Nice room in a great quiet location and central for all the shops, sights, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing and a complete surprise. The breakfast proved a very sociable place and easy to talk to fellow guests.

On arrival the fridge was not working and the safe deposit box (an important room facility for me) was locked. Although upset that the room was not perfect when I arrived - the owner Norbert - came round that afternoon and fixed everything. You can always judge a place by how the owner reacts when things are not right so well done Norbert.

It was fun to stay in an old building, exquisitely remodeled, within the old city. We had no problems with the stairs, even though we are both in our seventies, and I broke my kneecap 4 months ago. It helps to be active and travel light. This place is delightful, and within walking distance to wonderful restaurants.

Nothing related to the stay, although the overnight parking lot near by would not accept our U.S. credit card. We solved that by paying the car behind us cash to use their credit card.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The room had enough space and it was very comfortable with a park outside the window. It is not often that I get the experience of staying in a traditional building, so it was a wonderful time.

If I need to say something, in case you plan to have a meal in the room, please note that while there is a microwave available, there is no cutlery. You will need to bring your own cutlery to use.

The location of the hotel was great - very calm, central, next to the city parking (although difficult to find spaces). We got two rooms apartment instead of one, probably due to availability since we booked last minute. Nice, simple continental breakfast with fresh delicious bread. Everything was working well

The cleanliness of the place could be improved.

Brilliant central location in historic building renovated by the owners. Bayonne is a wonderful pedestrian and bike friendly town with everything you need. Room is spacious with a microwave and coffee machine and ours had a view over a park and the ramparts. Breakfast was fresh with bread and fruit, home made yoghurt, cake and jams.

Long life milk portions would have been great. The toilet needs a ventilator, and the automatic lights can be annoying.

Very good breakfast, good location, somehow difficult access, mainly if carrying luggage. Parking outside is ok, but inside is a bit messy to get in.

There were some guests in our room when we arrived. They had already unpacked and taken on to the beds, so it was not a possibility for us to come in and take that room. The sistem of check in with no human around allows for these kind of unconfortable issues.

Room was really spacious and clean. Breakfast was really good too, just missed the croissants. The location was amazing and close to the main street, where there are some nice restaurants and bars that you can go to.

The only thing that was unfortunate was the fact that all the lights were motion sensitive, which meant that when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night the light in the hallway and bathroom went on. However, I would really say that this is a minor detail!

We visited Bayonne on our way to Spain, so we only stayed one night. The location of the apartment was very good, we could drop our luggage off and park around the corner (we paid 0,50 € for the night). It was a very short walk into town. We were given a code by the host to retrieve the key from a key box so check in was very easy. The apartment was light, there was a coffee/ tea making facility and a fridge, but no real kitchen, however there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The bed was comfortable, there was a good shower. It was very quiet at night, and we didn’t hear the neighbors. Breakfast was served the next morning in the room. Communication with the host was done via e-mail and was very clear.

Please note that there are 3 flights of stairs to get to the apartment(about 50 steps total) there is no elevator as it’s an historic building. 2 of the 4 pancakes that we got as part of the breakfast were burned and not eatable. A guide regarding the apartment and the town would have been nice; there was a washing machine but no instructions how to use it or washing powder if we had wanted to use it...

We met the host on the street before our check-in time and he kindly offered to store our bags. He also gave us a map and recommended where to eat (at a discount with free aperitif).

We had to leave for an early train so missed out on the breakfast... and didn't say goodbye. So goodbye and thanks Norbert

The location was so close to the train station and the host were super responsive to help and make sure our stay was perfect!!

Maybe a wine opener added to the silverware drawer but really nothing great stay !!
