the online check in system was faulty. While most of the staff was courteous and competent, the lady who checked us in didn’t seem to care about local regulations or about doing a good job. a little too “chilled out and casual” for my taste. For example I told her that the electronic system had my details twice and didn’t have my partner’s details at all so the local registration (Meldebogen) was not correct but she said it was okay the way it was. It just seemed lazy and kind of a security hazard. she didn’t want to see any ID so technically anyone could check in under a false name.

brilliant transport links, right by a tourist attraction and able to get the hop on hop off tour bus right outside, lovely breakfast, very clean, could walk to karl marx allee and alexanderplatz, nice river walk nearby too, took us a while to find them but when we did we realised loads of restaurants were really close too!

sadly the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings, we think probably because of covid but it wasn't explained very well and we didn't know until we got there.

I’m a female solo traveler who stayed in a single budget room for one night for a spontaneous trip to Berlin. I was thoroughly impressed with the facilities given the price. Contactless check-in was relatively straightforward and convenient with the Schulz app. The digital key was nice as well. My room was small and cozy, but it was spotless, the bathroom was as well. The air conditioning control was amazing with the hot weather. Bed was super comfy, the TWO pillows I got were amazing (and not flat like the usual budget hotel pillows!!). The room had tea and coffee available with a kettle and coffee maker. The TV in the room was also equipped with streaming services like Netflix. There is no peephole in the door, which I liked for privacy purposes. Overall I felt super safe and would stay here again in a heartbeat! I would recommend the budget room for anyone staying here solo for just a night or so!

The only minor issue is that I experienced issues with was the Wi-Fi. Maybe it was because I was on the top floor, but I had a very weak internet signal. Turning off Wi-Fi gave me better and faster results than using the provided hotel internet.

Great breakfast and a great location ! The hotel is just across the street from the Ostbanhof train station. A lot of restourants at the Mercedez Platz (15 minute walk). Warschauer Straße and Alexanderplatz are both about a 30min walk from the hotel. Great staff, extremely nice. Rooms were perfectly clean. Wifi was perfect. TV in the room and an espresso machine... Just overall an amazing value for money. The whole hotel looks so good. I had a beautiful time and will definitely be back.

There isn't a whole lot in a 500m radius. Just the station which does have some fast food places, bakeries and shops. So if you want to find a restourant or a supermarket, you'll need to go for a walk. Was not an issue for me at all but it might be for you. The room was a bit small but I was in a room for 4 with 3 friends so that's completely understandable. No fridge in the room though, that would've been nice.

Conviently opposite train station and bus route. Easy to get to airport or city center. Beds were very comfortable. Our room was on top floor and had coffee machine and kettle which was great as we were staying 7days. There is a lovely modern feel to the hotel and it seems popular with young groups. Also had a small kitchen, with microwave , fridge etc , and a seating area. Staff were helpful when needed. Randomly, I loved the smell that greeted you as you entered the hotel ( it’s a woman thing ).

We did not have food there, the breakfast seemed pricey. Nothing else to dislike

Location perfect - right beside the East Side Gallery which is cool, and right opposite Ostbanhof which is a super useful train station - can access the airport from it directly in 25 mins, and it makes two of the coolest areas (Friedrichschain & Kreuzberg) both easily accessible by just a couple stops on the S-Bahn. Also probably the closest hotel to Berghain if you're trying to get in (as we successfully did). Ostbanhof is only a stop or two away from Alexanderplatz also, which is right in the centre of Berlin (where a lot of tourists will probably go to). Aside from the amazing location, the hotel is just brilliant. Very modern with super warm & friendly atmosphere, with a lobby you could hang about in if you wanted (cafe, seating area, TV etc), easy check-in. Seems to be a pretty brand new hotel also. Rooms are modern and immaculate. Great showers etc. Mix of different ages staying there. Overall just great, would advise to stay here.

Nice, calm location. Supermarkets for all tastes across the street. The hotel offers lockers at a very low price to store your bags if you arrive earlier than the check in time and your room isn’t ready before that time. Room is tiny but super convenient. The hotel has a very nice design and attracts a lot young travelers, which which adds to a lively atmosphere. Breakfast is good and I would recommend it, otherwise there is a cafe inside the hotel where you can eat a sandwich or a cake, etc. The hotel also has a restaurant. What I really loved as a solo traveler is the area with the more private tables in the restaurant, which make it so nice to eat alone😁🤩 The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful👏

No fridge at the room which was not a problem just a matter of organising yourself differently. A bit more detailed cleaning would be great, but all was really good on the average! What I would absolutely love is if they could clean the net outside the window and if the window could open fully for more fresh air. Still these were not a problem for me just ideas of improvement of an already excepted concept of a hotel like Schultz is❤️

Room was very nice, clean, quiet, but really small. we have booked a room for two, but there were two more beds above our bed and we were hitting our heads all the time)))) it was not a disaster, but the room was really tiny and these two beds above made it even smaller. as for the rest - everything was perfect. we didn't even have to register at the hotel, since it was all done online and we have got keys to the room on our phones. There is a park&ride spot in front of the hotel, so you can see your car through the window of your room. There is a police station in the building of Ostbahnhof, so it is pretty safe there. The cost of parking is 7,5 euro per night.

it would be great to have glasses for drinking in the room. found some disposable ones at Penny market across the street. The location is pretty far from the downtown, but we knew it right from the start. The train station and subway is 2 minutes away from the hotel, so it is not a problem to get anywhere you need. To tell you the truth, I was hoping there would be a nice embankment along the river in front of the hotel, but not in this part of the city(((

The staff are very friendly and are always looking to help whenever they can. The hotel is beautifully designed, and has a stunning cafe and bar to enjoy on your stay. The hotel is located at the Berlin Wall so if it’s something you’re looking to see on your stay, this is the place to be. The rooms were very clean, the sheets were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were all great. The food was delicious and the beer was great, especially in the outside beer garden in the sun.

The room layout was a little awkward, the room was two single beds, a bunk bed above, and a couch. We travelled as a group of four pretty big guys, the smallest person in our party was 6’1, so it made sleeping on the bunk bed/couch quite uncomfortable, and it was incredibly difficult to get in and out properly. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend the 4 person room if your party is made of tall people like us. (This is a pretty specific issue though, so this is more of a heads up than a complaint). Also, the rooms get incredibly warm, and the AC is a temperature regulator instead of a traditional air conditioner.

The location is excellent. It's right opposite to Ostbahnhof which made our travelling and sightseeing easy. The room is clean. I like the system of room service, which requires booking, as it's environment friendly. Being able to use the mobile to open the room is amazing. This means there's no need at all to go to the counter for check-in and check-out.

The room is noise proof that we don't hear the next door neighbours but we did hear noise from the corridor. I'd also appreciate if there would be more variety of breakfast as we stayed several nights.
