Wow! Art lovers will appreciate the host's large collection on display, enhancing the grandeur of this most elegant house. The wood panelling and sweeping staircase around the main reception area is most impressive. Breakfast is excellent and most convivial around one large table. My ensuite, as I'm sure all of the rooms are, was equally stylish and comfortable. I'm sure we all appreciate the inclusion of bath robes along with the towels.

Nothing. There's nothing to dislike about Peonia At Home. However, I will say that so many properties could do with having at least one electric wall socket also fitted with USB ports for charging devices easily. I'd bought such a plug in Germany, but I couldn't get it to fit into the French sockets.

we had the opportunity to live with a family who rents rooms. Host were nice and extremely helpful. Their is a great concept for breakfast that you share a table with other guests. We met new guests every day. In this villa are many beautiful things, pictures all over the house, amazing flowers. Room is big and comfortable. Beds are good. Parking available at the back of the house behind the closed door.

Bathroom is tiny and outdated. Breakfast is more than sufficient for an adult, but for my adolescent children who don’t fancy sweet products, the selection was limited and calorically insufficient. Pictures on booking are professional and misleading with all the glory. The glory faded away, but the value for price is good.

A wonderful house, full of history and nicely renovated. When you step in the open hallway you get fascinated with the breathtaking beauty of this architectural masterpiece. There is a warm welcome by the friendly hosts and you will be very grateful for their services when you enjoy a fantastic breakfast with lots of homemade specialties. My room was relatively small but had everything I needed and there was additional common space I could also use. I want to stay there again if I will get back to Mulhouse.

The house is an a relatively busy street and it is noisy if you sleep with open windows.

Breakfast is in the main room of the house which is very beautiful. Table setting adequate with a lot of bread, bread rolls, cakes and the additional for a continental breakfast with a good selection of jams. Coffee is either filter otherwise you are offered expresso, cappuccino, etc. Tea is also available. Host very amicable and friendly. Garden at the back of the house also has some comfortable chairs and some tables to relax and have a drink or two and meet up with the other guests. A very relaxed atmosphere and friendly.

The room we chose was a little small if one is used to a larger one, but clean and adequate for a one night stay.

Staying in this magnificent house is a delight, as are the owners. Great combination of antique and modern. The breakfast was the best breakfast we have ever had (gained at least 2 kilos), that says a lot because we travel a lot. Nearly everything homemade, healthy and beautifully presented. We certainly will come back to this delightful place.

This is probably a personal thing, but for us the bed was too hard (being older people with not great backs), we normally bring our inflatable mattresses, but we forgot this time. So this is NOT a complaint, but a remark.

The room we had was very small and incredibly hot. The bathroom had glass panels into the bedroom with little privacy - not our personal taste. We had trouble getting access to the property on arrival. Numerous unanswered phone calls and no reply on the intercom. A friendly local helped by telephoning on our behalf as the answerphone instruction was in French - yes I know it is France but listening to a quick message isn’t easy!

As soon as you come to the property, you feel immediately at home! The atmosphere is fantastic, the nice renovated mansion is the piece of art by itself, but the owners put a very special intellectual aristocratic charme into the whole house - pictures, photos, small sculptures - everything is at place and you can spend hours observing and admiring. We booked 2 rooms - the family suite and a small double one for our company of 3 adults and 2 kids and we got 3 - to the great joy of our teenager, who had her own room. Parking places are direct at the house, which is very precious in the district with private mansions and parks. Beds are comfortable. In the morning we were warmly welcomed by the owners in the main hall where we were served very nice breakfast with regional tasty products. The owners told us about the origine of the products and we were very excited to try local cheese, bread and jam. Table serving with nice dishes, silver cutlery and candle lights brought us to the atmosphere of exquisite aristocratic times. We were happy to stay in this house

The property was a beautiful Alsatian house with a garden and plenty of vegetation. The breakfast room and the breakfast table were superb as well as the local specialties baked by the hostess. Within easy walking distance from the central railway station. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They suggested that we see some great places.

The shower was too high and the water was leaking from the shower cabin. There was a pillar next to the bed and behind the pillar there was a lot of dust and spider webs, which were visible only if you lie down in bed and which the house keeper, who was nice and friendly, couldn't see and clean.

We were traveling through Mulhouse on our way to Italy and stayed here for 2 nights. It was in an ideal position for us, close to the town for us to explore, but a little way out so not too noisy. Our hosts were wonderful! We found it difficult to find a restaurant to eat as it was Sunday and many were fully booked, but were given a recommendation to HUG. Had a good meal. The next night was Monday and lots of places were closed so our hosts very kindly cooked a wonderful meal for us which we ate on the terrace outside - felt very honoured! Breakfast was super, with plenty of choice. The house itself is fascinating and our hosts wer full of interesting information about it, with extremely comfortable rooms. We had a wonderful experience, thank you and we will return.

Excellent location located close to the center, offers parking and security during the night. The villa is tastefully decorated and offers a very comfortable feeling, as do the hosts, welcoming, attentive and open to answering any questions. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade dishes in tune with the winter period when we stayed.

Unfortunately, I booked at the last minute and the room I chose was a small one. But it compensated with the addition to a very relaxing living room, thus supplementing the reduced space.
