The hosts (Bertrand, Sebastian, Kinga) were excellent, extremely patient, and knew the property at the back of their hands. We booked 2 of the 6 available rooms hence it was a very private and exclusive experience. We were also offered a free upgrade as we were traveling with a baby and they thought we could do with a bigger room. Bertrand gave us a private tour of the chateau, Sebastian offered us a nightcap of the vineyard’s first wine. Breakfast was a huge spread and Kinga was so kind enough to prepare a whole new meal when we told her one of our friends is vegan. The room stays included a wine tour and tasting as well which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thomas was an amazing guide and detailed in his explanations and very informative! He shared that they also do private events and weddings at the chateau. Despite our already married status, we were all very tempted to throw a second wedding there. 10/10 would visit again!

One of my most favorite hotel in the world! Really! Amazing quality chef/restaurant!! This chateau is a real MUSEUM! The artifacts it contains is shocking!! It has Napoleon and Josephines chairs amongst soo much more! Of course it's a beautiful property. It also has some nightlife BBQ events on certain night. Amazing staff! Maelle was magic for us. All the rooms are completely different. One room is ALL red! Might not be everyones taste but I plan to stay in that one next time! It's also one of the biggest. The room in the turret is the best room. Huge bathroom. There is also a little room that I wouldn't want to stay in. Honestly my favorite hotel in the world! Price is not bad for what you get.

Wish the bathtub had a holder for the shower nozzle. 😆 But it's also a multi color lighted jacuzzi! Don’t forget about trying that!

beautiful and relaxed setting. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast in the room was a delight. Bathroom was top notch. Great shower. Grounds and history are impressive. Take a glass of wine to the rooftop deck at sunset. Definitely would go back. Don’t hesitate to book.

Nothing (!) but have some suggestions about staying. We didn’t know to make tasting reservations and all tastings were sold out. They did give us a private tour of the cellar and cave at the last minute, which was very nice. There’s not good public transportation to the the hotel so rely on Uber. Unfortunately both our phones died while in Bordeaux so we took the tram to Pessac, which stranded us at an Irish bar there up until the bartender found us a ride with his friend for 20 Euro to go 5 minutes. It was late (walking not an option) and we were happy to pay him so no big deal, but just be aware that Uber is the best way to get to and from Bordeaux and charge your phones before leaving!

Exceptional stay in the beautiful castle.Everything plant to details . Château Pape Clément was great retreat on our twenty days France sight seeing road trip. From the moment of arriving we were gritted with the warmest welcome by David with a glas of vine .He explained in details the history of the place and showed us beautiful art collections. We stayed in the room with a view on the beautiful terrace and almost two thousand years old olive tree.In the evening we hade an freedom to wander and explore castle on our own , to see stable and vine seller ( thanks to Sebastian) . Diner and breakfast was all perfect to details ,compliment’s to the sheaf. Complementary we had very informative private vineyard tour with great choice of vine testing by Thomas

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast and diner served by very friendly people. At arrival we have been welcomed by David in such a warm way that we rarely experienced. He took the time and really did everything to make our arrival and stay pleasant. We visit many nice hotels, but David surpassed really all level. Thank you so much !!

everything from check in was like a fairy tale. the staff was amazing, showing attention to the minimum details, friendly profesional and extremely helpful. the grounds are amazing and one of the best thing was to have a picnic dinner in the terrace enjoying the wine from the Chateau everything was absolutely perfect! thanks to all the staff, specially David Who went above and beyond to make our stay a 5 star experience

This chateau would not be the same without David. One of the most heartwarming, passionate and loyal employees that one could ever have. The knowledge he possesses of the place and his desire to share this knowledge with guests is outstanding. He treats you like royalty and truly wants you to get everything out of your stay. David ensures that you know the real meaning behind this chateau and everything that it has to offer. David, you are incredible! The room itself was unbelievable. You feel like a true royalty. Such graceful decorations. I cannot put into words the beauty of this location.

The property is beautiful and holds a lot of history. We were welcomed with a glass of wine from the chateau which was appreciated. We had the l’Égrégoire room which was very generously sized with a wonderful ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. The turn down service was well appreciated and the room was very nice and warm, a little surprising with how big it is! We also did the complimentary visit and wine tasting, definitely worth doing!

The signage for hotel guests was lacking, it took us a while to figure out where the reception was and where we could park. Some of the furnishings (chairs, curtains) in our room looked like they needed some attention although this was purely aesthetically unpleasing, everything still functioned properly.

This property was simply marvelous. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. The Chateau is visually and architecturally stunning. It is breathtaking from every angle. The stained glass window above the stair well is magnificent. The grounds were incredibly manicured with the most majestic and ancient cedar tree in front which was visible from the window in our room. The olive trees are also incredible with one dating back to the year 195. The place is also a veritable museum inside. David whom we spent the most time with, was the most gracious and accommodating host. He gave us a tour of all the artwork including two stunning chandeliers, beautiful canvasses, antique furniture and more. Every other staff member we encountered was equally kind and helpful, but David stands above the rest. He just exuded passion about the property and was full of terrific suggestions. We booked a wine and cheese pairing during our stay which I highly recommend. The tour of the winemaking facilities that came with it was incredibly educational. Our guide was simply delightful. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Temperance room. It was absolutely gorgeous. The bed was enormous and fit for royalty. The bathroom however stole the show. Clearly recently remodeled it was huge and the shower was simply the best I’ve used anywhere on earth. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and comprehensive. Ours included coffee, fresh orange juice, a cheese and ham plate, fruit salad, bread with butter and jam and an omelette du fromage. We also ordered room service the night before which was also amazing.
