Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, 5 minutes' walk from the Métro station and 20min to the Tour Eiffel. Nice bistros and cafés around, but quiet area.

Next room neighbours leaving at 7am were quite noisy so bring earplugs if you have a light sleep! Good that there was an extra blanket as it was rather cold in Paris.

Friendly staff who spoke excellent English and made us feel really welcome. Great location, a short walk from the metro but as we love walking we managed to see most attractions on foot (although this does involve a lot of walking!). The room was small but perfect for our needs and very clean. I felt this was really good value for money for a central location. A small continental breakfast is available as extra which is handy if you're travelling with two hungry teenagers as I was. We would definitely stay here again if going back to Paris.

Worth noting that this is a small hotel so dinner or lunch options aren't available. This wasn't a problem to us as we were always out exploring and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and take-aways near by.

The location was perfect for us - close to the fabulous Cafe Blomet where we had breakfast every day (thoroughly recommended), a Metro station and a range of other facilities. The staff were always attention and helpful, the room was cleaned daily. We had a balcony with a fabulous view of the Tour d'Eiffel and local area. Although the room was small, it was all we needed.

The bathroom door was just a sliding door that didn't close properly and so gave limited privacy which wasn't great - it's not a hotel I'd choose at the start of a new relationship, if you know what I mean...A bit more shelving in the bathroom would have been good too.

Great location, close to many metro lines. Safe neighborhood. Extremely clean rooms.

The breakfast has good pastries, but it has little variety of products. Eating exactly the same thing for 4 straight mornings is monotonous. Furthermore, I think that bringing a baguette, a pain au chocolat and a croissant for every person facilitates food waste (I for instance cannot eat all these in the morning), so maybe letting guests pick these as well from the buffet at their own will is a better choice.

This is a typical Paris hotel room which in general are very small compared to USA. It was in a residential area and we felt very safe walking around. We LOVED the cafe across the street. We ate breakfast there every morning almost and had drinks at night. There were other cafes a block or two up the street. There is a metro stop, bus stop, grocery store and ATM two blocks away. The desk is manned 24 hrs a day which is nice as you turned your key in when you left and picked it back up when you returned. They were helpful with providing an iron. We took ubers everywhere and only had an issue on the weekend, early trying to get one so we walked up two blocks to the busier street and was able to get one. The value for the hotel was very good for what we wanted. The desk staff gave us some croissants in the morning. The hotel has a small elevator which was very helpful. The air conditioning worked well. Loved the water pressure in the shower.

We didn't choose to have the breakfast because the cafe across the street, for us was the better option but others who were staying there had it. You had to let them know the night before. There is really nothing we didn't like about our stay. If I had to nit pick- there weren't any washcloths but we just used the larger hand towels and didn't ask for any. The hotel desk people were very nice. I would recommend this location if you want an affordable, clean, safe place to stay.

This is one of those wonderful charming old-style buildings very near the UNESCO headquarters (and maybe 20 minutes walk from the eiffel tower) with a terrific friendly local Stübl across the street (open 7am-midnight), though the breakfast in the hotel is surprisingly nice too, terrific baked goods. For 2 euro less you can get better tea & orange juice across the street but no pain chocolate and slightly inferior croissant, for 2 euro more you can get eggs. The wifi was spectacularly fast, there was a cute ikea foldout desk that was very useful, though the stool for sitting on was not terribly comfortable for long periods of work, lacking a back. Shower only, no bath tub, at least in my room. I would definitely consider coming back the next time I visit UNESCO or anything else around there.

It's a very quiet street and they gave me the hof / courtyard side, but the walls between rooms are not thick so your experience depends on your neighbours. I slept well most of the nights but Thursday there was some loud noise actually maybe outside at 4am. Also, it's a non smoking hotel but this doesn't seem to be enforced, smoke came into my room. The first day the heat in the room was turned off and the temperature said it was 18 but it seemed fine to me, probably more like 21C, but the second day they'd turned it up to what was said to be 22C but was really insanely warm and I had to open the windows, which is a waste of the planet and a gift to Putin...

Bed was confortable and room had natural light. Place was super clean. I had an electric kettle so I could make some tea. Location seemed nice and safe to walk at night.

No small fridge in the room. I asked the receptionist to call a taxi for me and he didn't told me this would cost 7 extra euros. I found out after the taxi dropped me on the train station. I think he should of told me. :(

Staff were very nice at the reception. The hotel is really good, for Paris standards, clean and the rooms and bathrooms have been recently renovated. Only issue was with the neighbors, they were really loud. The location is really convenient, as you have a metro station only a few hundred meters away, line12, which takes you to the main points of interest. I would go back in the future.

Ladies staying in the next room.

The location was convenient. You could see the Eiffel Tower in the distance from outside the front door. The beds were comfortable and the power in the shower was excellent. It was difficult to find a room (for good value) with three single beds for three people in Paris, a lot were a double and single but this had three single beds which suited our needs.

The hotel staff did not have good English so it was difficult to ask about anything. The rooms were very small, and had no mirror (other than the bathroom). However, we were out all day and so overall it suited our needs.

Often Paris hotels in this area and price category are in urgent need of a renovation or have another downside, but l'Amiral is quite a nice place. Sure, rooms are rather small, but they fulfil the needs. Breakfast is nothing special but decent, which is also not a given in Paris, and the baguettes and croissants are of the perfect Parisian type. The hotel is not really in a central street, but close enough to some nice restaurants and to the metro stations. Staff was very helpful.

Large suitcases (which we don't bring) would be a nuisance in both the elevator and the room. The Paris tourist tax that for some reason cannot be included in the bill you pay online is odd. And bathrooms with bath tub (and without separate showers) should be a thing from the past.
