I liked the room - it was a good size, clean with everything I was expecting. I had a courtyard view which I had requested for peace and quiet so I don't know what the street side rooms were like for noise. The area was much quieter after midnight anyway. Location is very close to a metro station but it's easy to walk up to Jaures to be better connected. The staff were excellent and tolerated my french (they do speak English, too). The breakfast was lovely, with the option to eat outside in the courtyard.

This was nothing to do with the hotel, but as a lone female, I was approached by men in the area on three occasions asking if I was married etc. which I didn't appreciate - I just wanted to visit Paris, I wasn't there for a dating experience. I found that a little intrusive.

Absolutely excellent working team: Iana impressed my by her super attitude and professional knowledge and efficiency! The breakfast team is also very good! The location is very ideal: right by the metro and close to the railway station.

Nothing, but if some improvement could be done, it would certainly be better. For example: -The TV could be higher to avoid accident: we bumped into it twice without knowing, just because the room is small. -If solid-material cups/glasses cannot be provided, then pls leave several more paper cups for the convenience: guests are very probably using cups not only once daily. -The breakfast fruit part is good to look at, but not practical enough: I only need half of the avocado, but had to take the whole one. So is to apples(know it’s difficult to cut them into halves. Use plastic to wraps)?

The location is great. Metro station, good and not overpriced gastronomy are nearby. The neighboorhoud seems to be quite authentic and not focused on tourists. The personal was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant recommendation was great and even when we finished our breaktfast after the official breakfast time people were relaxed. The breakfast is for the price ok. The room was small and simple, but sufficient as we were away most of the time anyway. It was clean and the bed was alright.

Although the hotel is not located at a main road, it is still busy and noise out there, even at night time (Paris never sleeps, I think). We woke up regularly during the night and also early in the morning because other guests did not manage to close their room doors quitely (not the hotels fault). Even ear plugs did not help too much. We are used to sleep in a very quiet neighboorhood at home, maybe we are just not used to a certain noise level.

It’s was a lovely hotel and the staff was really nice. The hotel is still being renovated but it seems to be almost done…

The renovation itself was not an issue except for the one day we decided to sleep in a bit longer, we were woken up by drilling sounds coming from a room next or near ours…. I understand if they need to do work but at least knock a few minutes before and give us a heads up so we can get ready and leave before all the noise started. It’s was overwhelmingly loud as we tried to get dressed and leave just to get away from the noise. Also, I don’t know who or how they prepared the scrambled eggs but every morning it was served dried and crusty and pretty much inedible.

The staff were lovely, very helpful and very friendly, and spoke multiple languages. Very handy location for the canal and easy access to many different public transport links. Rooms newly painted, and very tidy bathrooms. The windows could be opened which was nice and you don't get that in some hotels!

The rooms could do with having a small bar fridge in them. The ventilation/heating system is obviously quite old and if someone in another room nearby smokes (even though it's a non-snoking hotel) it comes through the air vent into your room - but to be fair when I raised this with the staff they were very helpful and found me a new room immediately so they are doing all they can, but something to bear in mind if you are sensitive to air quality and looking for a place to stay

Excellent stay in Paris near the Gare de l'Est & Gare du Nord Train Stations. Easy metro station with ticket machines & attendant for tickets/ help across the street from the hotel. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. Very clean hotel! Spacious & well planned rooms for a stay in Paris along with comfortable bed & pillows. Loved the bar soup grinders in the bathrooms. Breakfast has a nice spread of choice in a comfortable sunny room or outdoor garden patio. Secure luggage hold room while you are checked in for your stay or even after check out before leaving the city. Safe neighborhood with restaurants, bakeries & shops nearby. Street noise is typical with traffic & loud people. Bring earplugs if needed. After many visits to Paris, this was one of our best stays within the city at a reasonable price.

Nothing could be better.

Quiet comfortable room very close to the north and east stations. - Walking distance to gare de l'est and gare du nord. - Clean, the little space is made best use of. - Friendly staff with 24h reception. - Good mattress. - Good bakery just across the street.

Small room with some technical deficiencies - The room was small, so you always need to shift your stuff around. - Only one place for a suitcase. - Bathroom had several flaws: the socket came fully out of the wall when you pulled the plug, loose shower holder, no toilet paper holder at all.

Near a metro so very handy, lots of cafes and restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Some hanging space for clothes and a kettle. Plenty of sockets for rechargeable items. Air con was good and could be turned off if needed.

Beds were quite hard and only had duvets/donnas so couldn't just sleep with a sheet. We prefer a window open for fresh air overnight but then mosquitoes came in. Room space is a little small but it is understandable in this city. Bath/shower combination might not suit anyone with mobility issues.

Great room for solo traveller, good value for money, great breakfast and very inexpensive, lovely big bathroom which was so nice after travelling for 3+ weeks. Very comfortable bed. Staff on the desk were friendly and helpful, especially when I came in tired and forgot to address them in French and then felt rude. Everything you need is nearby, grocers, laundromat, pharmacy, takeaway shops and restaurants, Metro on the doorstep and short walk to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar and other trains

While being very conveniently located, the area can be a little rough at night, especially around Gare du Nord. I was conscious of trying to get back to the hotel before it got late. The room was spotlessly clean and had basic facilities to make tea, coffee etc but no mugs which I found strange - only very small paper cups. I asked for some downstairs and was able to take them up but they would be great in the room itself.

A very affordable hotel with a modern look inside. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was a decent one, but various. The room was very clean.

The noise. The rooms have bad windows, it's like you sleep with the open window. The cold come through the window, and we had to stay with the AC on heat all the time (the only source of heating). We've bought earplugs in order to sleep well. Also, the walls are very tiny, and you hear all the noises in the other rooms. No garbage except the very little one from the bathroom.
