I loved that it is a small almost family run hotel. Great friendly service, beautiful and unique spa facility. For couples this is the perfect stay in Chamonix. We really loved it.
I’m 1.95m tall, I did not fit on the bed. We got one of the most expensive rooms, so I was expecting a king size bed… this caused me to have 3/5 really bad nights of sleep. We are skiers, so we would have loved to have the breakfast earlier. It’s only from 8-10. The breakfast offers good variety, but also limited. For example, there was only one type of ham to put on bread. We thought it was weird that we had to pay for the Jacuzzi (€30) and also omelette or scrambled eggs (€3-€5).

The staff was amazing—we felt completely at home. The saunas were incredibly cozy, and the lobby, with its fireplace, created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their ‘small kitchen’ served delicious food, exceeding our expectations. One of the highlights of our trip was the outdoor hot tub under the open sky, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. A truly unforgettable experience
The only inconvenience for us was that breakfast started at 8:00 AM. As early skiers, we found this a bit late when aiming to hit the slopes by 9:00

The Hermitage was an excellent choice for our stay while visiting Chamonix! Everyone was so friendly, caring , and helpful. Loved the room, the breakfast was full of healthy choices and perfect homemade cakes and breads. Great location just a short walk to town. We felt like we were staying with family !!
Seriously, the entire experience was perfect ! Across the street are their gardens with beautiful flowers, chaise lounges in lovely groupings and flowing water to give one a sense of peace and tranquility.

Charming small hotel in a perfect quiet location, 10 minutes by walking from Chamonix city center, 4 minutes from the ski bus station. Staff is kind, helpful. Not many hotels give you a feeling of this old family run place. Very nice atmosphere.
Would be nice to get new teabags in the room after using the ones we got at arrival. Also, would be nice for the jacuzzi to be free :) Other than that, 10/10!

We really enjoyed the friendliness and service of the staff. The front desk woman who checked us in as well as the bartender/ breakfast man really walked to extra mile to make our stay great by providing fantastic service and make us feel like home. The sauna facilities were also wonderful and rooms were clean and nice. Overall they made us feel like home.
The breakfast set up was really bad. 16 eur for some bread and musli, but then you had to pay extra for the fresh ingredients such as cheese & ham even though this is France. 2 eur extra per boiled egg is also a crazy price. I would have been happier paying 21 eur fixed fee all included, which would have been a fair price rather than paying for every little thing I ate, it’s a hotel and not a food market. We had the same breakfast in town the rest of the stay for 15 euros all included.

The grounds are beautiful with nice touches, very unique. The staff is welcoming, and the beds are nice! The furnishings are perfect! I love the decor. The cold pool , the flowers gardens were nice and the cabins are charming!
I thought I was getting the nicer room with the tub. So initially was disappointed, but the room I got was beautiful, but dark. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the toilet room light in the night so I went in the dark. Other than that, it was perfect! I regret not buying the lovely breakfast buffet .

- Very quiet, yet central spot in Chamonix (5 mins walk into the city centre) - Beautiful Spa garden with three saunas and a cooling pool. It‘s all not too big but never got crowded during my stay. - Delicious breakfast with outstanding service - Amazing mountain views
- I had a stunning view from my balcony. However, it was not really usable with just two uncomfortable metal chairs and a table with an ashtray. Also missing some privacy protection to the neighbors. I think, it’s a shame that this is not equipped better. I’m sure I would have spent quite some time there. - I had a privilege room and the layout is somewhat odd with a bath tub placed directly at the entrance (no shower!). Also, this first part of the room was a bit dark. Wasn’t that big of an issue for me though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was great for skiing in the small valley slope and there's a nearby bus station to reach other slopes. The staff were super nice and friendly and they helped us to book a spa, gear rental, etc. The room was clean and well maintained and the view from the balcony was excellent.

We loved the location and quiet ambiance of hotel. It is a very special family run elegant place in Chamonix that feels different from the main town but close enough to walk to. Our room was perfect. Decorated so nicely and so comfortable. The outdoor garden and saunas a unique touch. Breakfasts delicious.
Only one thing…room with toilet is on motion sensor so if need to use in middle of night it is bright!

Comfortable and cozy place, 15 min walk from the city!
Breakfast is way to expensive for what it is. 20 euros would be fine if the eggs, omlette would be included and not paid extra
