The hotel was well placed for the Versailles Palace it took 10 mins to walk to the palace. The hotel was minutes away from a square of restaurants with a fantastic range of different types of cuisine so the lack of dining was totally acceptable and we also ate breakfast there after the first day. The market was there every day and the local food shops stayed open late every day so food was not a problem. Most of the staff were very helpful in many ways but rather dismissed our problems. We were lucky to be able to park in the carpark It would not have been so easy if we had to park in the street. There was a balcony door that opened up in to the car par so we were bale to have fresh air instead of the aircon in the evening. Air con worked well

We were booked in to a deluxe double but it was a twin bedded room. The room was not as big as expected There was supposed to be a fridge but ours was not working and it was fobbed off as more of an accessory than a usable item which meant the food we brought from the south went off because of the heat in the room. We tried to mention some of the faults but communication was hard. The leg on the dresser kept falling off. The loo flush had to be full as the small one would not stop running until the full was pushed a few times. The lamp on the side was broken. Breakfast was rather hit and miss. so we only ate there once. There was a lot of noise from the bathroom above which was a little distracting.

I researched a lot before booking here and was very happy with the stay. The hotel was no frills, but very pleasant. Walking distance to many restaurants and 10 min taxi ride to palace. Rooms were small but very efficiently designed so there was enough space to put everything. Rooms and hotel were very clean and well maintained. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was reasonably priced and great start to day. Very nice staff. Would stay here again.

The parking situation was challenging. Only 9 or so spots and the tightest parking job I’ve ever had to squeeze into (needed another person to help direct me). We eventually found a spot in front of hotel (was free parking on that street in Aug).

A standard three star hotel. Great location, comfortable rooms, efficient service. No bells or whistles. The room is on the small side, but has everything you need. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that.

The pillows weren't great. The parking area is small (first come first serve) and it was a bit of a job to find on street parking. We did after a few laps around the block, but note that it is expensive. We were luck to stay on a Sunday (free parking), but if it was any other day we would be looking at €30+ per day for on-street parking. The nearby underground parking location is a similar price.

Hotel was clean and had all the usual things you'd expect for a 3-star hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Location is really excellent if you plan to spend a few hours exploring the town. The Notre Dame market nearby is great and the Palace is easy walking distance. If coming by car, there is parking on-site but only for a few cars. Also, the parking is a bit tight so if you have a big car you might want to consider the garage nearby. We didn't try the breakfast so cannot really comment. But since we were just planning to have coffee and croissant the 16 Eur price per person seemed high. However, we found a nice pastry shop and bakery nearby (Antoinette Boulangerie) and that worked out well for us.

The rooms are a bit small but perhaps to be expected. We met another couple that complained about the rooms being noisy. We didn't have much trouble because we usually travel with ear plugs. But you will certainly hear noise from the room above you so I suppose that can be disturbing if the people above come in very late or wake up very early.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, towels were changed every day, room tidied too. Staff were very friendly. Brilliant location for Versailles, the palace is within walking distance. The hotel is central to Versailles, lots of shopping and restaurants very close by, just parked the car up for the 3 days we were there, perfect! Hotel is accessible too, with a small lift at street level, then a lift inside to all floors.

property has 9 parking spaces on a first come basis. Road and town car parking expensive. Not a negative but an observation. Best rooms overlook the old hospital. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable.

Location in amazing, very close to the Palace but also quiet. There was free parking in the street for the month of August, which was a great stroke of luck for us. The hotel was neat and clean and the staff wonderfully friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel was also very good.

The only material criticism worth mentioning is the room size, which was very small, As frequent travellers we encounter all sorts and are not terribly fussy but in this situation there was not enough room to open two suitcases and still move about with comfort. We managed, of course, and as a value proposition would still recommend the hotel, but it will work best for light travellers!

Fantastic Location! Walking distance to the Palace at Versailles! Great bed and the breakfast was wonderful - I could have eaten away the morning! Very typically small Paris hotel room but very comfortable! Nice bed, great shower (tiny bathroom!) and very quiet (YAY)!

Parking. The hotel was billed as having free parking - one of the reasons we chose this hotel. However, well after booking, we found that there were limited spots on a first come / first serve. Our flight was delayed for hours and hours so we had no spot to park after a very long and frustrating travel day. Either the hotel or booking.com should detail that there are only 9 spots of parking for more than 20 rooms in the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel des Lys. The staff was friendly and courteous. We arrived early and they held our bags until our rooms were available while we ventured around the Versailles area. They also arranged our cab for us when we left - which was great because we are a family of 5 and needed a bigger taxi. The people at reception spoke multiple languages - one spoke French, English, Arabic, Italian, and German. The hotel room was quaint, but it was clean. This hotel is close to a market, restaurants, bakeries, Chateau Versailles, and the train station. We ventured to the bakeries the prices were great and the pasteries delicious. We did not eat at the cafes, but the prices were similar to restaurants at the US. We ate a a small pizza place without the cafe ambiance, but inexpensive and close to the hotel, and loved that the pizza was similar to Flam Kuchen. We also found a grocery store close by and bought some fruit and drinks there.

I wished our rooms were on the same floor - but it was probably difficult to arrange for a room for 2 and a room for 3 close to each other. Our children our older so it worked perfectly fine, but our preference would have been to be on the same floor.

Location was perfect. Just round the corner were all the bars and restaurants on the square and the palace of Versailles is just 10 minute walk. The owner/ reception man was lovey. Polite and welcoming and he let us park our truck outside where he could keep an eye on it for us. The hotel is spotlessly clean and feels brand new. The bed was so comfy and we had a nice view from the big window. The bathroom was modern and 2 shower heads and spotless. Perfect hotel.
