I usually go for 4/5* hotels but this was a game changer for me. Bel’alpe had none of the rigidity of a higher grade hotel, it was not over-packed with self-important people, it was chilled and overall a very pleasant environment. The hotel did not even charge us for early check in and late check out, which, again a 4/5* hotel would immediately see as an opportunity for extra revenue. Bel’alpe was extremely refreshing, the staff were a lovely team and the facilities somehow not over-crowded despite the hotel being quite busy. Myself and my two adult children were mostly in the locker room on our own getting our skis on and returning at the end of the day and I had the sauna to myself each time I used it.

This is a personal opinion but I thought some of the decor in the communal areas was a little old fashioned and could do with a refresh but nonetheless it was very comfortable.

We had arranged 4 hotels for our trip to Geneva, Morzine and Paris.. Bel’alpe is probably the best after staying in 3 of them in terms of location, facilities, comfort and coziness.. The hosts, Cedric and Francois were the friendliest u will find.. We are leaving Morzine with Cedric’s constant laughters deep in our minds.. The family room with the bunk bed was perfect for our group of 5 even though we had also booked another room with a double bed.. Both rooms came with balconies overlooking different views of Avoriaz and Morzine ski slopes.. The inflated igloo at the entrance provided good family time on our 1st day.. Walking to either chair lifts was a breeze.. It’s approximately 200m each way.. Cedric offered reservations for our dinners on arrival even though restaurants are all within short distances.. There’s a supermarket within 200m as well.. Skis equipment storage available in the basement even though we preferred to store them at Intersports as they were too heavy to move around.. A family gaming room is also available in the basement with a table tennis table, pool, foosball and lots of board games..

An elevator would have been nice 😅 but Cedric claimed he was the human lift.. Breakfast menu could have change a little over our 4 days.. 😉

This hotel is a gem. Warm, cosy and so welcoming- all the staff here are an absolute asset. The breakfast is delicious with lots of choices and the communal bar area is a lovely space to relax. The rooms are spotless and serviced every day. The location is great, in a quiet location and a minute’s walk to restaurants, shops etc and around a 5 minute walk to either of the 2 gondolas serving Morzine and Avoriaz. We will definitely book again.

Small, friendly hotel with a cosy family feel. Rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Games room is fantastic and was a huge hit with our boys. Breakfast is excellent, great selection and something for everyone. Most impressive thing about Bel’alpe is definitely the staff. Françoise the owner went out of her way to introduce herself to us and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The day before we left she organised a last minute transfer to Geneva airport through one of her contacts which was excellent. The transfer was very comfortable and friendly. Cedric, the front of house member of staff was just amazing. He was available at all times, nothing was too much trouble and his face was never without a smile. Our children loved him and have declared Bel’alpe one of the best hotels they have ever stayed at!

I love everything about Bel'Alpe Hotel. Cedric the manager and Francoise the owner are wonderful. They make our stay so memorable. They make sure of every details to make our stay comfortable, even little things like what my daughter likes to eat (the marshmallow snack they serve at the bar) even sometimes when we are hanging out at the bar, not ordering anything, Cedric will still come with a bowl of marshmallow for my daughter. Francoise notices I love their mini pretzel snacks, and at the end of my stay gave me a huge box of it. This kind of warmth and hospitality is priceless, the kind of stuffs you dont get in 5 star hotels. We love our stay so much that we are thinking to make Morzine our regular skiing destination every year, that's how wonderful our stay is! I am not a breakfast person, but I have to say their breakfast is awesome, that it became my biggest meal of the day

Nothing, everything was perfect!

The owner Francoise was welcoming, hard working and charming. Cedric who seemed to be everywhere, was truly amazing. He was behind the bar, in front of bar, waiting at tables, welcoming every time we walked into reception (from either direction) always happy, laughing and attentive. If you happen to be staying anywhere else in Morzine, pop in for a drink. You won't be disappointed as apparently Cedric works 7 days a week throughout the winter ski season. The hotel is very well located for skiing and socialising and is clean and very comfortable and even though we possible had the smallest double room (by choice) we had ever stayed in, we would definitely recommend and return. The 'bubble' in the garden was an additional unexpected experience. (Photo attached) Parking easily accessible as right outside the main entrance. Great value and experience.

Nothing at all to dislike.

I booked this chalet hotel for my daughter and me to spend a few days skiing in the Port du Soleil. The location is perfect for both main lifts and we hired our skis from Tavernier Sports upon the recommendation of the hotel and left skis at the shop overnight which minimised the walking and allowed us to stay in town for a drink or shopping before heading for the hotel. The Hotel Bel'Alpe is a place that makes you feel welcome, cared for and happy. It is intimate, very cosy and is the perfect place to return to after a day on the slopes. It is immaculately clean and it is not difficult to understand what makes this hotel so good after you have stayed. It is quite clear that this place is run with an enormous sense of pride in providing a great experience. In fact I have never know such amazing service and attention to detail. Cedric is the front of house and I am not sure how he does it but whenever you need something, he just happens to be there. I think he would do anything or provide anything you need if you ask. We arrived in the afternoon on a Friday and of course, had not booked a restaurant which is necessary at least a day in advance. Cedric downed tools and got on the phone for us and after quite a few calls, he sorted something for us ( and it was top quality ). We had to leave early morning so would miss breakfast, except we didn't because Cedric set breakfast up for us 90 mins earlier that normal start time. His G&Ts are fantastic and the lounge bar is somewhere you just don't want to leave. The energy these guys have is non-stop. Cedric is what hospitality is all about. 10/10. If you want to feel truly welcome and really looked after with care and pride, go to this hotel. Paul & Ashley

There was nothing we did not like.

The hotel was warm, comfortable, and spotless, with an excellent breakfast and friendly staff; situated close to town in a very quest location but only a few minute's walk to the closest ski hire shop, lifts, bars and restaurants.

Booking was a complete disaster as payment was only taken several months after booking, and two of the rooms were double booked, so some of our party had to stay in an alternative hotel. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have the option any longer for evening meals, so you do have to book a restaurant each night of your stay,

I really can't find fault with this hotel. Its in an excellent location, just on the edge of the town centre meaning everything is within 5 to 10 minutes walk. Both gondola's are within about 450m, as is the main town centre, but there are bars & restaurants closer (including a cracking little microbrewery!). We were a family of four, children being 5 + 9 and they loved the place. Staff really accommodating, breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, and there is a games room (pool, table football, etc.) in the basement with the ski room and sauna.

Exceptional hospitality from friendly and pleasant staff. Always looking to help and make our stay great. Breakfast was freshly made and with a nice variety. Cozy and clean common areas. The room was clean and cosy as well. The location is quiet and not far from the city center (walking distance) and also next to a ski lift. It also provides available parking.

The bathroom in the room wasn't allowing for much privacy, due to a glass door, but with a bit of music all went well! 😄 Also a lift could help with my moving luggages on to the floors, even though Centrix always offered to help.
