Hôtel de la Place des Alpes

Room was a decent size with very comfy bed. Toiletries and a decent hairdryer supplied in the room.Very clean. Close to metro station so easy to get to city centre. Staff were all lovely, even tried to help me with my terrible French. They did speak English though.

The area is pretty dead in the evening, although there are a couple of places close by to eat. The toilet and shower are very compact, didn't bother us, but may be difficult for others. You can hear noise from other rooms, but generally a quiet stay.

The people that work here were so nice to me, they helped with everything. There is a really good bakery/pastry shop next to it. It is close to good restaurants, and to Metro and bus stops. My room was really clean and the bed was comfy. It is in a safe neighborhood. After check-out you can leave your suitcase there so you don't have to bring it with you through the city.

Walls are way too thin. I could hear everything, every step of people in the hallway and in rooms next to mine.

Friendly and courteous staff. Conveniently located just a few steps from one of the major metro stations in Paris. Plenty of bus stops nearby too. Felt safe to walk around at night, even late. Nice little restaurants in the area. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The safe and the hairdryer were a welcome plus. Multiple plugs in the room to charge phones/laptops. Great value for money. I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to book again on my next trip to Paris.

Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly with lots of advice and recommendations, including maps and brochures. The room was small and compact, but comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Lovely view from the balcony and with public transport (bus and metro) really close, plus lots of good places to eat. Certainly somewhere we would stay again - great value for the price.

A little tricky in the toilet, shower and lift for a person of bigger build, and the sound travelled between rooms and floors very easily. Breakfast was a little disappointing for the cost.

The managers and employees were very forthcoming, service-minded and generally extraordinarily nice people - we had a few pleasant chats! The room was fresh, clean and made up every day. It faced the back-yard, so it was both very quiet and kept relatively cool during the heatwave. The adjoining bathroom was small but well-functioning. Although the hotel (thankfully) is not dead-centre Paris, it is well situated close to the metro at Place d'Italie (the line services Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord directly) and only a 10 min walk from Rue de Mouffetard. All in all I would definitely recommend staying here. Nice, clean, safe and good value for money!

Good value for money. Location is good. 3 metro lines connect every tourist spots in Paris are very close to this hotel. The building is not good in condition and very old. but very clean and well equipped. And the staffs are very welcoming.

You can hear everything in this hotel cause the walls of the room are too thin. Somewhat it depends on your neighbours, but it is true that the building is vulnerable to noise.

The staff were helpful, with a sense of humour. The room was pleasant for the final day of my trip, and there was a good view from the top floor, and a small balcony. Shower worked fine. The breakfast was a small buffet, but I did get enough. There is a handy Italian restaurant next door so I did not need to go far to eat. I chose the hotel because it was not too far to walk from Austerlitz station, and a single metro journey to Gare du Nord. Place de l’Italie seems a lively and fairly safe part of Paris.

Most hotels provide a kettle in the bedroom, but not here.

Very friendly staff in reception and breakfast, new towels and cleaning everyday, warm water always, hair dryer, close to station, comfortable bed. Generally amazing, would visit again!!

The breakfast isn't that rich for its price, I would prefer if they had some ham and cheese for the perfect croissant and bread they serve but that's maybe France's cultural breakfast. Still pretty great but personally I don't agree with the price. (I could be wrong)

Nice and clean with a balcony on the 5th floor. Good location about 5 mins from metro station. Quite convenient for reaching to central. Reception the lady and gentlemen were also kind. Will come back for next stay too. Merci!
