The hotel is very close to the metro (subway) and it is located in a nice area, with small markets, bakeries, restaurants and shops nearby. Friendly people at the reception. You can fully open the two windows in the room and the one in the bathroom, which is uncommon in most hotels I've been to; that was great! I arrived before check-in time, and was able to leave my bags at the reception. Considering that it is a 1-star hotel, it exceeded my expectations!

The place where you put and adjust the height and inclination of the shower was broken. Also, the door of the shower was not properly working (it was a little bent), so a part of it, at the bottom, would always be open. Very pricy for a 1-star hotel (although it was during the Olympics, so there was probably an overcharge because of that).

Clean, comfortable room with bathroom. Nice hotel staff. Good localization with underground nearby. I would recommend despite the cons.

Poor wifi connection. Sometimes it suddenly stopped working and we had to use our own internet. Breakfast was also really disappointing. Wouldn't recommend buying breakfast for the whole stay. It's better to go to great bakery nearby and buy yourself some fresh bread or croissant.

Bathroom was very small, take a €65 EURO deposit on your card. This is returned when you leave but isn't mentioned anywhere.

The location is incredible! it’s next to the hub station of three different lines and on a silent street. The staff is just incredibly friendly and helpful! we were in a superior room, it was nothing special, but clean, big enough (for Paris) and had everything you need.

it would be great if there were normal blankets, not the woolen one on top of the bed linen. At night it was a bit too cold under it and out of hygienic reasons.

The reception is not open 24 hours a day. I threw the keys in the box where the administrator showed it. The deposit of 88 euros has not been returned for a week.

I don't know where all the negative reviews come from. The staff were super helpful and kind. My room was very clean and cozy. The bed was the comfiest bed I have slept in abroad in a long time. The location was by far the best. I had no issues. I've read some people don't like the tiny bathroom. It was tiny, but I'm used to staying in hostels and that's the usual size of hostel bathrooms, so this wasn't an issue for me.

The only thing I'd have to complain about was the staircase. I was lucky to be only one floor up from the ground. But the stairs were super skinny, and no light was in the stairwell or hallway. So if you're a drinker and you come back drunk, be careful. Or be careful in general. If you have lots of luggage, know there is also no elevator.

We stayed in room 10C for six nights in June. It was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hotel felt very secure and was in a nice area with excellent transport links and good facilities very close by. All the staff were very kind and friendly and we saw them being very helpful with other guests too. For the same price in Paris I think it is impossible / extremely difficult to find anything better than Hotel Roussillon so I would just stay here if it's available. Six nights is a fairly long stay for a city holiday and this hotel was a great choice. For dining out I would definitely recommend Au Petit Bistro on Rue Mouffetard....it's a nice fifteen minute walk or 2 short stops on the metro. The food on the fixed menu is brilliant value for money.

Would be unfair to mention anything small......it was all really good.

We were pleasantly surprised! The host was very welcoming and the rooms were nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was complementary coffee and tea. The location -even though far from the main tourist attractions- was really convenient due to the fact that there was a metro station 2 mins away with lines leading to the Louvre, Eiffel tower etc. The process with the money we pay as guarantee for damage was really easy actually.

There was hardly any sound insulation so sometimes when the guests on the adjacent room entered or left we would hear it all. One of the two towels came a little ripped but that’s hardly an issue.

Impeccable clean, very hospitable, friendly and incredibly helpful staff, quick and efficient check in, the possibility to leave the luggage after check out and foremost the good feeling at the owners/staff really care about. It is indeed amazing for such small place and unusually nowadays. The most quiet location of hotels I experienced in Paris despite just two steps of shops, restaurants, transport means. I am a poor sleeper, so I was very happy to have it quiet in the night and be able to make it darker with good curtains in the room. I appreciated a lot not only to have a fridge, a kettle and some coffee and tea in the room, but real big cups☺️.

Room was clean and adequate, and kitchenette was suitable for cooking basic meals. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good for public transport to the rest of the city, and also walking distance to places like the Latin Quarter and Jardin des Plantes. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and a big Carrefour in the shopping centre across the road. I would choose this hotel again if I was in Paris for a few nights.

There were a few surprising omissions in the kitchen equipment - glasses, corkscrew, kitchen knives, coffee filter holder. You would think that with the French love of wine the first two would be provided!! I found myself having to improvise, buy a couple of small items of equipment, and I was glad I had taken my penknife!
