Hôtel Cézanne Boutique-Hôtel

The room was comfortable. We booked a Superior room, I understand this is a smaller boutique hotel, so the room is a little smaller that we are use to, but it was clean. The bathroom was small but the shower and sink areas were updated and clean. The hotel common areas are very nice, quaint, clean and cheery. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful, close to the Tourism office (just a five-minute walk) where we had to meet for all our schedule tours. The breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, sausage, sauté vegetables, baked goods, fruit, cheeses, meats, yogurt, nuts, dried fruits., coffee, juices. The yogurt was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

The personnel were professional and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The shower was a little tricky to turn off and there wasn’t much room in the bathroom to set things down. We could also hear other people talking during the night, but that may have been because we were close to the elevator. It was an easy walk to the main shopping/restaurant area, but there wasn’t much right by the hotel.

This hotel felt like a home away from home! The decor and styling is so homey and welcoming! The location is perfect! Just a short 5 minute walk to the town centre. The bed is super soft and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast is absolutely superb and well worth the price tag! So much variety from sweet and savoury, hot and cold! My room was cleaned on a daily basis and the the staff at reception are absolutely wonderful! So kind, attentive and helpful! They were willing to book tours, dinners, taxis, train tickets and help me get to and from places. Really lovely experience!

There is no mini fridge but luckily there was a kettle. The room is not soundproof and you can hear everyone and everything! But all minor things that didn’t bother me that much. Just something to be aware of :)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were pleased to receive an upgrade from the classic to deluxe. The room was pleasantly decorated, provided with clean and well maintained facilities and overlooked the courtyard. The bed was extremely comfortable. Location was a short walk away from the old town centre and the central railway station. It should be noted that the Aix en Provence TGV rail station is much further west but there is a frequent bus shuttle service which also serves Marseille/Provence Airport.

Great location near the historic part of town. It is near the small train station but unlike other cities, the area is clean and no vagrants near the station, plus it’s far enough that we never heard a train, even wondered if it’s used. We walked home from the concert theater 10 minutes away at night and felt safe, the Grand Theater Aix-en-P. The rooms we had were both spotless and attractive. Staff are helpful and very pleasant.

This really isn’t a negative but there is no parking directly at the hotel. We parked in the lot 2 minutes away at the train station, easy walk, ground level, right next to the street. Clean. Safe.

Whatever the manager of this hotel is paying the front-desk staff, it isn't nearly enough!.....They went way beyond the call of duty to assist me in my attempt to find a wash and fold laundry service on the busy 14th of July week. One of the women on the desk - I believe her name was Camille (possibly Camilla?....fair complexion, light-brown curly hair, early 20s) - and another kind woman whom I dealt with upon my arrival, whose name I never caught (dark blonde hair, early-mid 20s, spoke excellent English), worked tirelessly telephoning every laundrette in Aix-en-Provence on my behalf. Ultimately, they were unsuccessful, but I'll never forget how much effort they put into trying to assist me during what is normally a hectic week for travelling in France. I'm sure they had a myriad of other duties and chores to attend to, but they seemed to drop everything just to focus on my problem. This is a very nice hotel in one of France's most beautiful cities. It's also only steps away from the rail station, which couldn't be handier. I hope to return to this magnificent city sometime in the next year or so, and I will always stay at this hotel, so long as staff such as Camille and the other nameless woman are working the front desk......Oh, and the the breakfast was first rate too!

Nothing I can think of.....Everything was first rate!

Tastefully furnished rooms with the softest beds and an amazing location just a very short walk to the centre of town. Service was fantastic, and the staff were so kind and patient when checking on my aged father who accidentally set off the fire alarm during our stay. Toiletries were amazing and I loved that the hotel came with slippers. I loved my stay and cannot recommend the hotel enough!

Service was above and beyond what we expected from a boutique hotel. Diana at the front desk was so helpful with all of my questions, our driver Matthieu was accommodating and delivered a brilliant tour of the Luberon and Marseille with lots of gems along the way. Staff has been exceptional and the rooms are all very comfy. Location was also super convenient and close to the city center and public transportation . Highly recommend anyone considering visiting Aix to book their stay here.

The location could not be better for us as the train station was right across the street. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and the staff were extremely friendly. The buffet breakfast was more than you get at most hotels and everything was fresh and tasty. Front desk staff and breakfast room staff were exceptional. We will definitely rebook the next time we visit Aix en Provence.

No complaints whatsoever!!!!!!

There was a lovely lounge area where my husband and I met other visiting family members and catch up after many years. The breakfast room and buffet was beautiful and excellent quality food. Also an adjoining room with tables and chairs where we could eat our take-out sushi from next door on our last night. Easy walk up Viktor Hugo to the centre. Just lovely! Great staff!

The lighting in the room was a bit on the dark side. Otherwise all else was very nice. Open shelves and rack for hanging clothes is a good idea and convenient. Also the tv worked well with good selection of international news. Large shower, nice!
