A place where you can really enjoy the silence, beautiful nature, clean air and excellent cuisine. Comfortable clean rooms, homely atmosphere, hospitable polite and responsive staff. Here is a great opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life and be filled with the quiet little joys of a simple leisurely life - a pleasant conversation in the fresh air, the smell of pine needles and flowers, a glass of wine and a variety of flavors of deliciously prepared dishes.

Setting is peaceful. Rooms have balconies. Very laid back atmosphere and staff. There is a choice of gastronomic or bistro menus. The lack of air conditioning was not a negative due to the elevation, and they did have fans.
The hilltop town has no shops, and the posted view of town is not accessible. Food for dinner is pricey, and breakfast was overall disappointing. Breakfast was advertised from 8:30 to 10:30, but at 8:45 there was only self-serve coffee, and self serve a small bowl of cherries and one type of cheese. This was followed by a basket of croissants and bread, a small glass of fresh pressed orange juice, and a bowl of yogurt with a few fruits. Seven tables were set. Although 56 euros for four wasn’t expensive, it would have been nice to have choices. A wall mount for the shower head would have been a big plus.

We loved the authenticity and old-fashioned style of the place. We loved the feeling of being high and very remote in the mountains yet very close to cities like Nice and Monaco. It feels like a special place. The owners are proud of the place and they love to share it's history and its special stories.
The rooms were a bit hot in de middle of the summer. The way up to the parking lot takes some driving skill. There are no shops in the town (but we were able to make a picnic at the hotel for our hike)

We chose a nice room with valley view and you can see the village from the room. It´s s beautiful and the room has a lot of character. Don´t expect a boring hotel chain room but a room well in line with an "auberge" a little off the beaten track. The bath room has been completely modernized. Very functional and modern Nice is 30 mn away with a good road. very nice pedestrian walks to do on well signaled trails. Food is amazing, and the breakfast is also served only with fresh products and very generous. David was very friendly and oriented us towards a beautiful place to go to Midnight Mass for Christmas.
There is nothing not to like. This is a beautiful setting in the "arriere pays" of Nice. If I had to put something, I would say the wifi server requires often to reconnect.

The place had a beautiful location on the top of the village. Nice and clean room with exceptional views. The staff was very friendly and treated (as far as we could see) the other guests very well. The hotel seemed professionally run. And the meals we had were very good
A long walk or steep drive to other shops. But that is also a part of the attraction

Location is absolutely fantastic! Small village at the top of the mountain next to the hotel is something out of the fairytale, we absolutely loved it! The hotel itself looks like the time have stopped at the start of the 20th century, clean and cosy and although we had a problem with the terrace door it was sorted quickly by the manager, first class service and good food was also a bonus. Will defenitely stay again in the future if in the area as the views and place are absolutely spectacular.
This wasn't a problem for my partner as she's quite small but I'm 185cm (6.1') tall so could do with slightly bigger bed, but that's me being realy picky.

This stay went beyond all my expectations. Never have I met such warm, talented and kind people. I arrived with my grandmother from Nice. We wanted a peaceful and beautiful stay close to nature. We got more than that… we got the most delicious food from the restaurant, a room with a garden and an atmosphere you can’t find in many places in the world. The interior of the hotel was authentic French, antique and full of personality. I felt home the second I walked in. Give yourself this beautiful experience. I can't wait to return.

The view from our room was incredible, I just wish I had a little more time to enjoy it! The view while we ate dinner at the hotel was also great, and the food was good too.
In the heat of summer, our room desperately needed air conditioning. It must have been 90 degrees (32C) in our room for the whole night, and it was very very stuffy. This was when the high temperature for the day was 95 (35C).

The location and hotel are beautiful, a tranquil hideaway in the rocky hills with spectacular views across the valley. The view from the terrace, where you could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, was a treat, and so was the cuisine. Mateo and the excellent staff courteous available just made you feel at complete ease. We recomend the hotel, and it will surely be our chosen one on our next trip.

Hearty welcome and very friendly owners and staff all along. They really make you feel at home. Excellent cooking, both on and off the formal menu. Nice wine choices, David will recommend if you have doubts. Great views from the room balcony and from the restaurant terrace. Peillon village at 2 min walk is exceptional. Ample parking space on site.
Rooms are OK but could need some freshing up.
