The hosts/staff that manage the property were super helpful (especially Martin) and always very responsive when we wanted anything. Very comfortable bed and great shower. The location is also very central: tram stop is 5 minutes walk away, the Capucin market 10 minutes walk and you're opposite a great restaurant, La Tupina (recommend pre-booking a table at this popular restaurant)

The instructions for the apartment were not available via the QR code provided in the flat. This needs to be checked and resolved. It would also be useful to have a printed set of instructions as a back up.

Just a great spot. Tucked away in one of the oldest parts of Bordeaux. I had to travel there from airport by taxi because of plane delays and a midnight arrival but it is on the tram route with the centre of town all walkable! This Maison has been lovingly restored and furnished. Big spacious room with large shower room and toilet. The red suite overlook La Tupina which has to be experienced! Martin kept in touch with me during my flight delays and ensured that I had access for my post midnight arrival! Although I only met one member of staff when I had breakfast delivered to my room, I felt well supported. I am definitely staying here on my next trip. Such great value!

My late arrival did mean that I had to ferret around a bit in the dark with iPhone torch to access door entry codes and key box. Hot water could have been hotter on day one!

Excellent place to stay in the historical part of Bordeaux. It’s walking distance from all major sites so you don’t have to worry about travelling. There are varied restaurants and eateries for all price ranges close by. The green suite was lovely. Most importantly the host answered any questions and queries so quickly that we felt at ease immediately..

You should note if you have a disability, climbing up to the floors with heavy suitcases may prove to be a problem as we didn’t see a lift. If you are in the green suite note that if you’re tall like my husband, 6 foot plus the room ceiling has low slopes and you will have to keep bending as the door height is low . Saying that, we would still go back to the same room as it was great.

What a great quirky place! Very clean which is at the top of our list. Across from a great restaurant. About a 15 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Bordeaux, so we certainly got our steps in! Spacious room and bathroom. Air con, which was a bonus as we visited during a late summer heatwave we weren't expecting! Would recommend to anyone looking for something a little different. Situated across from the famous La Tupina! Hey- we also discovered Rick Stein stayed here on his French jaunt and ate at La Tupina...

Stayed in the Pink Room on the ground floor. Very nice, loved the mural on the back wall and the collection of pigs too ! Bed very comfortable, got a good nights sleep. It was great being across the alley from La Tupina, where we checked in. It smelt so delicious we booked dinner there too, which was fab, would highly recommend.

Couldn’t get the wireless code. You need to scan a QR code on the wall to get the room guide but the QR reader didn’t work so no guide and no code, despite the helpful efforts of the chap in La Tupina. We were only in the room for a short while apart from sleeping so it did t really make a difference.

Very large room, about twice the size of standard room, with separate bathroom. Very comfortable bed and table/chairs. This is not a normal hotel but more a guest house, but there are options for breakfast and lunch if you don't want to go out. Very good Michelin Restaurant across the street, and close to shops, market, museums and Cathedrals. Close to Trams and buses if you don't wnat to walk far and visit the rest of the city. Very friendly staff to look after us. Will definitely visit again.

A/C was not working in our room, but it wasn't very hot when we stayed, as long as you keep the windows open.

Nice room, not far from the train station, good amenities - coffee, fridge, kettle etc. In a quiet area, we liked it - it was a little bit different, unique

two days before check in we were asked to submit our credit card details on a website as a bond, my tablet would not open the site, so I assume it saw it as dubious. I don't like sharing my credit card details around - this should have been done through booking.com that's why we use it to keep that information relatively safe.

excellent host - Martin - easy to communicate with, very helpful to sort any queries, we felt well looked after by him. the room had a QR code which gave so much info on the accommodation itself as well as Bordeaux - fabulous research - informative and well written. very cute breakfast that arrived in a pretty basket outside the room each morning at the requested time - fresh from the bakery, the jams were delicious and freshly made from real fruit. massive fridge with small freezer compartment helped in the hot weather so we could store cold/ice water. very tastefully decorated rooms, unique décor tailored to each room, very large spacious rooms, we stayed in the Green and Grey rooms. bathrooms were lovely very quite location felt like a secure and safe area excellent location for the St Michel Tram - public transport is great in Bordeaux St Michel area is lovely to roam around great location to explore the wider city from very close to great bars and restaurants - Lola, Point Rouge , Café du Theatre right opposite the building is La Tupina restaurant - we absolutely loved it there for the service and quality of food - a MUST go in Bordeaux

Grey Room had a beautiful bath tub but no shower - showers are always preferable on holiday some of the lightbulbs had fused and needed replacing, perhaps all the electrics could be checked prior to each stay? the Green room did not have the toiletries replenished each day so I bought my own but they should have been renewed each day on one of the days the shower mat was not replaced so I had to use a spare hand towel for the shower

I was away for five weeks and I have to say that this was the most fancy and really unexpected place that I stayed in. A bit strange in that it's entrance is just a door from the street and you then go up some very old stairs, but then when the door to the room opened, I was a bit blown away. Very designer, very sparkly with the glass displays and a very large bathroom. Really wish I was staying longer than the one night. A great room for a couple too wanting to spoil yourself a bit. It really did have everything that you would want. The service that you get from Martin too, who looks after everything, is also great. Very very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if visiting Bordeaux.

While not too far from the station, it is a little walk from the city centre. Nothing long at all, but just not right in the middle of the tourist side of things. Which could actually be a plus in a number of ways!

Red Room is large, airy and very quirky good. Bed and pillows were very good. The bathroom is big and very well presented. The location is great with bars and restaurants very close (short walks). Lots of shops and walks along the river and old town as well as great architecture.

Weird to have no reception or staff at hand. No elevator might be a problem for some. Can be noisy due to tram and traffic on the cobble stones.
