The location is PERFECT - facing the Cathedral you can't get much closer to the center than that! I love the faint sound of the cathedral bells in the room - and if you are equipped with earplugs they won't bother you at all. The hotel has a quirkiness about it that is quite charming - but don't book here if you pack big suitcases! There are winding stairs to get to the 1st floor where the rooms - and elevators - start!

Some rooms are VERY small and a challenge if you are a bit claustrophobic. Luckily all the windows are openable and the smell of bread in the morning very nice!

We went to Strasbourg for their famous Christmas markets. This hotel was prime location right outside the cathedral in the main square. The rooms were spacious and ours had 2 levels. with one of the beds on another level we weren’t in each other’s faces all the time. There was a water kettle provided with some coffee and tea which was nice. There was someone ready to carry your luggage to our room as there were a lot of stairs in this old building

There are alot of stairs (yes there is an elevator as well, but you still have to go up one flight first). If stairs bother you this may not be the place for you.

We checked in literally same day we booked, after horrible experience at Maison Kammerzell across from them. The reception was very pleasant, the room, though small was very comfortable and super clean. We were delighted they could accommodate us. Fabulous location. Breakfast buffet was ample. Fresh squeezed O.J., pastries, cold cuts and cheese and hot dishes. Very helpful front desk staff. Very secure luggage room to leave your belongings before and after using room. Would for sure recommend them and hope yo stay there again on another trip.

The room could have been a bit larger.

I have stayed in this hotel on and off for 20+Enjoya years. The rooms are small but functional, the breakfast fine as always and the location absolutely great in the opposite of Cathedrale, nothing has really changed. Somehow everything balances out and while it was never great, it has been reliable homely place in the heart of the city. Happy to report, will stay here next time as well.

this time the bathroom was really tiny, a tad too tiny and the windows as well, though I guess I never paid attention to that before. They are usually towards the Cathedrale and the bells wake you up in the morning, some might not like it, I love it. The place is not wheelchair friendly but if your movements are not challenged, well, what would the narrow staircases really do?

Had a great stay at Hotel Cathedrale. The best part of our stay was the location, right at the steps of the Notre-Dame of Strasburg. I highly recommend this hotel.

If you’re a light sleeper the bells of the cathedral might wake you up early in the morning but nothing earplugs can’t fix. Apart from this which is a bit out of the control of the hotel, everything was perfect.

Not much space especially for bags Old renovation especially carpeting which had spots Hair in the shower Lighting is cozy but not bright Safe-box in the room had tricky control so I simply didn't use it :)

Hotel in a historic building in a phantastic location; very clean; the view of the cathedral is spectacular! The hotel is in proximity to everything in the city centre. Staff are all very helpful.

Nothing significant! The room was a bit small ( but this comes with the historic building, so this is nothing to complain about). Outside the hotel it is quite noisy ( again, due to the location of the hotel, which you know beforehand).

The wonderful position in the city center. The friendly welcome. The great breakfast buffet. The view of the cathedral extraordinary from the bedroom window.

The bed was not a large bed. A bathroom trash can had not been emptied..and the toilet was not too safe because the seal on the edge was coming loose..risk of sitting and sweating the bowl falls??

the location is exceptional. value for money too. staff are very friendly. room very clean. old building adds more intimate feeling that you are living in an old historic city. love it!

at night sometimes people were yelling when they passed by. but i also heard the receptionist tried to calm them down immediately. nice gesture from the staff for caring

Our room was pretty small but with air conditioning, small bar and very clean. Stuff is very friendly. Our room wasn't in front of the Cathédrale so it was pretty quiet. Location is perfect!

The only thing what we didn't like is the fact that breakfast wasn't included in the price, even if we were using this Filter by looking for a room. 'breakfast included' stand by searching and at end it wasn't like that. However breakfast kosts 19€ by a person, what we think is too much. You can have 'french breakfast' in front of the hotel (small Caffè shop) for 10.5€ (coffee and pressed orange juice included). U can sit in front of a Cathédrale and have your breakfast for 10.5 €.
