Loved the location. Right across from the train station so it was super easy to get around.

This is just personal preference, but my room was quite small and didn’t have a mini fridge or any glassware which meant I had to eat out for every meal, which I kind of had hoped to avoid. And even though the windows did surprisingly well at blocking out noise, my room was overlooking a club. It was fun every night other than when I had to go to bed early for an early flight and there was a full-on concert happening outside lol. Don’t want to complain so much though, as it is Berlin after all!

I really enjoyed everything about my stay at the Amano East Side. The location is outstanding between the Ostbahnhof and the river making it very easy to get around on the transport system. The staff were kind and friendly and the facilities were clean and sleek. The rate I got on a double room was fair and reasonable and there is the option of a daily turn down service as well which is perfect if you want your room clean all of the time.

The only thing I didn't like was that the breakfast, bar and dining all seemed to be a little expensive. It didn't bother me though as there were plenty of options to go elsewhere

The location is absolutely fantastic and the hotel feels really contemporary and stylish. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great and bathroom was beautiful with a great shower. Our room was on the first floor with large windows facing a busy street, and we couldn’t hear a thing, really good soundproofing! Will definitely stay again. The location is also absolutely ideal for hopping around the city, being directly opposite Ostbahnhof - and close to the tram at Warschauer str. - giving simple access to ALL trains, buses, subway and metro links.

Two VERY minor things, which shouldn’t detract from an overall excellent experience and wouldn’t affect us staying again. But we would have preferred a dedicated baggage room for safe storage, and we really wanted to use the rooftop bar but it was closed this time despite the great weather during our visit. Maybe we can use next time, but this would not affect any decision to use this hotel, we loved our stay.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Staff speak excellent English and were friendly yet efficient. Small inconvenience of us requesting late check out of 5pm but it being put through for 2pm meant we had to cut our day short to go back to the hotel and sort. It was dealt with swiftly. One of the main reasons for booking this hotel was to use the skybar however due to a private event it was closed. This was pretty disappointing and reading other reviews, seems to happen a lot. So definitely something to consider if booking. Beds were super comfy. Shower was powerful with properly hot water. Aircon worked well and was very much needed. Would have been nice to have a small fridge to keep water in? We will definitely consider booking again if we come to Berlin as it was all in all a great stay!

As mentioned above, a couple of technical issues and a fridge would be handy.

personally the location is excellent, if you wanna stay East, and enjoy that are of Berlin, the offer is a good vlaue for your money. Hotel is cool with a young crowd staying there, facilities are quite new, and overall the place make your staying comfortable and pleasent! from now on this will be my first choice when visting Berlin

1) it was a pity we could not get an early check in at 13.00. For just 2 hours in advance, I was offered to pay $10 extra per each day. Another receptionist offered a $20 extra per day when I asked to check in at 14.00. Of course the extra pay was for upgrading the room. 2) the only thing spotted is that the room I was staying in was a little bit dark, even when all the lights were on

Amazing hotel with super comfortable rooms and lovely decor throughout. The bed was very spacious and comfortable. Great in-room smart tablet that could order room service and control the TV on the wall. Staff were super helpful and the breakfast was such an amazing selection, I would love to stay here again. The location is prime because the hotel is directly opposite the Ostbahnhof. Would instantly recommend and revisit the AMANO East Side.

N/A, it was all perfect and the staff were even accommodating when I asked to take food to the hotel room for my partner when she was unwell.

We had a great time. We booked Amano EastSide because it is close to the concert venue in Kreuzberg at which The Comet is Coming was playing their modern jazz... We liked everything... primarily the people. Great young staff. Young men and women at the bar and in the restaurant. So polite, so friendly, smiling. Great food: we love Italian food and were so surprised with the way lettuce was served... all head intact, don't hesitate to order, great experience. All food was very tasty. The evening bar is very atmospheric, with very nice staff again. The room was very clean which, given the dark colours of interior, must take a lot of work to dust. Convenient garage with a lot of space to maneouvre the vehicle safely.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a modern, clean, and well-designed hotel that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was impressed by the beautiful entrance and the attention to detail that was evident throughout the entire building. The lobby was particularly stunning, with a sleek and contemporary yet very unique design that immediately made me feel better after a long day of traveling. The staff was friendly and encouraged to try to make my stay pleasant, though I didn't feel prioritized as a guest. While I just stayed for a night, I only got to experience the Standard Bedroom. Though it wasn't very spacious, the big mirror walls optimally spread the incoming light that felt very natural because of the large windows which appeared to be very solid and so well sealed that you'd barely notice the big noisy street on the outside. The use of high-quality materials was noticeable in every corner of the room, and I appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the design. I want to especially point out the overwhelming indirect lighting that put a lot of warmth into the room and gave me a feeling of comfort. But what really set this hotel room apart was the rainshower in the bathroom. It was one of the best I've ever experienced in a hotel, and I found myself lingering under the warm water far longer than I probably should have. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a modern and well-designed space to relax and recharge. Of course, the location right next to the train station is a big advantage in Berlin and makes up for the fact that the hotel is not located in a more central area. The attention to detail in every aspect of the design, from the beautiful entrance and lobby to the high-quality materials used in the rooms, made for an excellent stay that exceeded my expectations.

A smile can change the world. If the staff was more focused on providing the guests and would convey the feeling that they enjoyed doing their job a little more, it could have been even closer to perfection. It would have been nice to experience the rooftop bar. Considering that I traveled in February, however, it is understandable that the bar was not open.

The location was fantastic, only a 5 minute walk to Ostbahnhof station and 10 minutes to the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The standard double room was very clean with comfortable beds and beautiful decor throughout the hotel.

Room was quite warm, the thermostat only went down to 18°C so we had to leave the window open although it was quite loud as the hotel is on a busy road. The only mirror in the room was above the sink which made getting ready quite difficult. They also charge 4€ at reception for a bottle of water which is quite pricey.

The room was clean and tidy. The face tissue was not replenished and the shower cap was not replaced even when the room was left for tidying up.

On our last day, the fire alarm went off and woke us up. We all went downstairs. There were police and firefighters in the lobby. But the staff were all laughing and gossiping with each other. We didnt know what was the cause of the alarm neither were any information told to us. It's one thing to be alerted of an emergency but it's another to be "too happy" in the midst of an emergency when all your hotel guest were shaken up left wondering what is happening not even offered any explanation whatsoever. Upon checking out, on the same day. All the staff at the lobby acted as if nothing happened.
