancakes and croissants, luckily she chose that instead of a cooked breakfast and was fine

Surprisingly nice room, great breakfast and more facilities than I was expecting. My room was very clean and staff were excellent.

Very few hotel staff around when there were two fire alarms (one in the early hours of the morning) and very little communication - apart from a letter the next morn. Wouldn't like to think what would have happened if there's been a real fire. I rated the score so high based on the price I paid - if I'd paid more, things like gym facilities being broken etc. would have had more impact on my score.

Room fairly spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a really good offering especially as it was included in with the price of the room. I absolutely loved the coffee selection m/c at breakfast. You didn't have that the last time I stayed. It was great to be able to have my usual cappuccino in the morning. I so hated the previous coffee offering. That in itself made me feel happy for the rest of the day!! The shower was excellent with easy controls that were within easy reach away from the water inlet. You didn't get burnt or freezing trying to regulate the temperature.

The TV was awful, truly. The stations were all over the place, the ones you could get, and there were no instructions on how to operate. Being a coffee only lover I was surprised to find an actual coffee m/c in the room but that was a definite no no. For one, the lever on the top was so hard to pull down once the coffee pod was in place you felt you were going to break the m/c. You couldn't see the instructions properly which were on the actual m/c. Eventually we managed to get a 1/4 cup but not enough milk supply and it tasted like mud. Not at all suitable for the room and I would say a health & safety issue. Did actually get hot water spouting up the wall at one point!

2nd time staying here. Nice room with comfortable bed and clean bedding. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Restaurant is good although prices a bit high for what you get. Location is perfect for feeling like you are in the countryside with lots of fields for walking dogs, but it's still close enough to the main roads to get easily to the NEC etc. Lovely Indian restaurant and fish and chip shop just a couple of minutes along the road. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Around the side of the hotel was very messy this time with broken and missing tiles at the doorways, lots of litter, pallets etc lying around. Although not the hotels fault but that of some irresponsible guests, there were lots of dog poos across the grass areas and several poo filled bags left outside one of the doors, yet there were bins just across from there! It's such things like this that cause hotels to stop allowing dogs to stay. After the first day I returned to my room to find my cup to be dirty as well as the teaspoon, yet I always clean these after use, so unsure how they became used/dirty!

The breakfast good, i loved the fact the children could make their own pancakes. The had a kids corner where we played connect 4 and Uno.The dinner was excellent complents to the chief for Singapore noodles and rack of ribs. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room was lovely and very clean. Staff was lovely and so helpful. A special thank to Leah for giving our 4 year old little jobs, he really enjoyed it. He keeps asking when are we going back.

I didn't find the beds that comfortable and my two boys found the sofa bed uncomfortable they complained about feeling the springs.

Staff were really, really good! Special mention to Rebecca on check in who checked us in really efficiently and was super friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and she was always happy to talk and also gave our dog a little goodie bag. Also a mention for Christine on check out who was also super friendly. All the bar staff and cleaning team were also really good!

The standard rooms do look a little shabby now. The hotel is in the process of being updated so I'm sure the new rooms will be great!

The staff were very warm and welcoming. Right from check-inn through to the presence of the manager at breakfast and check-out. The breakfast was of good quality and with lots of options. Remember to check in your car registration yourself. We did it via the reception and were sent a parking notice. But this was sorted with just a simple phone call to the hotel. Very professional service.

The only reason I have given a score of 9 instead of 10 is because the interiors are a bit jaded and very much in need of a make over.

Room was clean and warm. Breakfast was amazing value with all we could eat.

I was fined by a 3rd party parking company on my return home by letter. They claimed I was parked illegally in the Hotel carpark but the Room I booked obviously came with a parking space. I called the Hotel and they agreed this was a mistake and then made arrangements to cancel the fine. I worry how many times this happens to visitors and how many customers just pay the £100 fine even though they have done nothing wrong?
