best bits: location, very central, perfect for thermal baths, Christmas markets etc check out at midday very friendly staff

the beds! we booked a double room but apparently in German this means two twin beds pushed together so there is a massive gap between the two single mattresses and, even worse, two separate single duvets. apparently this is normal in Germany (though many hotels don’t do this anymore) but I really think this should be made explicitly clear at the point of booking. we booked a double room, we got neither a double bed nor a double duvet so I don’t know how you can call this a double room.

The Location of the Hotel was very practical, being in the middle of the City as well as being walking distance from most of the things i wanted to visite. Despite being in the City center i didn't experience any Noise that disturbed my Stay/Sleep and it was rather quiet. The Breakfast was very good covering both high Quality and Variety.

There was nothing significant to dislike, the prices per night should have been a bit better but away from that, a very pleasant Stay

The staff were wonderful, all extremely friendly and helpful The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, quiet. Very comfortable bed Great location. Very good breakfast especially enjoyable on the lovely terrace with wisteria views

The TV was so old with such bad reception that it was unwatchable. The direct to the bath in the room mineral spa water taps were not working. The over bath shower was hard to control for both temperature and direction and had bad water pressure

Beautiful room decorated with antique style furniture, good amount of space. Great buffet-type breakfast. Staff was very friendly and the location is excellent: it's practically in the old centre, in a quiet corner and buss stop is near to reach the railway station. The hotel spa was even better than we excepted!

The thermal water tap in the room didn't work, but that wasn't a big problem for us.

My room was great for a relaxing weekend away. The clerk at the front desk was helpful with restaurant recommendations when I arrived late and didn't have reservations. Breakfast was delicious. The view from my balcony was gorgeous and it was a great spot for reading and people watching while enjoying a glass of wine from the bar downstairs.

The shower door in my room didn't close all the way and the bathroom would flood if I wasn't careful when showering.

The room was huge, the bath with thermal water was fun. The breakfast was good & the outdoor veranda to eat in was picturesque, away from main street. Good location to walk to the main street of the town, including to get to the Caracalla thermal baths. Staff were very helpful explaining things. Unloading luggage, then nearby parking was simple. Balcony & giant window/door a highlight.

No real negatives. The decor may not please all, as was less modern, but really was clean & not at all inhibiting. The door to enter the room was heavily sprung, so it swung shut a bit fast, which might be a problem for anyone slightly frail or unsteady on their feet.

This is a beautiful hotel, looks chic and cozy. The room I got was very clean and great size. However

I booked a Superior Double Room (that's one big bed) but I got a twin (two small beds next to each orher) so....I didn't sleep very well. Not only I slept in a all bed but also had a single duvet (cover) which means every time I turned the cover was too small and I was cold. How difficult is to provide a DOUBLE bed. If you don't have it just say it so I can book somewhere else.

Every member of the hotel staff that we encountered was helpful, friendly, and provided excellent service. The location was awesome and the ambiance of the hotel was fantastic! The old world feel and unique charm of the hotel is truly refreshing. I would have loved to experience the hotel in its prime! Our room was comfortable, well appointed, and spacious. Our room had a\c and a very comfortable bed and bedding. The breakfast was outstanding and the dining area and staff were superb! We didn’t actually utilize the hotel spa area or the thermal spring water pumped directly into our room, but the facilities looked professionally maintained and it was definitely an added bonus, if only we had a little more time to stay longer!

I don’t consider this a dislike, but some of the facilities showed a little normal wear and tear. For example faded carpet… However, I felt this added character and I enjoyed the feeling of stepping back in time and experiencing a non-cookie cutter facility in today’s commercial environment.

Friendly helpfully staff in this turn of the century beautifully maintained hotel. The breakfast had a good variety of different foods, and you can relax at the end of the day in the lobby bar.

Would not have hurt to have a small kettle in each room for coffee or tea.

We enjoyed this property as it was in a great location, it had very helpful staff and it had fair air conditioning.

The property had carpet in the room that appeared to be a bit old and did not look clean. I’m sure the carpet was clean, but it did not look new nor did it have a fresh look to it.
