The room was a very good size with an enormous comfortable bed. The en-suite had a bath and a proper shower with a WC is a separate area. The underground parking garage (c.100 spaces apparently) was very convenient and had 2 Tesla destination chargers with dedicated parking space. The route 5 bus stops outside and it is a 10 minute walk to the excellent tram system. The staff are very helpful and the cleaning was spotless. Good choices for breakfast, including fry your own and boil your egg options for ultimate freshness! Location is good, in that it has easy access to the centre without being in the busy tourist area.

No obvious place to stop and unload the car (it's on a bus lane) and getting to the garage is a trip around the building (could be better signed from the road). Decor is a bit bland corporate and a bit of a walk down long corridors to our room. No chairs or decent desk in the room (it definitely had the space to take them comfortably) and tea and coffee making facilities in the room were a bit motel-like (small paper cups and instant coffee in Little sleeves) and out of keeping with the scale and ambience of the hotel.

Original standard room not to our liking but subsequent upgrade (for an additional cost) was much better

Restaurant menu in the evening was somewhat limited. Instructions for arriving with a car were seemingly non existent. We had to park half on the pavement half in a bus lane whilst one of us went inside to establish where the underground car park was located and to obtain the code. If more than one, two or more cars arrived at the same time without knowing the procedure for parking, and having been pre advised the code, there would be potential chaos in the road outside the entrance of the hotel.

Front staff was kind, helpful and friendly. The staff in the bar/restaurant all need to speak English better, and have a more welcoming attitude. They ast like it's a privilege to serve customers. The bar/dinner staff is very disorganized and, again, dismissive of guests. needs improvement. It also would be nice to have more English-speaking channels on the TV. I got pretty tired of watching the BBX for hours. There needs to be grab rails in the tub/shower. I'm 76, and the tub is so clean that when you add that shower gel, it gets very slippery, with nowhere to grab. very dangerous.

Front staff, clean and large double room.

Hotels is fairly old so bathroom and shower are in disadvantage to those at newer hotels. But room was OK in general, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was tops, great variety and superb croissands! Parking is available in the hotel's underground which was very, very convenient.

We could mention location as a weakness but it's tricky. We preferred to leave the car at the hotel and used public transportation to move around. Although there's a bus line nearby (#4), the closest tramway stations were 10 minutes away but the area seemed very safe and we did the walks fairly late in the evening without any issues. Of course, we like to walk and did around 15k per day but you can always use Uber at very reasonable cost. Not in a commercial area and always need transportation to go for food.

The breakfast was really good. I enjoyed the fresh fruit & the different bread options as well as jams & honey. This was important to me as I do not eat eggs.

We had drinks outdoors in the rear garden on several evenings It would have been extra enjoyable if we were able to sit under an umbrella or in a shaded area.

Friendliness of the staff and nice restaurant

I did not like the paper cups in the room for making tea and coffee. There should be a note left to say there are good coffee machines downstairs in the restaurant. No glasses in the room for drinking water.

nice hotel in Bordeux. easy to get to the city centre (bus 4 stop is nearby and takes you directly to place gambetta)

there’s no actual air conditioning in the room. just a ventilation system. it happened that I stayed there in the middle of a heatwave and the room was very very hot. it was hotter than in the corridor! staff tried to solve this but it wasn’t solved. the restaurant should pay attention to their garbage area. it’s right outside the hotel and it stinks.

Clean, large sized and freshly decorated rooms in a contemporary style. Secure underground parking. The breakfast is fantastic, with great gluten and dairy free provision, and brilliant the kids ate free.

Lack of lift access to the garage is a problem, particularly as one of our party was on crutches.

Breakfast was great. Location was good although I wouldn’t have wanted to walk from bus or tram in the evening on my own. Ordered double room but got a king size bed 🙂 Parking at hotel so that was a bonus. Staff were brilliant and very helpful with directions , although marked hotel on map on wrong side of road so we ended up turning left outside hotel thinking we were heading into town but ended up at City de vins, which was an incredibly long walk back and into town and bus wouldn’t take us and didn’t accept credit cards.

Extractor on toilet didn’t work and as inside , small enclosed room with no window, I felt it was necessary. We did report it but nothing happened. Room was noisy, despite ordering a quiet one, and as it was hot at night we had to open window but then far too noisy to sleep. We were on first floor , facing road so not sure it was a quiet room as we were offered. Only one hard chair at a desk in the room. Meant we always had to sit on bed. There was plenty of room to add two comfy seats.

Room was super good and confortable. Super king size bed and very spacious room, love it! Some welcoming things, for kids, in the room, very nice. Quiet area, not close to center but fine if you like walk or bus/ tram Stop in 5min.

Just/only- info for parking. The booking did not informed about what was /not included nor desk was informing either. At end of stay we realized that parking was part of room fee. Anyway we could find a place just close to hotel entrance parking.
