The location is ideal. The staff is incredibly friendly and treats you like family. I found the decor charming, especially in the breakfast room. Great value with a friendly staff.

The bathroom, specifically the shower, was not as clean as you would hope. There was a massive power outtage while we were in Baden-Baden, which is obviously out of the owners' control, but considering that they mentioned that the power was working in their home area, it would have been nice if they offered some sort of makeshift breakfast, as it was included in the reservation (even breadrolls or such from a bakery). It's unfortunate this happened; again, the situation was beyond anyone's control. A little more reaction from the owners would have been appreciated, even as a gesture.

Breakfast was great, plentiful and the egg menu was delicious. Location excellent right next to the Caracalla with a direct tunnel route when it rains. We were hiking round the local forest and many routes were close by. Beds were comfortable too and the rooms were a good size, we had a small balcony to enjoy an evening beer.

Wifi was a bit patchy and used the free town WiFi instead on occasion.

Description says "bright room". We got a huge apartment. The ceiling was tall, decoration was quite stylish (not instagram-stylish, but like a proper classy apartment), the shower and bath were great. We also had a small kitchen (although we didnt use). We didnt see any grocery stores nearby, so that's something to consider if you are travelling by train like us. Our train and bus arrived about 10 min. past 10 pm and the reception kindly waited for us. Everything was perfect and good value for money. Also, hotel was 30 seconds away from the Roman Bath. So it was super convenient.

The location of this hotel is perfect, only a one-minute walk to both Caracalle Thermen and Friedrichsbad baths. The rooms are super clean and spacious, with plenty of space to unpack and enough outlets to charge all modern devices. The old-fashioned interior adds to its charm and there is a lot of art on the walls, making it much better than the generic "modern" hotels. We really enjoyed our stay here; it was effortless to go every day to one of the baths and spend the rest of the day exploring Baden-Baden. This family-owned business has its charm, with friendly and helpful staff always ready to answer questions. Breakfast was also good, with an egg dish available on request, plenty of bread (including kaiser buns), cheese, ham, yoghurts, and fruit to choose from. We would definitely come back!

If I had to mention a downside, the only things I could think of are: the lighting is not very bright and cannot be dimmed, and there is no bowl or catch-all to put your keys and wallets in when you arrive in the room.

Cozy family hotel in historic building. All the common areas are decorated with pictures, each worth spending at least several minutes to look at. We enjoyed that a lot. Decent breakfast with options to eat it inside or outside, at the terrace. Rooms are designed according to the charm of the building, yet with wooden modern furniture. Rooms are big enough with cute distinctive little elements. I particularly liked a tall (real!!) ficus plant in our room. The view from the room was amazing! Beds are cozy, sheets and towels spotless clean. Spacious bathroom with unexpectedly big bathtub, enough for 2 people. The hotel is 2 mins walk from the thermes, very close to the centre, however on a quite street. We were visiting during a festival, but we slept well through the night!

No veggies for breakfast.

The hotel is in an excellent location - just across the street from the Old Thermal Baths. The room was spacious, very convenient and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom could use some upgrading but its current state should not prevent from selecting this hotel. The parking space was reserved for me and was in front of the hotel which was really great as it is a busy tourist town. The breakfast options were very diverse and tasty.

One of the persons at the front desk was very rude, If that person could be avoided the overall stay would be very good.

Location of the hotel is fantastic - 2 min to the Friedrichsbad and Caracala Therme. The breakfast was excelent - you get the eggs fresh by order (e.g. boiled, fried with ham and/or cheese)... The staff is very nice.

Unfortunately, there is no parking slots for the car, because it is in city centre, but it is not so bad - the garage is 200m far from the hotel, and is not so expencive (33€ for 2 days)

Location was great and close to the parking. Breakfast was good but no evening meal option. lady on reception was helpful

Baden Baden is a classical beautiful city but everything is very very expensive. We had a meal in town which was double what we paid for the same meal elsewhere in Germany and the waitress treated us just as tourists once we were through the door.. very few "German" restaurants to choose from. Lots of Kebab and similar. Not what you visit Germany for.

The friendliness of the staff, cleanliness and old world charm of the building. Our rooms were a bit random but fun and homely none the less. The children had a lot of fun. Best buffet and hot breakfast so far. Cannot beat the location for access to both baths.

Could do with a little bit of an update but had a charm to it none the less.

I liked the free breakfast. The location is very close to the city centre and you can reach everything on foot. For the price, it is a great place to stay. I would recommend it if you stay only for a couple of days.

That there was no ventilator in the room and it was difficult to keep the room cool with 38° C outside. The walls are a bit thin. If the guests do not stay quiet (which luckily they did), then it could be too noisy for a "romantic" stay. The WiFi connection is poor.
