We arrived quite late due to our flight being delayed but we received a very welcoming service from all the staff. They could not do enough for us, they showed us to our room and explained how everything worked and that was very nice. The breakfast in the mornings was exceptional, the choice was amazing and the quality first class. The cocktails in the evenings were also superb and the bar staff were always friendly and very accommodating.

We asked concierge to book us a restaurant but unfortunately this was not followed through. However instead we were booked into the hotels own restaurant which made up for it.

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel for our first time. Perfectly situated in the heart of the city with its own dedicated underground secure parking. My impression was there is a very young team running this upmarket hotel, and what a fantastic job they are doing, the CEO would be really proud of them. They are efficient and motivated to give you, as guests, a fantastic time, going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I would not hesitate in recommending the staff and hotel, the accommodation was great quality, the bar did fantastic cocktails. It put La Rochelle as a go to place for the two of us, and we will definitely be back and look forward to staying at the hotel again

The cost to get breakfast is ridiculous. Some guests would like breakfast one or two mornings in hotel during an extended stay when it's not included in their room rate, but the price here is too much for what is offered compared to other hotels. It's best to just go out for a coffee and croissant in local cafes which are numerous and good value. Bar and room service menu for a 5 star hotel should be better. Very limited food offering.

Impressive hotel in an excellent, central location. A young staff who were pleasant, helpful and friendly whilst remaining courteous and professional at all times. We didn't eat in the hotel but enjoyed a few drinks in the bar which has a nice, relaxed vibe. We travelled with our pet dog who was made very welcome which we appreciated. Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated and had air conditioning, a mini-bar, coffee maker and safe. Our two night stay was booked at the last minute but exceeded our expectations in every way and we would have no hesitation in returning to Maison des Ambassadeurs on our next visit to beautiful La Rochelle. Optional reserved parking was an added bonus and directions and information on navigating the traffic restrictions in the Old Town and the automatic bollard were spot on.

Amazing hotel, loved everything about it. The staff were amazing - everyone was so welcoming and friendly, gave us great recommendations of things to do and restaurants to try! The beds (both main bed and sofa bed) were so comfortable, and the rooms were impeccably decorated and clean. I loved the style of the hotel, all the games in the lobby bar and the attention to detail. Did not get a chance to try the pool or spa this time but will definitely be returning!! Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful.

A few flies at breakfast on the food so maybe some covers would be good?

Best hotel my husband and I have stayed in!! Such class and so chic! We love la rochelle alot and go there alot. We will always be coming back to this hotel. The breakfast, the rooms , the pool and the BAR!!! The barman was hilarious and showed all his cocktail making skills. So glad we found this hotel, it made the near ending of our minimoon even more special!!

Everything is absolutely perfect with this hotel!!!!

The hotel staff were very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The location was about 20-25 minutes walk from the main station, and very easy to find. It is located in the old part of the city, with a lot of the roads traffic free. We spoke a little French, but nearly all the hotel staff we had contact with spoke French and English. We did not have any meals at the hotel, so cannot comment on the quality of the food, but we understand it was of a high standard.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated and are clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptional, always a smile and nothing too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent, lots of choice to please everyone and great service. It is located centrally in the old town making everything easily accessible, a good choice of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We will certainly be making a third visit.

A very minor complaint. There were no mattresses for the wooden sunbeds which made them rather uncomfortable. It would not deter us from revisiting.

Everything was excellent. The personnel were charming and welcoming, they were always smiling. I encountered a problem in my room and they dealt with it momentarily. Pools was nice in comparison to the city and what is available. Loved my stay.

If hotels would stop their policies and put some decent toiletries, it would be better. Breakfast was great, but i find the patisserie a little bit cold. Maybe because i was late. But still i have to mention it. Other than that i totally recommend this hotel. You won’t regret it.

We were upgraded a suite which was a really nice touch and made up for the weather. Parking was easy and our electric car charging was included in the price. Breakfast was expensive but worth every penny. Lots of choice and excellent quality. All the staff were very professional and made us feel relaxed and welcome. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the cassoulet my husband had for room service was really good!

The pool was smaller than I expected. Everything else was pretty much perfect!
