Room and bathroom was very clean. The walk in shower was great. Bed was nice and comfortable. Room was lovely and quiet. Loved the fact that hotel has a restaurant and bar. Guy on reception desk was very welcoming and friendly. Free parking was great.

Restaurant service was slow and we got charged double for a burger. This was rectified but a bit of a pain sorting it out. Would be great if could call from room to order food up and then waiting wouldn't be as much of an issue as could get ready to go out etc while waiting. Room was a bit dark, could do with extra, brighter lamps.

very comfortable bed, in a good size room. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very good, although I did come across a human hair on my plate which was a bit concerning. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention this to the staff at the time. The location for what I needed was fine, although I would suspect it could be quite noisy when there is a football match or there was a need to have the windows open in the summer, as the hotel has the M6 on one side and Walsall FC stadium on the other. Thankfully neither had any impact on my stay and slept very well on the comfortable bed.

The fridge in my room was brilliant because I'm on a special pre op diet. The overall cleanliness on arrival was visually spotless. The staff were nice.

The traffic noise because I was on the side of the hotel next to the road. Could hear the motorway traffic and the road traffic all night. And the cleaner didn't vacuum our room once during a 5 day stay. And under the bed looked like it hadn't been vacced in a good long while. Although everywhere else was lovely and spotless.

Clean, accessible, friendly staff, welcoming feel, good standard of facilities & general appearance. Spoke to hotel with questions before booking, relating to transport & breakfast -as we were staying to attend the commonwealth games, staff very friendly & knowledgeable.

Train strike -so not running, was one of the reasons I chose the hotel -obviously nothing to do with hotel. Also I didn’t realise it was right outside grounds of Walsall football club, who had a match when we attended. Concerned at first but wasn’t an issue & only patrons of hotel allowed in bar area after check in & didn’t affect parking etc.

The room size is not very big, but neatly arranged for our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children, kids enjoyed the stay. More towels were provided and pillows were being provided. The room was closed and well insulated, with glazed windows that soundproofed the traffic outside just by the motorway. Cleanliness and high standards of general aesthetic could be experienced. Tranquil rooms and noise proofing were excellent. Very well maintained throughout. The location is in good reach of all amenities and close to the motorway.

We visited on a very hot day, not sure if the Aircondition unit in our room is not working or switched on. It was hot as we couldn't open the window due to the motorway noise. A fan would have done better, but as the day progressed it was settled to the right temp so not a big letdown. Toilet rolls looked soaked and dried, very hard to use. No hot water running during evening and night. We did not check with reception.

Great location for ease into Birmingham city. Train station behind hotel, 20 minute journey into Birmingham. Frequency of trains great. Free car park onsite very useful. Great breakfast with selection of cold and hot foods (yoghurt, fruit, cereal, cold meats, fruit juice/coffees, hash browns, baked beans, sausages, bacon as well as breads & pastries). Nice sized tidy twin room, with TV. Good bathroom, big shower.

The room was on the motorway side so the noise throughout the day & night was very loud.

staff were very helpful. they really went out of their way on many occasions to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I didn’t manage to get any of the names of the staff but they were all great. enjoyed a few games of pool, nice menu options at dinner time. food was lovely

beds not comfortable. especially the sofa beds I had to share with my son. paid nearly £100 a night. was expecting a little more if I’m honest. price hike was due to commonwealth games in Birmingham. :(

We were unsure about the hotel because of the price but the minute we arrived we were sold on the hotel . Laura was the most friendly and welcoming person we have experienced in years . We regularly stay in 5star hotels and the service and friendly attitude is not on par with what we received here . This is truly the best hotel experience we have had in the last 5 years . Well done to everyone and especially to Laura and the security guy on Friday night . BRILLIANT , SUPERB . EXCELLENT

Arrived at about 11.30pm - in many hotels you would have to ring for the night porter but the door was open and there were two staff on reception. Room was fine for a one night stay - comfortable bed and decent shower. Despite being a stone's throw from the M6, the traffic was only just audible. Excellent breakfast - friendly staff in restaurant.

Car park was full when we arrived, but we found a space near the adjacent football stadium.

The Gent who booked us in was polite, friendly and helpful. The lady that took my early evening meal was very welcoming and polite. The ladies who ran the breakfast in the morning were absolutely brilliant. Super cheerful, extremely friendly, a great sense of humour and had pride in their work which was great to see and be a part of. The room was basic, but it was very clean and was comfortable. No real complaints to give really. We would come back.

No iron in the room.
