The location is excellent, just a street back from the harbour, lots of bars and restaurants nearby and only a short walk from the Aquarium. The front desk is 24 hour with friendly staff. Rooms are large with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are very large, almost too large, could probably fit another bath in the bathroom.

Not very soundproofed, bit of noise from the corridor, although effort has clearly been taken in the regard with dividing doors in the hall. The single beds in the twin rooms have quite small duvets, I found myself struggling to stay under it most of the night.

The hotel is very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is someone available at the reception desk 24/7. The breakfast had sufficient options and was fresh (not all hotels consider the importance of that). It is a good value for the money especially if you usually have larger breakfasts.

The wifi was unfortunately a bit flaky and unreliable. If you need a stable connection for work, you must be very much aware of this. However, if you come for vacation and to enjoy yourself, it is good enough - it will load your movie streams.

The location is perfect, the staff is awesome, the rooms are really good even though there is no door between the toilet/shower and the bedroom. Some reviews were talking about being noisy, but the hotel is really well soundproofed. We experimented with a music festival just outside the hotel it was really loud music but inside it was perfect. Really clean and newly renovated place. I highly recommend it if you are visiting La Rochelle, i will be back for sure.

There is no door between the toilet/shower and bedroom, only strange if you are two people but not a deal breaker. The air conditioning is quite loud even on low mode.

The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. Short walk to the train station, restaurants etc. The room was cozy and a good size for single travelers. The cleaning was excellent. Overall a good experience.

The breakfast was a bit expensive, 13 euro, but it was pretty good. Air condition could only be set to 18 degrees, but this was not a big issue since it was not warm enough to need aircon through the night. The WiFi was unstable.

The hotel was in perfect location - short walk from the station and right in the Old Port. Lots of cafe and restaurants around. We were looking for the place like that and it fitted all our requirements.

The only strange thing was that the safe in the room required code that was given by the reception over the phone. I thought the idea a of a safe was that no one knows the code but you.

The location was excellent and the price was good. The venue was clean and comfortable. The staff were charming and helpful. Breakfast was cheap and generous. The hotel is in a very cool part of town with lots of restaurants and things to see. There is a bar with a super chap who has travelled up from the South of France and speaks excellent English but lets you stutter through awful French if you want to try - first class. I thought my room was quite a good size. The shower/loo had no door but I was alone so it was not a problem. The air conditioning was very effective but noisy. Once the room was cooled down it remained so throughout the night. Breakfast was very European but more than adequate. I loved everything about my stay.

The street outside was quite noisy. On my last night this included an excellent jazz/fusion band, which I much enjoyed. Over-throttled bikes in the early hours less so.

Perfectly situated in the centre of town with good parking close by. Welcome was excellent with good directions to parking. Room was spotless and modern with a comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom well equipped and the whole space well designed. Lots of good bars and restaurants close by.

The location is fantastic, the rooms are spacious and the decor is refreshingly simple.Showers are great.

The bar was closed but this may have been an advantage! Staff nice and unobtrusive but helpful.

The breakfast dining hall was light bright and spacious with the tables well spread out. There was plenty of choice with cereals fruit and yogurt as well as the usual croissants. The cook part include egg bacon but no fried egg, tomatoes and no sausage. ☹️ It did not detract that it was a good breakfast.

Nothing we would stay again

i have stayed here a few times now and the hotel is always clean. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, and the last two stays have had a boost with the barman Florian and his unique cocktail mixes are the perfect way to start the evening. It would be nice to see more promotion of the bar as a place to relax before going out to make the most of the town, and I would recommend all future guests to drop by for a refresher before heading out. There is no cocktail list so you have to discuss with Florian what you like in a drink and he can then do his magic.

The coffee machine for the morning breakfast could do with an update.
