Centrally-located, right next to the 'twin towers' of La Rochelle, with many cafes and restaurants on the doorstep, so an excellent base for a stay in the town. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the proprietor helpful and friendly.

La Rochelle's one-way system is very complicated so getting to the hotel by car can be a challenge; the area around the hotel is pedestrianised, so you should expect to use a car park (the nearest one is about five minutes' walk away). On the other hand, this means that the area around the hotel is very pleasant and almost traffic-free, so there's a definite up-side.

Check in went very well, location was excellent, room was of average size, bathroom with shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Although some of the bedrooms are above restaurants, I can assure you the double glazing means you hear absolutely nothing. Air conditioning was great.

Lovely small hotel in great location near the old port and restaurants. Parking short distance from hotel. Very pleasant owner who was helpful. Breakfast was traditional French style but at an exceptional price with good coffee.

Excellent location , cosy hotel to come back to after walking here and there .My room was spacious and fresh. Very clean and neat. Very pleasant cleaning lady . I would recommend.

So ok, there’s no lift. However the stairs aren’t too bad. I was on the third floor and didn’t mind using the stairs at all. Nothing bad to say. I didn’t eat breakfast because I just prefer morning coffee and something light.

We liked the quite calm atmosphere and you weren’t aware of other guest although there were some. Great location for a one or two nights stay and the young lady on reception was amazing very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was exactly as expected and good value for money. Would definitely go again when in this region

What a little gem of a find right in the centre of La Rochelle. The lady who runs it was very welcoming and friendly. Even though it is above very busy restaurants it was very quiet - will definitely be booking again

In the port in Bayonne, a perfect spot. Unable to reach the hotel by car. Reception on first floor no lift. Long way to park! Room was described as having 'a view over the terrace'. Humm? However, very clean and in the middle of all restaurants, bars and cafes. Too far to park if a little infirm as is my husband.
