We did have reservations booking a 2 star hotel but from the photos and previous reviews decided to give it a go and we are so pleased we did. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy The shower rooms are clean and modern. Plenty of hot water and toiletries Separate children's sleeping mezzanine was a huge hit Great to have a TV and be able to watch some of the Olympics (even though non of us speak french) The buffet breakfast was brilliant value for money. Good but basic selection of cheese, meat, eggs, bacon and cereals, pastries, bread, yogurts, juices and tea and coffee

Slight musty smell in the room when we arrived but this quickly went Our room wasn't cleaned or towels replaced during our stay however we didn't realise we had to request this. When we asked for more towels they were supplied straight away

I prefer the layout of B&B La Rochelle to others. Larger room with corner desk area, reception area with seating, vending machines, and microwave. Also small outdoor terrace. Location is great next to the cycle path & within walking distance to the station and town centre and harbour (the beaches are a bit further.). Helpful staff.

Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is very conveniently located near the train station. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional. Hotel was mostly quiet.

There was a little bit of street noise. The only window is the door to the balcony. The only way to get fresh air is to open the door, which I couldn't do for safety reasons when I was out of the room.

Perfect location by the train station and 10 minute walk to the beautiful city center and marina. Loved the cleanliness and nice room. I also am working remotely at night and the breakfast room was happily opened for me to work in there. I was grateful for this since I'd been locked out of common spaces at other hotels on my trip. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room was as we expected, very clean however the bed was not so comfortable. Location of hotel was excellent and breakfast was very nice.

Carpark was full which was unfortunate as this was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel as my husband is disabled. No assistance was offered to find us alternative parking and we had to park 2 blocks away. Uncomfortable bed.

The staff were very helpful and kind. They let us into our room early. We were delighted as we were up from 4am. They gave us extra blankets because we were cold and got us a private taxi when there was no taxis to be found on a Sunday. The food was lovely also.

great sized family room for 4 people one large double and 2 proper single beds), great location, parking very handy (need to book in advance), nice breakfast, helpful staff who spoke English. could charge electric car for free!

family room was great with two rooms upstairs (steep narrow steps) but the air conditioning didn’t reach the top level on a very very hot day (35C) and opening the window upstairs didn’t help! so people downstairs (double bed) lovely and cool, people upstairs (2 singles) were boiling hot.

Great location, over the street from the railway station and a 5 minute walk to the harbour. Good breakfast. Bonus was having tea & coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Good on site parking, unfortunately at extra cost (10 euros)

It was very clean and comfortable and in a good position

The receptionist when I arrived would not let me in the car park without paying the room, then I was 20 cents short and she wanted me to go to my car to get this before letting me in the car park or the room

I arrived very early before the check-in time, but the people in reception welcomed me kindly and let me in my room. The price was not expensive, very reasonable, the room was very confortable and clean. The equipment was also nice. The hotel is just nearby the La Rochelle station so very practical. My friend who is living in this reagion introduced me. It was good that each room is with the code, not the physical key. It was not bother me to bring and keep the key by myself.
