We stayed here for a second time, working our way back up France. It's a great place for a stop over. Friendly staff, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast is lovely and the restaurant offers some high quality options. The pool and spa areas are clean and comfortable. A special mention to Madeleine on the reception desk - she is so friendly, speaks exceptionally well in English and is so good with children. The location is so quiet - we all slept well

The large family room needs a spruce up. The plug in sink doesn't work and it just needs a lick of paint and the soft furnishings updating. The AC unit is quite loud too

This hotel has become a regular of ours when travelling back each summer from the Landes coast. Ideally situated roughly half way between our place of holiday and Caen where we get the ferry back to the UK. Orchard rooms are ideal for our two dogs and the rooms are clean, comfy and generally well appointed. We stayed on the top floor this time (in the Orchard complex - rooms 600 to 60X - not sure how many there are) and these rooms are better than the ground and first floor rooms in terms of comfort. However, with dogs and a dog crate a car fridge and all our general clobber, the ground floor is more accessible. The restaurant was amazing again (last year it was quite limited) but they seem to have a new menu with lots of choice - they even do a kids menu now which is great (not that we needed it) as before the adult options were a little too complex for most young kids. Also they have introduced a formule price for entree, main and desert or just entree and main which has helped with the cost. Think Euro37 for three courses pp. which is good value for what you get. Staff are always very welcoming. The grounds are pretty with a pond and it borders a golf course so if anyone fancies a round, it's next door. The hotel serves a great breakfast and as said does dinner (booking a must), but only opens for lunch for pre-arranged groups. The golf club does a good lunch apparently which is a 2 minute walk away. Breakfast is the usual fare of eggs, streaky and small sausages, but there are cereals, yogurts, fruit, mini pastries, ham, meats, bread and cheese etc, plenty for just Euro15 each. Coffee and juice of course. The swimming pool is indoors but with an opening roof for when it is hot and has an outside sitting area. There is also a table tennis table and some outside seating by the pond, where you can relax with a drink from the bar. There is also a Spa and steam room but these are extra. Wifi is free.

Check out used to be at 12pm which was great as it allowed a leisurely get up and breakfast then a good swim in the pool. They have from last year brought it back to 11am which is a bit of a pain, as getting a swim in is only possible if you get up and have breakfast early. Pool opens from 10am, which could be better if it was earlier, to allow more time before you depart.

We did arrive quite late but the lady at the desk was very kind and got us accommodated in the dining room for an excellent meal... even though they were fully booked. Room was nice and comfortable.Beds very good. As for the dining...absolutely devine. Staff absolutely lovely...evenings and mornings...we can recommend this hotel.

Maybe the bathroom (even though very clean) could do with a freshen up and more toiletries provided (by that I don't mean lotions etc.) but maybe more soap and soap and shampoo in shower. Also shower would be nicer if more power... Only 1 pillow each...but we made do and were quite ok.

Everything, location, beautiful Manor House, it had a lovely pool and sun beds outside. Gardens were fabulous. Rooms in manor very nice, beautifully furnished, very eco friendly. Food for dinner at night in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous, and not too expensive. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Our room was lovely but the enormous beams made it difficult to get into bed as on side you had to really duck your head and not to forget if you got up in the night, and in the bathroom it was a bit of a problem getting in and out of the bath/shower, but managed it ok. Not a complaint in any way, just the way it was. Extremely small pillow also which was very lumpy. Not in keeping with everything else.

The rooms (Orchard) are ideal for dogs. They have also been updated since our last stay there and are more modern and comfortable. The view from the terrasse when dining is amazing across a pretty pond and golf course. The main hotel is extremely pretty. The swimming pool is excellent (have used before) and is covered although the roof can be opened, although we didn't get a chance to use it this time as they have changed the check out time to 11am (see below).

They could provide bath sheets rather than the smallish bath towels that they provide now, certainly in our room. The dinner menu is pretty much limited to 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts which was disappointing as it used to be so much better with a greater range of choices. They have changed the check-out time from 12pm to 11am which is not as good for us as it pretty much means that we cannot use the pool in the morning as it only opens at 10am. Would be good if they changed this back to 12pm. The breakfast buffet is OK, but they should remove the tables from the buffet room and locate them elsewhere as it is very difficult to get to the food with everyone crammed in - too much stuff and not enough space.

The location was lovely, very peaceful and quiet. it would be perfect for golfers with the course on site. We were not in the main house but the room was still very nice.

nothing. The hotel restaurant was full so the receptionist recommended a local Brasserie and made a reservation for us. we had a lovely meal there and it was only five mins away by car. We had a coffee on the hotel terrace which was very relaxed. The breakfast was plentiful and with lots of options. staff were all lovely.

The hotel is a very beautiful looking building set in lovely grounds. It is very ornate. It was great to walk our dog. The receptionist and bar staff were super helpful. We arrived after a long journey from the south of France. The restaurant was fully booked but the bar was open. The bar staff gave us some snacks and then asked if we would like a meat and cheese platter. We ordered this and it was very delicious. We felt valued. They brought our dog some water too. There is a water cooler at reception and guests are encouraged to refill bottles - being more environmentally friendly 👍👍 The breakfast was nice with a good variety.

The bathroom wasn’t very functional. Very awkward to have a shower - you needed to hold the shower head. There were no bins in the grounds to dispose of doggy business - which is a shame as would be useful to keep the grounds clean. The breakfast room was very crowded and it felt a bit claustrophobic when getting food and while sat down, it was very busy.

The grounds and swimming pool were beautiful. The rooms were huge and loads of space for the children and our dog. Breakfast was nice. Baby cot in the room. The staff were very helpful with letting us fill up our water bottles for our journey and also providing us with milk for the baby's bottle after check out :)

There was some black mould inside the wardrobe in the room and the marble shelf in the bathroom was very sharp and not safe for little children, I would recommend removing it if it's uses as a family room. Lovely hotel though :)

Lovely building, friendly staff, great lounge and delicious dinner. the dinner was really good. The breakfast was ok too. The room was a bit small, but comfortable and had a nice view on the golf field. Very calm. Free spacious parking.

- the room was a bit dusty - strange construction of the bath, but ok - we were there in late April and outside of the hotel there were nothing to do at all, no outdoor benches or chairs etc.

Lovely staff, great location, peaceful and picturesque. Good restaurant.

We've stayed here several times, but this was the first time we had a room in the main house rather than the annexe. It was impossible to stand up straight in our shower making showering very uncomfortable. OK we are both quite tall, but we're not giants! Apart from that our room was good.
