Things were great overall. Location, Kind crews, nice and neat room. Highly recommand the hotel.
When we check in there was a mistake from the hotel. They said we got what we booked but I searched every picture they promote and found out the room was not what I booked from the first place. They said it’s the same room but it was surely not. space/ view/ everything was different from the pictures. It would be really nice if they were to say it’s the same, they need to promote clearly what they sell. But they were very kind to re-arrange the room and settle us again. We finally got the room that we booked.

Amazing location, lovely rooms and all staff are friendly and welcoming!
Depending what room you get it can be quite noisy, especially a Saturday night, keep that in mind! :)

Albert 1er was the perfect choice for my trip - I was very pleased with it! As with other reviews, the hotel looks exactly like the photographs; and I really appreciated this, as this was in big part why I chose it. I stayed in a Double Room with Garden View, in February (off season). The refurbished creative design was great (it all looked fabulous), with really nice lighting options and more, and my bedroom had the right balance of space and a cosy atmosphere. It was perfect for my trip, and my booking included a complimentary upgrade as it was off season, which I really appreciated. It's rare to find a great price, great location and great design all in one! Best things about the hotel were: location, design, cleanliness (it was spotless, and the cleaners were there every day), the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful at all times (something I also really appreciated as I was travelling alone), the 24 hour manned reception, and much more. The hotel room also had all the key practical things I needed, as I had some work to do while staying there: kettle, desk, safe (which worked and was easy to use), wifi, great blackout blinds etc. The shower was also excellent, with both a rainfall shower and a handheld one - it was bliss; and the bathroom was pristine clean, with a useful under-sink shelf to store your wash bag. The location is excellent - right by the old town, overlooking Jardins Albert Premier (a good spot if you want to watch the concerts!), and 2 minutes walk to the beach and Promenade Anglais. There are lots of restaurants close by, and there's a fabulous Artisan bakery just a 5 minute walk away, which does salads and other meals (Parmigiana etc.) you can take away, for meals on the go. The bus stops right outside the door, and it's just a 3 minute walk to the tram, taking you straight to Nice Ville station and other key destinations. So easy!
The bed had a mattress protector directly under the sheet, so the plastic underside of that made the bed hot at night. I would recommend they put an additional (double folded) cotton sheet or equivalent between the top sheet and the protector, in order to keep the bed nice and cool, whilst still protecting their mattresses. The bedding was pristine clean but the bedding felt of medium quality. That said, it was very fair and did the job given the reasonable price to stay there!

This hotel is a gem! Beautiful character building from the early 1900’s. Bright, elegant & spacious room, unbeatable location! Warm, welcoming & friendly staff! Stunning views (book a Privilege Seaview-room! It’s 100% worth it!) Super comfy bed & perfect pillows, power-shower. Top-quality bathroom-products from Nuxe. Sparkling clean. I loved the art work on the wall:) Location, location, location! Just steps from the beach, and everything is nearby. I absolutely loved my stay at the Albert 1er! What a gorgeous hotel! Will definitely return!
I loved everything! However, it would be a really great perk to have a small fridge, this would be most appreciated. But it wasn’t a hit or miss for me.

A beautiful cozy hotel at a great location, right next to the Promenade and the edge of Old Town. Helpful and polite staff and spotlessly clean rooms. The water fountain on each floor is a blessing, and so is the variety of options at Breakfast. I asked for a room with twin beds and got it, though I wish I had a better view. The beds are super comfortable- loved it.
The breakfast has a good variety but it is pricey at 19 Euros per head. I also wish there was a facility of some snacks / tea or coffee after breakfast hours. Maybe even through a vending machine at the restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic location. I wanted to be close to the sea and the city center, and this hotel delivered on both. The hotel was impeccably clean, though the elevator could use some renovation. The rooms were stylish and clean. However, staying on the first floor was a bit unpleasant as the noise from the breakfast preparation area started around 6 AM, which was quite disruptive. The air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was really nice, with large towels. The shower was modern and clean. The breakfast room, which can also be used as a lounge during the day, is lovely, with beautiful light and a nice view. The view of the reception area, however, is a bit cramped, tucked away in a corner, and doesn't make a great first impression. The staff deserves better working conditions! Overall, I was very satisfied and with the excellent price-to-quality ratio, I won't be looking for another hotel in Nice, where I regularly return.
The Nice Jazz Festival was taking place in the park across the street. It was an amazing event, and I had tickets myself. However, for those who don't enjoy such loud music until midnight, it would be fair to mention on the hotel's website that this event is happening during the specified dates.

Superb mattress, room cleanliness and super fresh decor. Lovely garden view. Excellent quiet and easy to use heating controls. Slept really well. Wonderful location for promenade, market Cour Saleya and the restaurants there.
Not dislike but could do a bit better to make perfect... Cardboard cups and cardboard glasses in the room and bathroom - staff were helpful when asked for glass, but it made the room feel a bit cheap. Very small lobby and no bar. Smart TV but with no internet Smart features so nothing for English guests at all. Would be good to be able to use your own Netflix account if on a longer stay.

The decor was all impressively fresh and modern. Our room had a balcony ,with a small table and chairs , from which we had a sea view. The bathroom was well appointed and had a great shower. Staff on reception desk were welcoming & friendly.
The reception area is extremely small and cramped when people are coming & going. There is no restricted access to entry late at night but the reception desk was always unattended when we came back to the hotel 3 nights running. This is quite a security concern. The hotel has absolutely no facilities other than reception desk but I guess that's why it's so reasonably priced for such an otherwise excellent hotel.

My spouse and I had the chance to stay at this hotel for four days. The hotel’s location was absolutely excellent. From the airport, we simply took bus line +12 and got off right in front of the hotel, and the same on the way back. We didn’t opt for breakfast because the hotel’s location was so convenient that we could try a new café every day. If you use the tram, it’s a 7-minute ride to the train station, or a 20-minute walk. Our room faced the sea with an amazing view and had a great balcony. Most importantly, the room was clean, spacious, and unlike most European hotels, it was quite large. The staff were kind, respectful, and helpful.
