This was a lovely little hotel in the heart of Montparnasse. Don’t be put off by it only having a 3-star rating - it’s very comfortable, neat and clean and offers a great breakfast. I’ve paid twice as much for hotel rooms in the posher parts of Paris and this was just as good. Book a room with a terrace/balcony - the rooms are small (like everywhere in Paris) and the balcony makes it feel that little bit bigger. Plus it’s great having a drink and watching the world go by below. All the staff were very friendly too. Note that the elevator is tiny - it really only fits two people (or one plus a suitcase). But you’re out all day anyway so it really doesn’t matter!

1) Location - easy access to Montparnasse station (both Metro and SNCF (destinations such as Versailles and Rennes (base for Mont-Saint-michel) 2) Working staff - so friendly and kind. We saw 4 members. they are all the same! 3) Free coffee & tea service at lobby - 6 till midnight using Nespresso machine. 4) “Honesty bar” - the hotel has wine seller and a series of liquors in stock at lobby. It is on a self service basis with no meal service. There is a good selection of wines from EUR7.00/glass. Guests can bring food by their own.

1) no bathtub - at least for 2) small room - It is in Paris downtown center so can’t blame it. enough for sleeping 3) A bit costly - again. it’s in Montparnasse. but would love this hotel more if room rate would be EUR20-30 lower!

I liked the location, most staff were friendly, but some were rude. We booked the Junior Suite which in Paris, is equivalent to a regular sized hotel room. Breakfast was okay, but not great. Considering it was Paris, it was good. Anywhere else I probably wouldn't been as lenient. I liked the free coffee available to guests.

I wish there was brioche at breakfast. The cleaning was inconsistent. Some days we wouldn't get towels, other days we wouldn't get soap. The toilet was dirty upon arrival. I don't like how the Junior Suite is advertised with a garden/courtyard view. There are 5 Junior Suites and only 2 of them are courtyard view, making the other 3 susceptible to street noise. With lots of construction in the city it was noisy day and night with the street view. I didn't like the single small elevator, but it's Paris and space is confined. Seemed expensive all things considered, but again, it's Paris of course it's going to be expensive.

Location, low-key elegant decor

Price: it went up over 40% from 2 years ago, and it’s difficult to see what has changed to justify this. I know it’s inflation, but I’d be curious to know what costs have increased 40% in 2 years, and how much they count in percentage of the operating cost of a room. Even if it’s the same everywhere in Paris, it doesn’t wipe away my suspicion that hotel companies somehow are squeezing clients. Price increases happen everywhere in Paris after renovations that are not upgrading the hotels quality, but merely ‘repairing’, ie, restoring the original quality before wear and tear… To me it smells a bit like ‘price gauging’ at the gas pump after a hurricane…

Pleasant conditions and friendly, helpful woman at the desk during the day (she recommended a restaurant that my niece, my grandson and I much enjoyed after we had been having difficulties choosing one).

For breakfast, not having coffee brewed in a large batch and then served in a large carafe. I myself do not drink espresso. And the coffee called Americano which, as far as I know is an espresso diluted with hot water, is something I will not drink due to its poor taste. About one in three hotels on our French visit had it the way I prefer and I much enjoyed and appreciated it because good coffee is something I value with breakfast.

Very nice and agreeable hotel. The room has a good size (I got a room with a small balcony and a view of the street, which was really pleasant—the noise from the street is well blocked by the windows), with a comfortable bed; and amenities are replaced on a daily basis. The room has tea, instant coffee, milk, and sugar available, and also, bottles of water. There are metro stations as well as bus stations nearby. They have an honesty bar, a rather enjoyable space to sit back while sipping a glass of wine and reading a book.

Very good location, short walk to two major Metro lines leading straight to tourist places like Eiffel tower, Notre Dame and Louvre. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and the interior design was calming. Being on 5th floor it was quiet, windows block any outside noise very well. Tea and instant coffee available in the room was resupplied daily. Breakfast had hams, cheese, sausages, croissants, jams, honey, scrambled eggs, tea and coffee, juice, cereals. Resupplied through whole breakfast time window.

The beds were too narrow, making me wake up in the night, also there was a bit of noise from other rooms doors closing, but that wasnt a big deal. Fix the beds and you got a 10 from me ;)

The Hotel is very classy very modern and it’s like a boutique hotel very fancy. Very close to 2 Metro stations and also the train at the Montparnasse. You have a Lot of restaurants and bars in the radius of 400 meters from the hotel + supermarket + wine shop + fish shop + meat shop + cheese shop + boulangerie and patisserie. So you got covered with everything you need.

Because of all those restaurants and shops I mentioned you have a lot of noise in the morning from the tracks and garbage truck. We stayed on the 5th floor and didn’t hear all the noise so much, but I’m sure the floors down stairs hear it well. We stayed for 1 week and they didn’t change our bed shits.

After a tiresome Eurostar journey from LDN, we were given room57 - twin bedded with a small balcony on the 5th floor which overlooked the street. Loads of shops, eateries in the vacinity too. Very happy with the amenities in room, kettle, safe, mini fridge. Not much storage for bags so bring a slimline suitcase that can fit under the bed. Small wardrobe. Great clean shower facility with lots of soap etc. Art deco style. Full buffet style breakfast serving muesli, hot eggs, bacon & sausages, hams, fromage, yogurt and all the tea & coffee you could muster. This lounge area served as a bar/relaxing area in the day - where you could help yourself to hot drinks - really handy - plus a 'honesty' bar was in operation where you could have wine and spirits and then log it to your room account.

Having to leave and say goodbye..........

It was a super nice stay! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are cleaned every day, the location is perfect for those who prefer to live on the left side of the river. Just nearby you have a metro station if you need, a very nice Boulangerie and quite a few restaurants. We had a room with a little french balcony with the view of the street and it wasn’t noisy whatsoever. I really like those small hotels so for my next trip to Paris I definitely know a place to stay in!

Even though that the floors are carpeted it was a bit cold without slippers, especially in the bathroom.
