Room was so spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and modern, and the shower was amazing! The bed and sheets were very comfortable. Location was great; felt very safe, easy to walk everywhere. It was a perfect, spacious room in a fantastic location. We only had to go up a few flights of stairs (being on the 2nd floor), but I can imagine lots of bags up to the 5th floor would be tough.

Our room had a terrible smell of smoke. It was really disruptive, our clothes all smelled like smoke, and it actually woke us up in the morning. We thought it was being vented in from outside and we did not want to complain, especially since smoking is more widely accepted in France . But on the last day, the staff asked if we were smoking in our room! So obviously somebody in one of the rooms right around us was smoking; we regret not saying anything earlier. Bottom line: tell the staff if you are getting lots of smoke smells in your room!

Location was fantastic, the room was clean and spacious. The view was great too! The location was our favorite part about this accommodation. Really enjoyed our stay!

To be fair, we knew from the reviews that there are many steps to climb and booked it anyway. Therefore, this is not the fault of the accommodation, but my reflection on my choice. I did not like climbing more than 2 or 3 levels and as such it discouraged me to go back and rest within the day. We told the female staff that our room did not have a hairdryer despite checking all the drawers and shelves. She told us that we probably did not search carefully, instead of informing us that they will look into it. Would have appreciated better phrasing.

Loved the clean modern open plan room with hammam bathroom. The bed was very comfortable The steam room was great after a full on day of sightseeing. The hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the city with easy access to public transport. There are lots of restaurants in the streets around the hotel. It was a quiet area too. You couldn’t hear any street noise in the rooms. Really recommend this hotel. We will be back.

I suppose the stairs may not be for everyone but we knew that before booking. We were on the fourth floor.

I chose to stay at Le Dortoir Boutique Suites due to the location and I can confirm it doesn’t disappoint! We stayed on the 5th Floor (room 503) and had a balcony overlooking the square and a nice view of the city and mountains in the background. We were able to leave our suitcases at the office as we arrived before our room was ready to check in and were lucky enough for the man at the desk to carry our suitcase up to our room! Thank you once again!! The room itself was really bright and spacious, very clean with new towels everyday. The only thing I am marking the room down for is that I wish the shower screen had frosted glass as was in the room. Otherwise I would recommend staying here if you are not afraid to climb a few steps ;)

The rooms are excellent, featuring a superb shower and bathtub. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Old Nice, close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping stores.

While clearly indicated in the description, the stairs can be a challenge, especially when carrying many bags. During our stay, the staff wasn't very helpful, and we experienced an issue with the hot water suddenly stopping, which took a while to be fixed—not an ideal situation in the middle of winter.

The suite was exceptional, staff were extremely friendly and the location made it easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Bed was very comfortable and the main living area was a nice addition to use when in the room.

The only issue we had was finding the entrance to the building. It’s not sign posted so spent about 10-15 minutes working it out until someone local pointed it out to us. However, once you know where the door is it’s quite nice to have a secluded entrance and it be hidden in plain sight.

Brilliant stay. Check in and check outs were really straightforward. We liked that the rooms were accessed using a code, rather than a key or card. Just meant there was one less thing for us to lose! The location was the highlight for us. The hotel is located very close to the main tourist areas in Nice; around 2 minutes from the Massena, 5 minutes from Old Town and 2 minutes from the beach. You couldn’t possibly stay any closer to all of the main areas! Whilst being really close, the hotel was not noisy at all which we were really impressed with. This also made it very easy for us to get around on foot. Rooms were very modern and airy, with a great air con system that we used everyday we were there. The facilities in the room were also great, in particular the shower in the rooms are brilliant. Amazing value for money for the quality of the rooms and the very central location. Couldn’t fault this hotel at all.

Be aware that there is no lift in this hotel. The rooms are located on the 2nd-5th floor of the building and can only be accessed by a set of stairs. This is no problem as they are not particularly steep, but if you have limited mobility, it could potentially be very uncomfortable to walk up these stairs everyday. Definitely don’t let this put you off as the hotel was thoroughly worth it!

Extremely clean, spacious, perfect location

Everything was amazing! The location was perfect, close to everything along with luxury stores and restaurants, it was amazing and we had such an amazing experience with the staff - very helpful and checked us in and even helped with our bags, the room was always clean and up to date just like the images, only thing was that if you’re travelling with 2 or more bags you’re going to struggle as it a flight of stairs before your unit.

Would’ve been great if there was a lift, as stairs to the 3/4th floor is far.

-beautiful: LOVED my room. Both modern and classic, well kept, very clean. Had my own terrace which I spent the evening on, enjoying the perfect south of france weather -location: great location. Close to the promenade/beach clubs, close to a bunch of restaurants, a 10 minute walk from the old town and famous market -people: the people who work there were very sweet and accommodating

-no elevator: I didn’t mind as the office gentleman carried my bag up when I arrived. I believe there are only 5 floors so any room should be fine without elevator. I stayed on the 4th floor and was a bit winded after a day exploring and swimming in the sun but again it wasn’t a substantial issue -pillows: a bit too squishy for my liking. I’d advise to bring your own if you, like me, are particular about that
