Overall hotel facilities, even though pool was undergoing renovation and was closed.

The hotel itself is great but when checking out I tried to book a taxi for a few hours later and the concierge said it was almost impossible. He went on to explain how taxis in Monaco are terrible and don't show up even if booked. I couldn't believe it. But he then offered a private car, at 180 euros, compared to a taxi 110 euros. I had no alternative as there is no Uber either. Whether it is a Monaco problem, not having taxis, or a hotel specific problem, I can't tell, but it wasn't a great check out experience.

Very personable staff. The welcome drink and whole welcome experience. The room had beautiful views and was very comfortable. The evening entertainment with the jazz piano player.

The pool area was closed and they only informed us of this when we arrived. we had booked the hotel specifically for the pool area. They did accommodate us at another hotel for swimming but the extra transportation wasted a lot of our time. Also, the club sandwich was priced at €43 which is a bit outrageous in any hotel at that price. There was only one server serving drinks and one chef taking food orders so we waited a long time to order and receive food and drinks.

This is a special hotel in the heart of Monte-Carlo. It is family-owned and the staff were exceptional. Every single person we met was very friendly and welcoming. We had a small room but the bed was very large and really comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great but, be warned, the bar is expensive! The valet parking works well and and is reasonable value. Great location in the heart of the city but it's set back and very quiet. We have stayed in a few hotels in Monaco and this is now our favourite.

Hotel, restaurant, breakfast, location, staff - were just amazing!

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Monaco. The view from our very sophisticated and attractive room was of the Mediterranean Sea and the Casino. The hotel is elegant inside and out with friendly and very professional staff. The food and drinks were excellent, and the location is hard to beat. We highly recommend the Metropole and will undoubtedly stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel location was perfect, it was very close to the sea side and also 3 min walk to the Casino and restaurants, the staffs were helpful and welcoming, the decoration of lobby and restaurants in hotel were so pretty and luxury, my room was very clean and comfy with a nice small city view balcony, the hotel has very lovely terrace that breakfast is served there and I really enjoy sitting in this terrace while having my breakfast.

I believe the breakfast can be improved, the value of the breakfast is not like a 5 star hotel, It was limited for instance they served only scrambled eggs every day and it was not looking fresh and hot while all other 5 star hotels which I had been before had been served all different types of eggs and also they provided live cooking station that I think Metropole had missed this option, I think they need to do some changes and provide a better breakfast.

Luxurious hotel, very friendly and attentive staff. Great choice of breakfast, amazing pool area, great location just around the corner from the Casino Square.

Expensive but expected for the area and quality of service. Found the corridors from reception a little dark but true French style

Staff at the pool area were fantastic and made our downtime special As I was working during my stay the WiFi was excellent Location of the hotel is great as its so central to the harbor, beach and restaurants Plenty of choice at breakfast (not if you are vegan) and the staff attentive and professional

Being a vegan there was very little choice of food. Even though their menu stated items could be made vegan when we asked for this it was refused, and on the one dish they did (removing tuna and anchovies etc) full price for the dish was still charged with nothing extra added.
