Very good location close to everything. Comfy bed. Quiet.

The hotel sent me a weird link to check in online. It seemed alright until it asked for my credit card. That's either fraud or a very bad mistake because I had already paid the reservation at the time I created the booking. The receptionist did not ask us for our IDs. It seems to me that could lead to a serious security problem in the future. Breakfast seemed expensive at 16 euros, though maybe we're just not their target audience. There's a great bakery called MATA across the street where you can have an outstanding breakfast for much less.

Very tidy and functional room. Good showers, clean sheets and silent room. Very comfortable to sleep.

The room is very small, even if we had not much luggage, basically 2 handbags, it was hard to find enough storage to keep our room free. For the paid breakfast, I didn't like they give us only a small plate, just made the whole buffet experience worse. The food was good.

The hotel was located in a nice quiet area. Parking was limited and it was underground. The spots were pretty tight but it was secure. There is a bar on the main floor of the hotel and it had a very limited menu for food at dinner time. We opted for a ramen place not far from the hotel. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There was an elevator and air conditioning. We paid EUR 12 for parking and another EUR 16 per person for breakfast. The breakfast was great with a good selection of sweet and savory items. The hotel had free filtered or carbonated water that you can self dispense from a machine by the bar.

Spotless, very comfortable, staff very friendly. Good value and as hotel is just few months old, everything is fresh. Room was good: very comfortable large bed, coffee machine, hair dryer to plug in. Bathroom isn't separate but toilet has slide over door and double frosted doors into the shower. Nice shower too and body wash and shampoo provided. I was solo traveller so was all fine.Nice bar area. Location was reasonably close to centre. About 20 mins walk from train station and airport shuttle bus which was ten euro one way.10-15 mins walk to castle in the centre so very accessible by foot (head out front door, turn right, cross the road and take a left turn onto the main road. Walk straight up the road, over the bridge and you will come to the castle)I had read reviews disappointed in breakfast. It was fine with sausage, scrambled egg, delicious cheese, fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts pastries etc. There was nothing wrong with it and to be honest, was exactly same as other smaller sized hotels I have stayed in. Happy to have stayed and definitely would return.

Maybe breakfast could be little cheaper. €16 was little much.

The staff, including the manager, could not have been more helpful especially as we had had a dreadful time accessing the hotel's location due solely to roadworks blocking the obvious routes and the sat nav always trying to return us to those routes. A local lady, bless her, spent some time drawing out a route on our map which avoided the maze of one-ways, pedestrian/cycle only etc and got us there. Once the roadworks are complete the access should be very, very simple. Check if you are using a vehicle!!

An evening meal, other than pitza, would have been desirable but the breakfast was good.

The property was evidently new and portrayed this with its modern appearance and cleanliness. The room was lovely - the sink is partially in the room however there is a door you can pull to give the bathroom area privacy. The room was spacious and we loved the reception area where we spent a couple of nights watching the Olympics on the tv’s with a drink - the bar is extensive and there is an option to order food such as woodfire pizzas. There is a coffee machine in the room and additional nespresso pods were provided if needed. There was also an excellent water facility in the main reception which offered unlimited still, sparkling and ice cold water. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here.

The rooms only had the option for nespresso coffee and there was no kettle, meaning a cup of tea was not an option. There was also no glasses, just paper cups. There was also no fridge - you could go to the bar and ask for milk but this is an inconvenience. The property is set slightly outside of the centre. We did however establish a better walking route through the streets avoiding the main roads which took 10-15 minutes each way - but best to note that this hotel is not in the main centre of Nantes.

EV parking available for 12€ and charging with 7,2kw included for free. Breakfast was all you need with good variety. Location about 12-15minutes to city centre walking. A good selection of restaurant were in the surrounding of the hotel. We stayed in the comfort rooms at ground level with a good size.

In principle no dislike, however an annoying flashing lamp in the bathroom, which I indicated to the reception. Reception took care but lamp was still flashing because the flashing started after a couple of minutes, thus not easy to find. I cross fingers for the next guest cause the flashing is pretty annoying.

This hotel was outstanding and well above expectations for the price. In a lovely location and close to everything in central Nantes, easy walking distance to everything you would want to visit. Parking on site in the paid car park or on-street, great friendly staff, lovely bar (open all night!), plenty of space, great free wi-fi with good signal throughout, a nice area to sit out for food and drink. Everything was very clean, roos were comfortable (smallish though enough space for requirements), hot water, great shower, room safe and air con. I could not recomment Hotel de la Cite highly enough and I will be back.

I didn't like the fact that I could find no fault or bad point to comment on at all in our 3 day stay

The sheets smelled fresh as they should - after so many nights with sheets that smelled of laundry detergent it was so good to find a hotel room that didnt have any chemical smells. The bed was comfortable.

I do not like the replacement of a kettle and tea/coffee sachets with these awful so-called coffee machines. So i had to go all the way down to ground floor to get hot water so that i could make nescafe for myself. Then i have to say that the girls in the breakfast service area would confuse the hot kettle which had been boiled some time ago with hot water. The water was no longer hot enough for a hot drink and should have been be boiled whenever hot water is requested. This is a small problem though because generally i liked my room and the hotel. Albeit you do have to turn the air conditioning to very cold in order not to get hot in bed with the doona. Im not a doona fan and prefer a sheet and wool blanket. Synthetics make you hot too.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The entire property was impeccably clean and tidy, with a modern and cool aesthetic that made my stay feel both comfortable and stylish. The room rates were very reasonable, offering great value for money. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The WiFi was reliable and fast, which was perfect for both work and leisure. What really stood out, however, was the incredibly helpful staff, who not only provided exceptional service but also spoke superb English, making communication effortless. Highly recommended!
