Amazing to stay in a unesco site hotel that is an architectural landmark like living within a museum exhibit and very interesting to explore the rooms shops and roof terrace.

The room was lovely and in keeping with the Le Corbusier style however there were issues. Wall plugs not working correctly. Occasional table that fell apart. Worst was a terrible leaking shower on an extremely slippery floor surface, the water flooded every time even after a short shower and the slippery floor was dangerous.

The building is absolutely stunning, to stay in such a location was very special and I'm absolutely glad I booked to stay here. The architect's dream. Staff were friendly on check-in and everything was smooth and easy. Parking is available for our rented car. The room was small but comfortable and the balcony had a lovely view. The real attraction to staying here is that you become 'a resident' of the building, with access to parts of the roof not open to the public, and access at times the public are not permitted. We were able to explore and engage with the building on our own and that was a very special experience.

Even in October we found our small room to be quite hot and stuffy, especially at night. The air conditioning fans were located right above the bed which made it unpleasant to leave on constantly throughout the night. This meant we would be woken through the night feeling too hot, turn on the AC for 15 mins to cool the room before switching back off. We stayed for three nights and experienced broken sleep on all three nights. A small price to pay.

If you are interested in the architecture of Corbu this is a must. Access is available to a large part of the building including most of the roof terrace. It's located well away from the port area but the transport connections are frequent and inexpensive. The road that runs past Unite is pretty busy and noisy as are the parakeets which live in the trees. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant which is a fascinating space is well worth the extra payment and much better value than the cafe next door.

The maintenance is not great. Light bulbs not replaced and the hot water stopped working in my shower.

I wish there was a program to help restore and maintain building and surrounding landscape better. It’s a very important site.

Staying at L'Unite d'Habitation was a lifelong ambition and I was not disappointed. Beautifully refurbished preserving the spirit of Le Corbusier - but with a better bathroom! Breakfast was excellent and in such a lovely environment. Bus and metro route back to Marseille central easy and cheap. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and very friendly, we enjoyed the bookshop and access to the building afforded to us as temporary residents.

We would have liked to eat in the restaurant - the tasting menu was just not of interest and out of our price bracket - but we would have paid a premium price for a more normal meal!

It was an amazing experience staying in such a phenomenal building and such a delight to be able to use the roof terrace and explore the common floors. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and I would certainly return. I had a basic cabin room, small but obviously well designed. It's worth knowing that the cabin rooms have their own toilets but in a common hallway, not ensuite. Not an issue for me.

I loved my stay, only criticism is the breakfast was very basic for the price. I could have done with another pastry. To be fair thought I didn't ask for one.

For lovers of architecture and its history. An unusual place where you can go back in time to the 1950.

The place is amazing and the charming Manager is very helpful in everything. It is good to contact her before your arrival.

Hotel Le Corbusier is located in an iconic building - Unite d'habitation, designed by one of the most influential architects in the modernist moment, which the hotel takes its name from. Its exposed concrete and high rise megastructure containing not just flats but shops, community spaces intended to be a 'street in the sky', a concept that spawned thousands of high-rise buildings around the world but this one in Marseille is the most well know and is a World Heritage Site. The hotel is located in several of the rooms once used for flats and has a double-height very sixties reception/bar area with original furniture. The room also has what appears to be original furniture and a balcony. The roof terrace is stunning and features on the front of several of my architecture books. The views across Marseille and the wider Provence region are beautiful and the concrete 'funnels' and rooftop buildings are very distinctive.

The hotel is a way from the centre of Marseille, being a 10 minute Metro ride and then a couple of minutes on a bus. That worked fine for me as the buses seem pretty frequent but it may put some off,

If you are a fan of architecture, you’ll be in heaven - such as me. The fact that you are able to live the life with local inhabitans of such brutalist beauty is incredible. On the other hand please expect 3star equipment - better said - brutalism period equipment. It is not for everyone.

Didnt have the opportunity to open the windows due to old window frames, & had only very old airconditioning that tried to do its job. Luckily it was not that hot outside …

Incredible groundbreaking architecture-amazing to be able to spend two nights there, eat in the superb restaurant, visit the specialist art and furniture shops in the building, and the botanic gardens, museum of decorative arts and beach nearby. Very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful staff- thank you!
