An historic property and a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the mers de glacé. Staff were lovely and helpful. We loved the preservation of the hotel, the railway... historic blended with the new. Our suite was stunning and our views were astounding. Our food was included and we felt it was lovely...especially the pork terrine and the cheese and charcuterie board. Neve the cat was also pretty beguiling....

My second time here. Perfect place to recharge and relax. Stunning mountain view outside the windows. Great French breakfast and Savoie 3 course dinner. You can get a drink from the bar and just relax by the fireplace in the winter. Felt like a dream when you wake up and see the beautiful morning lights behind the mountains outside your window and when you enjoy your breakfast while admiring the views

Superb location, nice hotel, staff service levels could easily be much better- almost 500 euro for 2 nights, waiting times starter to dinner > 1 hour with vague excuse only have 2 kitchen members, check out waiting time 20 minutes as pc was occupied closing books of last day causing us to miss 9:00 train with 1 hoor delay for next 10:00 train.

We had such a great time during our weekend in the region. It was a great experience to stay at the hotel. The location is beautiful, food was delicious, the room was very comfortable, great hikes were possible directly from the hotel, and the views were amazing.

The dorms were very comfortable and spacious. The curtains made you feel like you had a lot of your own privacy and the lamp by the bedside was a nice touch for reading. Stunning scenery with the mountains and beautiful dining areas. The building is also filled with interesting apline history which adds a lot of character.

the wood panel walls we liked, but black ceilings made the room dark. Sunroom is lovely- just need to clean off the window sills.

If you are looking for escape and rest - PERFECT place. Amazing views. nice path to walk (make sure you have correct shoes to walk in nature). Great food - real French home food. Perfect breakfast. Nice selection of wine. High quality country stay.

Amazing location. Stunning period property. A place we will never forget. loved the old photos on the walls and the history of this place. mind blowing special place, so special to be alone up there just silent with the sound of the ice melting.

Hôtel and food are inspired by a real refuge climat... ( well done!) Sitting on the terrace at the sunset in a relaxed atmosphere or finishing dinner with a reinvented tarte au myrtilles nourish a real sensation of a high altitude refuge. Staff is extremely friendly, caring and helpful without impersonal polish of a luxurious hotel ... An ultimate luxury in a splendid surrounding of the emblematic European summits.
