We had a wonderful stay at the Garland Hotel & we’re very well looked after. The bed was comfortable, room had all we needed , breakfast was delicious with a great selection of home made cakes, pastries, jams, yoghurt & fruits. We also had great advice on restaurants to suit our needs, sightseeing attractions & also places to shop to suit our needs. We could not recommend highly enough !! Loved our stay & thank you to Emmanuel especially.

Location was perfect with the city centre on the doorstep. Room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious with much of it homemade. Nothing was too much trouble for the host who even waited past his finishing time to make sure my taxi arrived

The city centre is mostly inaccessible to cars so in future, to get to and from the airport, I would use a taxi company who are able to enter the city. I used 'Oui Driver' and he dropped me as far as he could go then I had to walk the rest of the way. Avignon is like a maze and unfortunately I got lost so had quite a long walk to the hotel in the end. Also Oui Driver was €35 and the taxi I took back to the airport was €25

The hotel and room is really located centrally and still very quiet. The breakfast is excellent as products are sourced locally and there is no packaging. Everything tasted very good. Everything is perfectly organized and the person at the reception is extremely helpful !

We would have preferred more transparent glass panes instead of frosted, but since you can open the windows this is not a major problem. The top panes are transparent, so everything is almost fine.

We loved everything about this hotel. The owners are exceptionally friendly, helpful and make you immediately feel at home. The room was perfect, very clean, very comfy bed and had everything you need. The room and indeed the whole hotel’s decor is full of character and charm. Having given us a great recommendation for a restaurant they followed up with a lovely breakfast the next morning, with many local delights. Perfect location in the heart of a wonderful city, a truly fantastic French hotel experience and definitely not a faceless chain.

I stayed in the largest room 12 they have. The room has been recently remodeled, with a center console in the middle of the room to make it appear as two separate rooms. this is a very bad design as it wastes space. there is no need for two TVs in such a small space, the one facing sofa is simply too close to watch. better to have provided only one TV and used a design with sofa on the side.

Unfortunately although this is a three star hotel planning permission has NOT been granted for the installation of a lift. Consequently access to our lovely room was by forty three steps of a spiral stair case. Not an easy climb!

We loved the hotel. Small and with personal service. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. (We arrived by bicycle and they had very secure storage for our bikes during our 2-night stay.) The breakfast was much better than typical, with very fresh baked goods, and many in-house preparations. The rooms were comfy and quiet even though the hotel is located in the old city (often equivalent to the tourist/party section of a town, but not here). The location couldn't have been more convenient to the heart of the old city or its many attractions.

I almost hate to mention this, but as someone who is an "almost" sleepwalker when I get up at night to use the bathroom, I have to mention it: Our room had a *huge* step-down from the room into the bathroom. Probably 2-3 inches higher than even a normal step's height. Yes, there was a warning sign on the door, but that high step could literally kill someone in the dark. The funny thing is that our pervious night's hotel *also* had a weird step-down into the bathroom. Is France trying to tell me something.... :-)

The hotel manager was exceptionally friendly and informative to areas to see and places to eat. We could not get to all of these but appreciated her outgoing nature. She was kind to personally show us our room and how things worked. The stairway was pretty but could be issue for some people due to how steep and circular. Did not see an elevator

Parking in the city in general is very challenging inside the walls of the community. Nearby parking was available but unsure if overnight parking available where we moved our car, We found on street parking that was OK for night

The location is ideal for immersion in Avignon life. Short walks to all the nice restaurants and special historical sites. Stephan was AMAZING!!! He was friendly, jovial, and very helpful. The room was really well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer. Garland Hotel Avignon is highly recommended by us.

Great location ,although could be a bit noisy with rooms on the street . Host Stephane exceptional and lots of help with directions and things to do. It is an older building so small bathroom but very clean. I could hear the people in the adjoining room as we had a shared wall. There is no elevator and a small staircase so big suitcases are a problem. I used a carryon and it was fine

As often happens in older buildings no plug in the bathroom and blow dryer cord didn’t reach to the outside mirror. There was a work around though with a makeup mirror. Very small shower
