This is a lovely, cool, period hotel with marble staircase, a piano in the lobby and historical and theatrical frames throughout. Philippe at the reception couldn't do enough for us - he was everything you want in the front-of-the-house team. Reception also had free drinks (with ice machine - much appreciated when it's 38°c!) and a little library (in French). I enjoyed a BD on the history of Avignon whilst sipping a local lemon sirop. Breakfast was a buffet - à volonté - with something for everyone and more than enough to last the day. The location was excellent - 2 minutes from the main high streetand Old Town. Plus we had a parking space for our stay inside the hotel grounds so no nasty parking fees. Do check on the day though as places are limited - the nearer to check-out time (11.30am) you arrive, the better. Our room (the family room) had a balcony too and was next to a first floor rooftop garden which looked across to a medieval religious building.

One light wasn't working and we had difficulty with the flush - a maintenace issue - but it didn't spoil our stay.

Location is amazing, inside the walls within short walking distance to the old town and Palais du Papes. The staff were incredibely nice and helpful. There was parking available on the street - free at night and for a small fee during the day (payable by the hours). The room is basic but clean and spacious.

all was good, but you should expect a basic hotel, nothing luxurious

Easy walk to main attractions and to the railway station. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. Hotel was staffed 24 hours a day so easy access at all times. Plenty of dairy free options at breakfast for guest with a cow’s milk allergy. Room was spacious enough for our needs.

Very happy with everything provided at this hotel. It met our needs and expectations.

Location was excellent, just inside the city limits. Accommodation was fine. Adequate for two nights stay. Room clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast was acceptable but a little expensive. Parking was available at rear entrance but payable. On street parking is available but more expensive. Small area by reception with free coffee and tea facility was nice. Staff very good. Enjoyed our stay.

Nothing. Good value.

Location was in a quiet street but close to the centre of Avignon. Railway and bus station were just a few minutes walk away. Relaxed breakfast times. Staff were very friendly and there was always someone on the front desk. We were given a map of the city upon arrival.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Acceptable hotel that we used for bed and breakfast on a short stop in the city. We chose it because it has a charging spot for EV in the parking. They said they had 2, one generic electric cars and one only for Teslas. I didn't see the generic one, but the Tesla one worked great. Instead of 10 EUR for the parking, you pay 15 EUR and that includes charging it for all night. It was not possible to reserve the spot, so I guess we were lucky; I am not sure if I would risk it again. The parking is in an enclosed place behind the hotel (private for the hotel) but it is outdoors (i.e. no roof) We paid 11 EUR per person for breakfast. It was a good breakfast.

The elevator only goes to the parking if someone at the reception authorizes it (which makes it not that friendly to go pick things up from the car if you forgot something).

The location, the breakfast, the secure parking place and of course the people at the reception and breakfast !! A hotel near to the most interesting things someone would like to visit or see at Avignon !

The building has almost a one century life !! Since 1929 !!! So, we can say it's a historic building, that is located inside the area of the castle, that surrounds the city. Of course, it's renovated, but some changes have to be done in order to be more comfort and more pleasant....

This family operated hotel is a true gem in Avignon. It is run by a group of genuine, kind human beings who made my stay exceed any expectations. You will also absolutely love their sizable terrace with numerous tables and chairs as well as deck chairs, and with a view to die for: cypress trees, a tiny church and a bit of a calm panorama where some star gazing in the evening can be enjoyed too. The level of comfort, the thoughtful decorative touches (done on a budget but very creatively) and the quality of services offered by this amazing family was outstanding, at least to me, including the food, the begddings, little extras like a very affordable self-service mini bar at the reception desk. The members of staff are joy to deal with as well: from an African lady who helps with the rooms, two lovely 50+ locals where one of them helps in the kitchen (F) and the other one does the night shift (M) and a young gentleman who is a recent Afgan refugee and takes care of the reception in the afternoon. Bravo!

The hotel is located on a lovely tree lined street within the city walls. It is a short walk to the Palais des Papes. The breakfast was very good. There is a lovely terrasse on the first floor. The room was spacious with a good bathroom. There is parking, subject to availability, in a secure garage for €10 a day.
