Spotless, not spacious but well designed and nice bathroom and travel kettle in a bonus. having travelled through Europe for a month I cannot understate how lovely it was to have such a welcoming receptionist (you’d be surprised how many fail on this) .. also the gardens and lounge area all very open plan and easy to access.

ground floor was convenient and also quiet but I was woken by the smell of bacon (I’m a vegetarian!!!) LOL it was expensive compared to other hotels on my European trip but I think that’s La Rochelle hotels generally .. but it was also all excellent

Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. They really went out of their way to help us. The rooms were clean and spacious. Plenty of free parking around the hotel too.

I didn’t like the location: it is only a 10 minute walk to the centre but the last part of the road has terrible lighting and lots of overgrown weeds along the canal so visibility was poor. It didn’t feel safe as a woman walking home at night. Fine during the day though. Breakfast was ok, not a great choice but passable.

Great set up for relaxing on the back patio after a day out. Good selection of food available at breakfast and if you plan to eat in for dinner.

We booked on night direct and one night through bookings.com due to slight change of travel plans. Had paid for breakfast for both nights. The day we left was before breakfast was starting at 8am. When we asked if we could get a refund for the breakfast we weren’t using, we were told ‘No because we booked through Booking.com’. A little disappointed with that, but has it clouded out stay.

The room was not so roomy but cosy The breakfast was very delicious and fresh. There was plenty of food choice. The coffee was really delicious The facilities met the expectations. The check-in and check-out are easy. There are really friendly personal. Especially, I would like to thank Eva for really pleasant wellcome! The location is very suitable. The train train station is close as well as the city center

We didn't take a breakfast but we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location isn't far from the historic centre of the town, local shops and a good bakery are within 4 minutes walking. The beds are really good as well as the room size and the bathroom. We were here for the third time, this means that we experience this hotel as good value for money at a good location. We liked all and especially the staff, helpfully, patience and friendly! Good and safe parking facility!

Parking can be difficult. We requested parking but when we arrived were informed it was full and already booked for the duration of our stay. 1st night we parked 3 streets away. Aircon in the room wasn't working at all the first night and reception didn't seem to know how to switch it on. Second night it was on but we were not allowed to control the temperature so still too hot.

The bed was comfy, and the aircon was very useful as the temperature was 36 degrees outside. The breakfast was average, but the bakery was fresh. Orange and apple juice are aviable. The staff were very helpful.

The location. I thought this hotel was closer to the city centre. 20-25 min by walk to the city centre. The hotel is good, but it's nothing nice to see around the hotel. It's like outside of the town..

Parking arrangements were excellent. Location was in easy walking distance of the historic port and centre ville.

No refrigerator in the room. No attempt to reduce the impact of smoking on non-smoking guests. Reception and dining area full of smoke smell. Very unpleasant and unhealthy for non-smokers.

Almost everything good, comfortable and modern hotel. Good breakfast. Very friendly and relaxed.

Location is a bit odd, on the road to nowhere outside of town but it's just 10 minutes walk to town or train station. A small fridge/mini bar would have been nice in the hot weather but at least you could buy cold drinks.

There is an electric kettle Only 1 paper cup per person to use for both tea coffee and water!!! No tea spoons only 2 wooden stirrers! Why can a glass not be available for drinking water???
